About this cottage rental
Mainbrace was built in the 1970's and renovated to the studs during the Summer of 2015.
It's a charming three bedroom, two bath beach cottage on a large property strewn with swaying coconut trees.
Located "one off the beach", Mainbrace sits behind the dune, so while you can't see the ocean from the house, you can hear it and feel the ocean's breezes. It is just a few short steps * to the nearest beach access and beach chairs and an umbrella are available for your use at the house.

Mainbrace's bedrooms are configured as such: The "master" queen has an en suite bathroom; the second queen and twin bedroom share the second bathroom. The kitchen is large and fully appointed. There are indoor and outdoor dining areas for 6 - 10 people. AC throughout as well as a whole home in-wall stereo system, cable, wi-fi, free long distance and security.
There is an outdoor shower, a gas grill...pretty much anything you need to make Mainbrace your home away from home.

My family and I had just the BEST stay at Mainbrace. All the comforts of home in a beautifully decorated, well designed space that’s clearly maintained with love. We went slightly off season and often had the stunning beach to ourselves. Being on the quieter end of the island was perfect for us and anything we needed was just a short golf cart ride away. Lovely owners and caretakers made this an easy and unforgettable stay!

Island did have issues with power outages while we were there (which is normal), and that cussed some issues with water/etc. other than that small hiccup not one thing to complain about. Had everything as were looking for

A lovely house in a quiet neighborhood but an easy golf cart ride to all the great restaurants and fun of Dunmore Town. Easy 5 minute walk to the most beautiful and quiet beach. The house has all the beach gear you could possibly need chairs, umbrellas, paddle boards, games even sunscreen. T

Our stay at Mainbrace is a vacation our family will always remember! The home was beautiful, had everything we needed for our family of 5, and the proximity to the beach was amazing! Our kids loved the yard and hammock. Clint and Neka were very helpful, and Trish provided so much helpful information before we arrived on the island. We are so grateful we got to spend our vacation in this beautiful home!

Me and my family had a wonderful time at Mainbrace. It was perfect for our family of 6 (including a 3 and 1 year old). The owner, Trish, and property managers, Neka and Clint, were fast responding to any communication or requests made (in advance or onsite).
Mainbrace was convienent to everything, especially the beach! The only thing we did not anticipate was losing power a few times during the week. It was never for long, but as the house doesn't have a generator we just need to plan for that in the future. We hope to be back soon!

My family and I travel to Harbour Island every year and we've finally found the perfect home that we'll always come back to. Trish has incredible taste and Mainbrace is impeccably designed, while still being extremely comfortable and inviting. The spacious living area and kitchen, 3 bedrooms, and huge front yard provided ample space for my husband and I, our two little boys, and my in-laws. Mainbrace is a 1 minute stroll to my favorite stretch of Pink Sands Beach which made beach days with the kids very easy. The house managers and Trish are both very responsive and even helped us stock the house with provisions prior to our arrival. We can't wait for our trip next year!

My family (3 adults, 3 kids ages 14,10 and 7) just returned from a glorious stay at Mainbrace, and are already dreaming of our return. The property is impeccable and well-equipped. It feels like a chic resort villa and a well-loved family residence all at the same time. Trish, Clint and Neka were kind and responsive to our needs during our stay. Clint saw us struggling to find a good coconut and dropped off three big juicy ones while we were out - so thoughtful! Pink Sand Beach is literally steps from the door and will take your breath away. To top it off, the beds at Mainbrace are divine! We all slept like babies. Be prepared for total relaxation in a fantastic location within the charming community of Harbour Island. Every part of our stay, including the booking process was easy, enjoyable and we could not have asked for a better experience. Trish was so great to work with, responsive, helpful and her island recommendations came in handy many times, enabling us to make the most of our trip. Mainbrace has everything we needed, the property is stunning, beautifully decorated, cozy, comfortable and perfectly located in a quiet area steps away from the spectacular pink sand beach that feels like a private beach. The housekeeping service was very much appreciated also (shout out to Clint for his kindness)! This is our second time staying at Mainbrace and we can’t imagine staying anywhere else on the island! The house was perfect for our small family and we love the chic island cottage vibe. It’s a beautifully decorated cottage that had everything we could need, Nespresso machine, beach towels and roadies, water toys, and more. Trish was so easy to work with and checked on us during our stay. We LOVE Mainbrace and only wish we could come more often!

Mainbrace is perfectly located in a quiet area walking distance to the beach and a short golf cart ride to the rest of the island. It is on the beautiful pink sands beach side of the island. Clean and beautifully decorated. Trish was very responsive and helpful. We did a day trip with Tyman Charters to swim with sea turtles, snorkel, and visit the swings. We had an amazing time and would stay again in a heartbeat!

We had an amazing experience at Mainbrace! We just spent the week there with our children and the house was perfect and so nicely decorated! So close to the beach and the yard was perfect for the kids to play in. The property owner and manager were both so accommodating and provided so many great recommendations. Everything was perfect. I’m sad it’s not available for our spring break next year as we would definitely rent it again!

We absolutely loved Mainbrace! It was so fabulous to be so close to the beach and to have the yard for the kids to roam and relax. The interior is thoughtfully laid out and exquisitely designed. The kitchen is really well appointed. We loved the shed full of beach gear as well. Trish was so easy to communicate with and lovely. We will be back!

Trish is a great hostess. The home is gorgeous and well-appointed with everything you will need for a beach vacation. The communication with her team was effortless when we had some snarls arriving to the island and they made sure we had what we needed to get the ground running once we finally arrived.

Mainbrace was everything I imagined. Steps from the beach. So close we did not need shoes!
The tropical yard is large. When we were not at beach we played hide and seek among the banana trees.
The house is beautifully decorated and the space very conducive for families.
Daily housekeeping by Anastacia was a treat!
Out family will definitely rebook Mainbrace for our next trip to Harbor Island.

So no words can really do justice to my stay at Mainbrace. Firstly I communicated with Trish months before my stay. My trip was a milestone in my life and Trish wanted to make sure my experience in her home was healing and everything that I hoped for and it was. I've been coming to HI for 20 years and always wanted to stay in Mainbrace. So many wonderful touches in her pristine home. Her decor pays homage to the rich history of the island. Every personal touch makes you feel at home. Her kitchen is well stocked in every way... personalized cups, notepads, towels for the beach and for the golf cart. She has an extraordinary speaker system set up and all platforms on her television. It is peaceful and warm. The bedrooms/bathrooms have lovely amenities. Ok... now to Anastacia who comes everyday to clean and make your stay effortless... she is conscientious and efficient and personable and sweet. She's a treasure. Make sure Clint fixes grouper fingers and Mac n cheese! For me, to wake up every morning... fix my french press coffee... be steps away from the beach and come home to Mainbrace... there was no greater happiness. Trish and her home are perfect.

I knew the property would be charming and beautiful because Trish has exquisite taste, but it was beyond my expectations. Every detail was wonderful - from little things like adorable kitchen ware and Matouk linens to the absolute perfect placement of the hammock to catch the breeze and hear the ocean waves. Trish was always available if we had any questions or concerns and she was so helpful with resources like where to rent a golf cart etc. What I love most about Harbour Island is that it is still authentically Bahamian. It has not been overrun with tourists or commercialism. Trish has incorporated that authentic Bahamian charm into her homes while adding modern conveniences and comforts. We will definitely be back!!

Our family loved Mainbrace!
Mainbrace was perfect for our family of four of parents and two adult children. It had great amenities, fully stocked with everything you would want or need for amazing beach vacation. Perfect location to enjoy Pink Sand beach yet quickly jaunt into town for dinners. Trish was very responsive and Neka helped prestock provisions before our arrival. We couldn’t love Trish’s property more. The house is beautifully decorated, super functional and right across the street from the beach. We especially loved the location - having a safe place in the yard for our daughter to play (swing, hammock, roosters!) and then everything you need to be quickly beachside. Amazing Beyond Expectations
We have rented several houses on Harbour Island over the years at Mainbrace exceeded them all. The house is perfect, very stylish yet comfortable. The owner is fantastic - communicating ahead of the trip regarding health visas and insightful island suggestions. The housekeeper was great - very polite, thorough and helpful - and she came everyday! The three bedrooms were all good size and had very high quality linens and towels. The bathrooms were very clean. The house comes with everything you would need and more. The kitchen and bar were perfect. The chairs/umbrellas/Yeti cooler and beach stuff was greatly appreciated and in good condition. And it is just a two minute walk over the dune to an uncrowded part of the beautiful beach. We also enjoyed dining on the outside table, using the outside shower and lounging on the comfortable outside seating. It is such a wonderful, relaxing, peaceful house - we highly recommend it.

We loved Harbour Island!
Such an amazing island with the most beautiful beaches we have ever seen. Location is good, just on “block” from the beach. We rented a golf cart to drive around on the island. The house is even better that on the pictures, and it is both cozy and stylish. Communication with the owner went very smoothly, and she even updated us with new travel restrictions to make sure we could get to Bahamas without any problems. Highly recommended this house.
