Great views.

A beautiful house on the lake. We really enjoyed our time kayaking and fishing on the lake. The property is just as it was described. I would highly recommend this property if you are looking for a quiet spot to get away and relax.

I would book this home again. It was beautiful, clean, plenty of room and we had all the necessary items for a comfortable 4 days. It was a quick walk down a beautiful path to get to Green lake. This lake is clear, clean, and the area quiet. We were protected from the wind and couldn’t see any neighbors. Very private for swimming and sunbathing. We sat out on the dock every night to watch the sunset, so pretty. We used the kayaks and water toys at the house and didn’t turn the tv on once! We have teenagers so that should tell you how awesome this place is. So much more to explore, sad we had to leave. Ellsworth was maybe 15 minutes away for groceries or eating out. I read a review that docked stars because it was hard to find. Not true if you follow your gps. I also saw a review that docked stars because they couldn’t figure out the keypad to open the door, but they were using the wrong one! The keypad is on the deadbolt, easy peasy putting the code in, no issues.

Our family of 5 + grandparents have never been to this region. I messaged the property owner via Vrbo but received no response. I contacted Vacasa customer support and received partial answers to questions. When I booked the property, it was listed to fit 8 ppl, but upon arrival, we found out there was no sofa bed. We received a $25/night reimbursement for the inconvenience.
The overgrown bushes around the path to the main entrance made it tricky for us to bring our belongings into the house. The trees in the backyard are starting to cover the lake view from the living room and dining area. We didn't use the canoes because of how difficult it would have been to move them into the water through a narrow path.
The spacious and comfortable house had linens, towels, bathroom essentials (soap, shampoo, and conditioner), kitchen essentials (salt, pepper, oil, soy sauce, hot chocolate, tea, coffee, sugar, paper products, and sandwich bags) games, puzzles, legos, books, standing fans, and ceiling fans. We enjoyed cool evenings/mornings during our stay, but the house can warm up on hot and humid days. We brought our Apple TV because we weren't sure if the house had a Roku system or a smart TV for us to stream.
I contacted guest service to learn about the check-out procedure (a list of instructions would easily help guests out). This property is located in a very quiet and secluded area with very comfortable rooms and I would stay in this house again.

You can tell this place used to be good, but it is going downhill rapidly and needs upkeep. Location is a bit difficult to find initially (Google has Gator Way wrong) and roads a bit sketchy to get in. The place itself is very dated. TV didn't function properly. Deck railings and part of the dock were loose and need to be secured. Couch is terrible and needs replaced. Basement is NOT available, so the listing is inaccurate there. Grill out of propane. Place is getting overgrown with trees and plants. Walk to the lake is downhill a bit and through some trees. No AC was known going in, at least they have several fans to make it more tolerable. Overall OK stay but wouldn't return.

The property was perfect for a several day trip to Acadia. We were two couples and kids and there was room enough for everybody. Everything was clean and all the expected amenities were there and great. The only negative for us was the the downstairs bed was super soft and uncomfortable - but I also realize that's a subjective thing. Some people like soft beds. We didn't get to use the kayak or canoe cos it was too cold but they had all their paddles and looked like they would have been fun to go out on.

We lucked out with the weather! Lovely home. Location not for anyone with mobility issues. Lake is so clean and we used all of the water toys. Kitchen is nice with full size fridge and washer dryer. Great size rooms

Great home, wonderful view, nice accomodations. Had all we needed, loved the access to the lake.

House is beautiful and access to lake was definitely a fun to add. But i was disappointed as one of the bedroom was not available. Access to basement was locked due to a upgrade/construction and it was not communicated or presented on the website. It was not expected and we expected a better experience.

Stayed one week at Loon Cove Cottage - it was a lovely retreat, perfect size for 2 couples. The house was clean and exactly as pictured. It was great to have a well equipped kitchen to prepare meals, and the washer/dryer for dirty laundry. We enjoyed star gazing from the back dock. The house is well back into “the forest” and private. Be sure to arrive before dark - the last mile of road is unpaved and not well marked (we made several wrong turns before we found the right place). The location is 30-45 minutes to Acadia so keep that in mind if you plan to be in the park every day. This was my first experience with Vacasa. About a month prior to our check in they informed me the basement area would be unavailable and offered to either cancel the reservation or receive a 10% refund. I chose the refund since we didn’t need the space. It took over a month & several phone calls to actually receive it, but eventually they got things sorted out and I received the promised refund. The Vacasa agents on the phone were always polite and responsive.

The Loon Cove Cottage was wonderful. It had many places to relax and enjoy the lake view. The dock was amazing for the kids. We used both the kayaks and canoe. The house itself had everything you would need- kitchen gear, shampoo & conditioner, laundry detergent, etc. it had plenty of space for people to gather or have time apart. There are tons of games, puzzles, movies and children’s books to enjoy. The view from the deck and dock were quintessential Maine. The house was also close to grocery stores and lobster shops- all you need!
Unfortunately, the only issue was mold in the basement (near some sleeping quarters). We contacted Vacasa and they sent someone to help clean it up but I suspect it is an on-going problem. One member of our party did get sick from the mold.

Big 3-stories house in the forest and by the lake. Large rooms and kitchen. Plenty supplies. We are a group of 5 friends really enjoyed it. The only thing is the direction. Since it’s in the woods GPS stops by the mailbox by roadside which is still some distance away and not easy to find. The sign to the house is faded and not easy to find. So be sure to get there before dark. Also the lower level of the house is not available for guests until 2023 but it is not mentioned on the listing.

The secluded house on beautiful Green Lake was amazing. The amenities were also an added plus.

This house over-delivered for us. Great well appointed kitchen and huge dining and living room areas were great. Big screened porch with dining table was awesome! Can’t see any neighbors! Plenty of room for large families. Definitely will return.

The view was beautiful and access to the lake was great. The canoe and kayaks were nice and plenty of life jackets were provided. The cabin is a bit remote and finding our way in somewhat challenging at first. We had a local family member join us for dinner and had to meet and lead him in. That being said there was very little traffic on the dirt road in the week we were there we never met another car on the narrow part of the road.
The bedrooms on the first and second floor were nice and comfortable. All utensils, cookware, etc were available to make meal preparation at the cabin easy. The screened in porch was great on the days the mosquitoes were more prevalent.
The basement had a nasty smell on arrival. After emptying the dehumidifier it was somewhat improved, but never completely cleared, In addition the basement was cold and despite being told several times that we would hear from the local team, we never heard from anyone locally.
Overall we enjoyed the trip. We had three generations staying together on this trip, which made having the separate sleeping spaces desirable.

Nice place for family gathering. Issue with hot water but maintenance was quick! No complaints with that, but cleanliness needs to be addressed:(

Remote lakeside cabin
Lovely setting in a beautiful lake. Very remote and hard to find in dark. Amenities were not up to par. Couldn’t get tv to work; no heat in basement; stairs to basement were very steep; washing machine funky; only two of the beds was sufficient for a full size adult. Lovely setting.

Beautiful view and peaceful vacation
Stunning locale, full amenities, owner responsive to request to check on shower heat. Only suggestion would be to have clear instructions for thermostat and garbage removal. Great for large groups. We hope to visit again!

House on the lake
House was nice, needed some minor repairs, but overall - we had a very good time there. Secluded area, lots of privacy, beautiful lake, we had kayaks, canoe and paddle board available for our use. There was everything that we needed.
Would really recommend the house who wants privacy, piece and gorgeous views!

This cabin was exactly what we needed. We spent our week sitting on the dock, swimming in the lake and visiting Acadia. Will recommend to others and come back!

Nice but a little disappointed
The property was beautiful and location on the lake was great. I was disappointed with a few things at the property. The first and most noticeable was the dock or lack there of. If you review the listing it clearly shows a nice long dock going out onto the lake. When we arrived the dock was in pieces sitting on the first section. It was clearly pulled up for the winter and not yet put back together. Seeing how we went a full week after memorial weekend, June 5-12 the dock should have been put back in place. The primary reason we picked this property was the dock and the ability to swim and kayak off it. The property manager was able to come by the next day and move some of the decking off to the side but it was much to short to be safely used with all the rocks next to shore. We were told the owner was supposed to have it installed that weekend which it never was. Then some minor issues such as lack of hot water in the upstairs shower, no garbage pick up (we had to drop off and pay at local dump), and ants in the kitchen. I get with a house in the woods ants will be a problem but it was a little disturbing to see them every few minutes in the kitchen. Taking the trash to the dump was not really an issue but I wish it would have stated that in the listing. The property itself is very pretty and if the dock was in place the other things would not have been such a big issue. The combination of all the above made it less enjoyable then it could have.

Gorgeous Views!
Overall, a very nice property. Gorgeous sunsets and views. The screen porch was essential and much appreciated as it’s super buggy. We were very upset the dock wasn’t put together as advertised since this was one of the main reasons we chose this property.

Nice location
This was a beautiful home. It is very secluded but still close to everything. We were not far way from Bangor or Acadia National Park. Easy drives to both. We did experience issues with the heat and delivery of gas but Vacasa did make it right.

The view was amazing and the house was outstanding ,,wish the dock was out and the canoe had an oar. Other than that it was a great time and place.

Lovely location
The house is beautifully sited on a clean, quiet lake. No neighbors can be seen. Just what we needed. The house itself could use some updates, particularly one bathroom. The lower-level was quite musty. It was reasonably equipped.

Lovely home on beautiful lake.
We loved Green Lake and the house was lovely. It got very cold and we couldn’t find any heat source to warm the house and no extra blankets were left out for us. Other than that we loved our week.
