This creative vacation rental was designed by an extremely talented local artist. It is a short walk to downtown Bar Harbor, the shore, and offers easy access to Acadia National Park. The Island Explorer, located downtown, offers a free bus service to anywhere on the island. Located in a residential area, the top floor of this renovated home is a picture of serenity, peace and quiet. Surrounded by tall trees, the space is reminiscent of dwelling in a luxurious tree house! Enjoy brilliant stars on a custom stargazing bench, relaxing on a walkout deck off the master bedroom, or sitting on the private covered front porch. The spectacular bathroom is the showcase featuring a one of a kind breathtaking tile creation. As you sit in the jacuzzi tub you will be swept away into a vision of Frenchman's bay featuring the elusive Orca whale. Not your average run of the mill vacation rental. Words can not describe what it has to offer.

Golfing: The historic Kebo Vally golf course is located just over the hill, offering world-class golfing.

Children: Directly across the street you will find Glen Mary woods, a city owned park, adjacent is the Glen Mary wading pool, perfect for younger children. Picnic are, restroom and swings are located next to the pool.

The very sweet and conscientious owners made our trip destination extremely comfortable, as they stocked the kitchen will all necessary appliances and equipment. The location of the rental is perfect for walking to the town of Bar Harbor, or driving to locations outside of town. Overall, would give this a 10 out of 10!

The three bedroom apartment was upstairs, private, and cool at night with cross breezes. The air conditioner was on when we arrived (a hot week), which was a nice touch, but we did not need it in the morning or evening or overnight. Just a few blocks from town, and a few miles from Acadia, the neighborhood is leafy and quiet. The owners (right downstairs) respected our privacy all week and were friendly when we met up two times in the backyard by the separate entrance. We hope to be back. It could not have been much better.

The location is incredible. We were able to walk to downtown Bar Harbor in 10 minutes and had easy access to Acadia. Our host responded quickly to any questions we had, and the space was great. I recommend staying here!

We loved our stay here. The location is excellent—10 minute walk to downtown Bar Harbor and 10 minute drive to Acadia National Park. The place was clean and comfortable and had a well stocked kitchen. The beds were comfortable, the decor was warm and inviting; there was three porches/balconies we had access to as well! We would definitely stay here again.

This VRBO was perfect for our stay in Bar Harbor! While a lot of stuff is closed in the winter, it was close to everything we wanted to do. The space was clean and a good size for our family of four. Would love to stay here again when we visit!

Wonderful place in a quiet neighborhood - away from the crowds in Bar Harbor, but close enough to walk to shops and restaurants. Everything was as advertised. Our only suggestion would be to add a grab bar in the bathroom tub.

This home is on a quiet street across from a wooded park. close walking distance to main street and all of the shops and restaurants. Spacious rooms and everything we needed was there. Hiking trails nearby that take you right into Acadia Park. Strong WIFI, cable t.v., full kitchen, plenty of hot water for back to back showers. 2 Out door seating areas (decks). Cant miss with this property.

My fiancé and I enjoyed our two-week stay very much and would recommend this property as a place to stay while exploring Bar Harbor, Acadia, and surrounding areas. Host was very communicative and took great care of us.

The home was very clean and cozy and we enjoyed having the park so close for our toddler to play. Easy walk to downtown/water front for coffees, food, shopping. Very responsive home owners. If anyone has mobility concerns, they should be aware the apartment is upstairs and climbing into the tub for a shower is a big step on tile, so take care. It was a great spot for us and I would stay here again.

Stayed in Acadia before season started. The property is conveniently located, comfortable, and a terrific place to enjoy Acadia NP and located on a quiet street with off-street parking which would be even more desirable during peak season. The kitchen is large with all of the conveniences of home, although there is plentiful dining in the area if you don't wish to cook. This was an ideal setting and location for a family trip.

Our family just stayed at the home for the second year in a row. It is super clean and well designed. The location is great-short drive to Acadia and very close to downtown Bar Harbor (you can walk or drive). The hosts are there if you need them but allow for plenty of privacy too. We love it and plan to come back again next year.

Long weekend in Bar Harbor. Property is cute and very convenient to downtown Bar Harbor and Acadia NP. Lots of little details in the space kept the kids intrigued. Plenty of supplies in the kitchen. We had 5 people taking showers and we never had an issue with hot water running out. Owner responded rapidly and was nice enough to suggest things to do. Enjoyed our stay and will definitely consider this property in the future! Thanks for a great (and much needed) retreat!

We stayed here once before. It was equally good the second time. Nothing had changed, so the familiarity was a plus. The location is excellent: in town, but private. We saw deer and wild turkeys in the yard, and, though nearby, no neighbors were visible from the apartment. Wifi was excellent and important as we were on a "working" getaway. TV, however, was impossible. Not important as we had internet and plenty of reading on hand. Thank you to Judy for providing such lovely accommodation.

We did not sleep comfortably the 7 days that we were there the mattresses all need to be replaced they are long overdue. All of the living room furniture needed to be updated there were rips in it and very old. other than that it was a lovely location close to downtown bar harbor plenty of places to eat and drink we would not rent this location again.

All was as advertised. We especially enjoyed the quiet privacy of the apartment in the middle of a very busy tourist season in Bar Harbor. It was lovely to have a peaceful breakfast in the morning while listening to the birds before heading to town or hitting the trails in Acadia. We were able to walk to town easily for dinner or shopping, and Acadia was just a short drive away. At the time of our stay the wading pool wasn’t open across the street. This was no big deal for us but might be something to ask about for those with younger kids.

We had a great stay in this apartment. It was the perfect size for our family of 4, and we enjoyed the front porch and back deck. We cooked quite a bit in the spacious kitchen, and relaxed in the living room. The jetted tub was great after a day of hiking. The beds were very comfortable. The place had everything we needed, and was very clean. The walk to restaurants and shops was quick (10-15 min), and we enjoyed being a little ways away from the busy part of town. We highly recommend this apartment!

This was a perfectly located rental within walking distance to everything we needed. There is nothing like a July 4th in Bar Harbor! My only suggestion is to update the furniture. The sofa was so uncomfortable that no one could sit on it.

Our family was meeting up in Bar Harbor to revisit places we enjoyed many years ago (our family stayed in 3 separate houses, just 2 of us in this one but with visits from others). The apartment worked well for us, it's in a great location...close enough to town but not in the thick of the busyness so it was quiet and a good base to explore the island. It was cute and clean and had everything we needed for our stay.

First let me say this was my third trip to the area and my best experience so far! When we come back we will be utilizing this VRBO again if available! Marsha and Judy were a dream to work with and allowed me to ship diapers and wipes in advance which made our first plane experience with a toddler that much lighter! The home itself is an ideal location that is a quick walk or drive to town, also incredibly easy access to park loop road, or even carriage road entrance if you choose to bike. The home was pristine condition with every amenity we needed for ourselves as well as our son. Overall I would give 10 stars if I could! Thank you again!!
