We enjoyed our time in Stanley and this property worked well for our group.

Good location, easy to get to Stanley and the Sawtooths. Decent place to stay. View from porch is covered up by trees, you have to stand around the side of the place by the cabin under construction for a view. Please note, it is not a stand alone cabin and connected to another place.

We’re the generation that has aged out of tent camping at Redfish after 50 years. The kids still have campsites at Point, but having a real bed and bathroom was a huge upgrade for us. The house was perfect for us. We saw wildlife roaming along Valley creek while we had our coffee then off to Redfish for the day.
Thank you.

Every year we stay in Stanley, visiting family. We liked the location and the cabin.
There were a few issues, we could not get in the gate, wrong code. And, after a 7 hour drive it was upsetting. We reached out to the property manager and finally got the correct code.
The refrigerator wasn't working, and the light was out as well. The ice maker was not working, (broken).
Over all, we managed to have a good time regardless.
We are older 68 and 75, so it would have been nice to have a handrail to manage the stairs. All bedrooms are upstairs.

The guest house served us well for our 3 days in Stanley. The location and views were great. The linens and beds were clean and comfy but the house overall could have used a deep clean.

We had a great stay. The property came as advertised. The house had a great location. The kids loved the horses and the proximity to the creek and town.

Great Location
This property is in a great location-comfortable beds, well stocked, beautiful deck/porch, close to hot springs in the creek. There were lots of fans and we had no trouble keeping the house and bedrooms a comfortable temperature. Looking forward to staying here again!

So beautiful and relaxing
View from the cabin was amazing. The fenced in yard was perfect for our Husky! The place was clean and nice. The town had some fun restaurants but the grocery store was lacking so if you like to cook bring your food with you. Property was lovely!

Idaho Adventure 2020
The cabin/house was perfect for us. Slept all 7 adults with no problem. Everything worked. We ate out some and cooked in some. Location was great. Stanley in September is beautiful.

Beautiful location close to town
This is a great spot right near the center of Stanley. The kitchen is well-stocked and the yard is fenced, which was perfect for our dog. My only compliant would be that the wifi did not work very well. This wasn't a big issue for us as we weren't trying to work from the house, but it would have been an issue if we were. Would definitely recommend!

Beautiful setting. Quiet and peaceful.
Wrong address on reservation. Took 30 minutes + to figure it out. Attempt to contact property manager not successful...either phone or text. Stove did not work. No instruction as to how to turn on the hear. Back deck has not been swept in weeks. Back deck dining table not clean of tree debris. Suggestions for property manager are multiple. Guest book with instruction such as how to turn on the heat. How about calling at check in in time or before to make certain found the location? Welcome basket that contains bottle water, some fruit etc for the length of drive to get to Stanley? Nice property....poorly managed.

Beautiful location
This rental is in a beautiful location. The house is accommodating with 3 bdrm and 2&1/2 bath. It would be great if more windows actually opened than just the ones in one of the bedrooms. We used the fans but was still a little too warm. The deck is great with views of the creek and mountains! (Bring something for mosquitoes!!!) We would absolutely stay there again.

Awesome Location Along Valley Creek in Stanley
We had a wonderful stay in Stanley. The location was perfect... short walk to town. Loved riding tubes down Valley Creek.
I took off 1 star because there is only 1 room with opening windows in the entire guesthouse... makes it difficult to stay cool at night. The other issue was being awoken before 7 am on our last day there by the sounds of diesel pickups starting in the driveway just below that single open window!

Lovely home away from home for a vacation in Stanley!
This is a lovely and well-located property. It is peaceful and has beautiful views. It allows easy access to town and to the main roads one would take to get to local hikes and lakes. It is well-maintained and very comfortable overall; it is also better supplied (esp the kitchen) than other similar rentals I've stayed in.
As some other reviews have mentioned, the upstairs bedroom that does not have windows that open can get a bit stuffy. We dealt with this by leaving the windows in the adjacent bedroom open and the bedroom doors open for a few hours each evening, to cool off the upstairs; the provided fan also helped.
The wi-fi connection is a bit limited; it works well on the deck but not elsewhere in the house. That was not a big issue since we enjoyed being out on the deck.

Stunning Stanley Property
The property and VRBO experience were excellent. We found the cabin very clean and well stocked. The setting was perfect for my fly fisherman husband with the creek outside the door. The interior of the cabin was decorated beautifully. I appreciated being able to contact the owner on a few occasions and she responded immediately. We were delighted to wake up to light snow in the morning along with the song of birds and Canadian Geese on the lawn. It doesn’t get any better than this!

The perfect home base to outdoor adventure
This home was perfect for our group of four adults, one toddler, and dog for the week. It was walking distance to town, the Salmon and Valley Creek river to fish, and only a few miles of driving to access a variety of trails for hiking and mountain biking, House was well appointed with everything you could possibly need. The outdoor patio and dining table was perfect to enjoy evening dinners and watch the sun go down. We'll definitely be back to Stanley and hope to rent this place again.

It is a well built home situated in a picturesque valley. Very responsive owner.
We had a great time sharing the beautiful guesthouse with our old friends from college. The kitchen is well stocked. The patio allows us to relax with stunning views. I love the bonus living area between upstairs bedrooms. With two crates set up downstairs for my dogs, we still have plenty space to enjoy cooking, eating, and chatting as a group.
Owner was super responsive to all my questions before the trip, and our requests after checkin were all quickly resolved from housekeeping.

Riverside eclipse 8/21/17
As in previous reviews, our accommodations were nice but it was very warm inside due to lack of opening windows. The owners did provide portable fans but it would be nice if they would install ceiling fans. We did bring a few extra people which made it even hotter inside. Also, the loft bedroom made you feel as if you were in the kitchen if anyone was awake before you. The McDonald's were very accommodating and friendly as their own house is attached to the guest house where we stayed. It would be nice to have a blender and electric hand mixer but we made due with what was available. The nearby foothills made it a spectacular viewing spot for the Great American Eclipse. Only complaint ( other then the fans) is that there are some electrical issues that weren't addressed as promised. No big deal in the grand scheme of things.we had a great time. Thanks Rain.
