About this apartment rental
Guests enjoy the downtown location, and close proximity to Hillsdale College. Everything is within walking distance!
Apartment 3 is located on the right side of house , which faces a fitness center/ gym and a dollar store. It has its own little porch and is our largest apartment. It has a nice sized kitchen with dining table and 4 chairs, a living room with a full sized futon bed, a separate bedroom with a full sized bed, a full bath with shower, and nice sized office with pub table and chairs (perfect for playing games, eating, etc). There is also a full desk with drawers and chair for a workspace in the office.
Located in the Heart of Hillsdale, set in a Pre Civil War building, nearly 200 years old, this apartment is a fusion of old and new influences. Furnished with antique, vintage and modern items.
Length of Stay Discounts available.
It is a self check in, keyless entry (room code is sent the night before check in). Check in is typically anytime after 4pm, and check out is by 11am. Owner Nancy and her assistant Rebekah both live nearby and can be reached via phone call or text if you need anything. You will find each of our team members (housekeeping included), whether it be in person or via phone, to be friendly and caring.
Formerly the home of Merton Fitzpatrick, one of the founders of the original Republican Party, the house has seen many generations of occupants and is being restored while still operating today. What once was a mansion, is now comprised of 8 full apartments, 6 of the 8 apartment units are reserved for guests. The other two house long time tenants who love and understand Old Houses.
We enjoy the eclectic decor (Which Nancy has collected when she goes antiquing) , and cozy "home away from home" feel this old house has. We hope that you will too!

I needed a comfortable place to stay for a few nights. My days were packed so it was really just a place to lay my head. I was pleasantly surprised with the accommodations. The unit had a completely functional kitchen and it was very clean. It’s an old building renovated into separate apartments, buts it’s very functional. Floors were uneven in places but that’s expected in such an old building. Bathroom was clean and there was great water pressure in the shower. I will stay here again.

The property is very conveniently located and affordable. Everything we needed was provided and the decor was enjoyably kitchy/historical.
We will come again.

Key code didn't work. Outside was VERY unkept.

Great cleaning job! Enjoyed the quiet neighborhood and just sorry I missed Nancy this time because she is always awesome.

We went to Michigan for my nieces nursing graduation and stayed at this little apartment. Very clean and accommodating. Would’ve had furniture placement different and made a bedroom out of the room next to the bathroom and the living room separate from my bedroom. But overall cute little place to rent, and I would rent it again if needed.

This is an okay place if your expectations are not set too high. It’s an old place with antique decor, a bit musty smell when you first arrive. But for the price I thought it was fine and easily accessible to the college.

This place was so nice! It’s definitely bigger than the pictures make it out to look. The kitchen was perfect for my boyfriend and I cooking together and sitting at the table was really nice. Great location, walking distance from all things in town

I drove by the place and wouldn’t have my worst enemy stay there.
No one ever contacted me on check in day. At least not until very late. After driving by I would NEVER stay there. I expect a full refund. Terrible service.

In the heart of town
I have stayed at the apartment building several times. Historic property with great character and walking distance to downtown shops and restaurants.

Great location, fantastic price, responsive hostess.
This is an older property that is being refurbished -- but it completely met our needs.

Friendly, comfortable, reasonably priced.

We stayed in Unit #3 and the place was very spotless. It is an older unit and feels much like staying in a museum. If you love older homes, you will love this place. The only con is the mattress on the bed. We found it hard to sleep as it is much too soft. However, this is the best bang for the buck and we were very happy with our stay. We will stay again.
