A sleep sofa in the great room provides sleeping accommodations for an additional two guests. There is a Futon in the rec room downstairs as well.
The kitchen is fully-equipped including a coffeemaker, toaster oven, microwave, dishwasher, and plenty of cooking utensils, dishes, and silverware. There is also a gas grill for outdoor cooking.

Some water toys and floats are also available for guests' use. The cove is a no wake zone so it's calm and safe for paddle boards and floating .
Fish and swim right off the private dock. Take the johnboat out for a leisurely paddle around the cove. Head out to the main body of the lake for great water-skiing and tubing. You can rent a motorboat or jet-ski from one of the nearby marinas. Spend the day touring Virginia's local wineries or playing a round of golf on one of the nearby courses.
This private home will be yours exclusively for the entire rental period. Occasionally, the lawn service company may arrive to mow the grass. This is a great place to get away with your family for a fun-filled week on the water. It's also a great place to stay for graduations and reunions. In addition, FishTales at Lake Anna is centrally located to many of Virginia's historical attractions making it a convenient home-base during your visit. Loved location and view but lots of steps for people 73 and 75

I loved the layout of this rental. It was very roomy and relaxing. There is a beautiful view of the lake from two sides of the home. Plenty outside furniture including a nice swing. We enjoyed grilling, boating, a campfire, and chilling on the dock overlooking the lake. We had a great week!

House is located on a quiet cove with a nice dock that made it easy to get in out of the water. House was clean and fit our needs perfectly.

Very well equipped both inside and outside. Owners very responsive to a few issues. Use of pier, paddle boards, kayak. Goof fishing for children. Shallow water near pier enhances feeling of safety.

We were very pleased with the beautiful home we rented on Lake Anna. Beautiful gated community. Great dock area with Adirondack chairs to relax in and a place to easily walk into shallow water. Great kayaks and paddle boards plus rowboat provided. We spent hours floating, fishing, kayaking and made campfires in the evening in the large fire circle. Nice neighborhood for our daily walk, large yard that is cleared for wiffle ball and other yard games. The boys used the bball hoop outside a lot. The game room was great with a ping pong table and foosball plus TV and extra room for sleeping. Nice, responsive hosts, we will return!

What a great house and location. Perfect for smaller kids as you can walk right into a shallow part of the lake. House has everything you need.

Lots of nice features at FishTales. Fooseball, ping pong, paddle boards, private dock, and fire pit... we did it all. Our friends enjoy cooking and found the kitchen well stocked. Great for teens to move about on one floor while adults are on another. We brought several large rafts with us for swimming which allowed everyone to be out in the deeper cooler water and away from the shoreline where the water is warm. We hope to visit again in the future. The hosts we very responsive to our questions before and during the trip.

This is a great house with good amenities for a family vacation. The three bedrooms were what we needed for our family, including being laid out in a way that we could have an infant on the property without worrying about noise waking them up from a nap. The equipment available for cooking was just want you would need to cook great family meals. Overall, we look forward to returning.

We loved our stay, well maintained and cared for home with a great dock with both shade and sun all day and liked the no wake zone. Great for canoes and paddle boards , thank you for providing those !

If you are looking for the most modern house on the lake, this ain't it. We were not and it fit our needs perfectly. The house was clean and the owners were great communicators. They answered all of our questions quickly.
The boat dock has trek decking so no need to worry about splinters. Water was really warm and the walk in steps were a nice feature. The dock is a little bit of a walk from the house but it is flat so even those that are not the most mobile will have no trouble getting there. Mattresses are bit rough but we managed. Again, the house fit our needs perfectly. Will book again.
Only real downside is that you have to take your garbage to the dump. They do not have trash pickup. It also wasn't on the way for anything we did. The Dollar General, Wineries, and Food Lion were the opposite direction. Roughly a 10 minute detour if you would do it when you leave and are heading the other direction.

Our whole family loved staying in this home. The Rob was super responsive. There was an A/C problem and he had it fixed the very next day. This would have been an August disaster if he did not promptly take care of us. The location is amazing, with a beautiful, large and quiet cove. Basement rec room was great so the teens could hang out and distance from the adults. Short walk to the dock. The house is quaint and clean, and had everything we needed. I really recommend this house.

House was just as described. It had everything we needed for a wonderful week. Dock gives easy access to lake and the owners provide a kayak, paddle board and more. The cove location is perfect for swimming and floating.

This location suited our family’s needs perfectly! We stayed here in 2008 and the paddle boards were an excellent addition to the property (and a hot commodity for the younger crowd). The owners did a wonderful job communicating and we are so grateful they offered up their home to us!

Fish Tales was a great spot for our family to relax for a week. The owners were very responsive & helpful with our questions before & after our arrival.
Shallow water off the dock to wade in tapers off deep enough to swim. Caught a few catfish off the dock and the sunfish were always biting. Sun & shade for everyone.
Fisherman's Cove is a nice no-wake zone perfect for paddling a kayak or SUP. There are a couple boards & a kayak available at Fish Tales. There are some floats/tubes available too, but the tubes were too big for our family. There was an aluminum rowboat as well.
This place was lots of fun, and we would definitely be willing to stay here again.
Only a few negatives about our stay. The cleaning crew rushed their work and wasn't thorough (to be fair, we arrived a bit early before they were done). And the grocery store is about 20-25min away, so stock up. Otherwise things were great!
We'd definitely recommend it.

Clean, comfortable, with plenty of room for our group of 6. The outside space is great, and the hosts did a great job of communicating everything.

Great family getaway. From start to finish Rob has been extremely helpful along the whole process. Our 2families had plenty of space and a ton of fun. great fishing and swimming in the quiet cove.

We stayed at Fish Tales for our family vacation and had a wonderful time. The house had everything we needed,; it was especially nice that bed linens were provided. Even flash lights were there which we ended up using due to a storm and the lights went out for about half hour. Enjoyed the black out playing board games with my boys. The house is on a wide cove so the lake was clean and it was great to go swimming, rowing on the canoe, and fishing. We enjoyed building a fire in the fire pit and roasting marshmallows. The beds were extremely comfortable. I highly recommend staying here. The neighbor hood is also quiet and great for walking and riding bikes. We had fun using the owners canoe, thank you and playing foos ball and ping pong. We had an equal amount of fun inside the house as we did outside and in the lake. Thank you Rob and Vicky got the use of your beautiful home.

This was our first time visiting lake Anna. We didn't know much going into the rental process but really relied on others reviews and the detailed listings on home away. This property was everything we expected and more!! We had 4 adults and 5 kids for the week and not only did we have plenty of room, the downstairs level with the "play room" was such a great addition to have for down time for the kids. The property was beautiful and the items provided for water enjoyment were great. The kids ranged from 2-13 and they had so much to do. We loved riding our bikes in the evening through the beautiful development and kayaking during the day. A wonderful experience and we're looking forward to planning our next getaway. Thank you!!
