About this house rental
This is a charming cottage with detail and character. It has the feel of an older home made new. The high ceilings, hardwood floors, and wooden stairwell show its style and beauty, and yet it is very clean, bright, and welcoming. The kitchen has been updated in fall 2015 with new granite countertops and hardwood floors put in. The house is located off Maravista in a family-friendly area with children in the neighborhood. The beaches are very close by, less than four streets away. You can just barely see Martha's vineyard from one of the upstairs bedrooms, but from the beaches it seems so close it looks like you can reach out and touch it.
A little more on the area...: It would be a great house for one large family or two smaller families to spend a vacation. There is lots to do in Falmouth, and there are also the islands and other parts of Cape Cod to explore as well. The Falmouth town beaches alone keep us busy for a long time. Biking is a great way to explore the area and can carry you quite far on the islands, around Falmouth, and Woods Hole, for candy stores, ice cream, beaches, and more. Personally we find so much to do in Falmouth, Woods Hole, and Martha's Vineyard, we almost never drive to other parts of Cape Cod.

This was such a perfect spot to spend time with friends before our wedding! Loved being near the beach and plenty of space for all our guests. Thank you so much!

Such an easy walk to Falmouth Heights Beach and a 5 min drive to downtown, we loved the location of this house! The house itself was large and we comfortably fit 8 adults and 2 babies.
Thank you!

This was a perfect house for our recent holiday. It is a very comfortable home-away-from home with a well-stocked kitchen (new dishwasher and fridge), terrific backyard for BBQs, a large dining room, a separate TV room, gorgeous upstairs bathroom, and decent-sized bedrooms.
As a bonus, there is an AC unit on each floor (for the hot and muggy nights) and laundry in the basement.
The house is an easy, five minute walk to the beach and you can see Little Pond from the kitchen window. It’s in a quiet residential neighbourhood but only five minutes from downtown Falmouth.
The house and garden were immaculate and beautifully updated.
Thanks for a great week, Martha!

The house was very clean in great location. We were told to bring our own towels and sheets (not an issue), but there wasn't even a hand towel in the bathroom or tissues for the house. We've rented in the past and there have been hand towels, tissues, etc. supplied at least when we brought our own shower towels and linens.
Back door and front door had issues with locking (we eventually were able to get it out but front screen door was broken and wouldn't close all the way).
We had an issue with an alarm while we were there and we could not get in contact with owner. There was no second number to call in case of emergency. This should be supplied once you are at the house in case Martha is unavailable. We eventually heard back, and the nephew was aware of the beeping from previous renter (didn't know what it was, we figured it out for them), so in the future, warning the next renter would have been appreciated.
We also inquired about the exact number of beach chairs at the house (to know if we had to bring any with us) the week of our visit. Owner was out of town so I followed up 2 days before our trip as she told me she'd be home and we never got a message back after that. Luckily there were 4+ chairs, so it was not an issue, but would've been unhappy if there were not enough chairs when we asked with enough notice.
Overall, house was very clean, and great location, but with lack of communication for the price we paid, we won't rent here again.

We had a wonderful stay at Martha’s place in Falmouth, MA. The house was spacious, clean and comfortable for our family of five. We loved the location, just a two-minute walk from the beach and close to shops and restaurants. Martha was a great host, very responsive and helpful with everything we needed. She even left us a delicious bottle of wine as a welcome gift in the fridge. We would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing vacation on Cape Cod.

My friends and I had the most perfect weekend getaway at this house. Martha was extremely communicative and kind. While the weather wasn't what we hoped for, it did not matter as we were so happy with the home. It was clean, up to date, and so cute.
We are already talking about a trip back! The perfect cape rental.

A few friends and I were running the Cape Cod marathon and this was the perfect spot to have a home base, a short drive from downtown.
The house itself was very cozy with thoughtful touches, and provided warm blankets and full kitchen. Martha was very responsive to any requests or questions we had.
Would definitely consider staying again if we’re in the area.

The house had 5 bedrooms and 1 1/2 bathrooms which was perfect for our group of 5 older women. House was clean and communication between owner was easy. Bringing our own sheets and towels was a bit of an issue (due to our travel arrangements) but not a big deal. Walk to beach and one restaurant. Lots of sidewalks. Great town with friendly people and easy access by ferry to Martha's Vineyard.

Wonderful vacation! Martha was very responsive and worked so hard to get us in as early as possible to attend our nephew’s Saturday afternoon wedding. She helped arrange babysitting, and she and her family were so warm and welcoming that we felt at home right away! The cottage is lovely, comfortable and has a great yard with gorgeous flowers blooming everywhere! It’s a very short walk to a basically private, free beach which was great for the kids. All the bedrooms were comfortable but I would recommend maybe bringing fans for the upstairs as there are no ceiling fans. One of the upstairs bedrooms does have a/c, and there is also one in the dining room. Being from SC, I personally found it refreshing to have all the windows open as we’re closed up all summer, but some found it hot at night. The outdoor shower was fantastic and having laundry in the basement was super convenient as well. The cottage is in a great location; close to several beaches other than the little one at end of road as well as the ferries and lots of shopping and restaurants. It’s in a quiet, safe neighborhood that was great for walking and for my daughter’s sunrise runs. Overall, it was a perfect spot for our family vacation! Plenty of space for all of us to hang out, play games, and relax. The little sunroom with the television was also great for the kids to use as playroom. I highly recommend staying here, and if we can handle the drive again, I hope to return to this wonderful home for another great vacation!😎

Martha’s home was great! It was spacious, clean and comfy. The place had everything you needed aside from sheets and towels-but that was expected. It’s very very close to the beach which was a major plus. Martha and her family were right across the street and were very helpful.

A wonderful stay in a very welcoming neighborhood during incredible weather. SO close to the beach!
The property was perfect for our needs. Full of character, its obviously been lovingly used by many other likeminded folks.
Everyone agreed that the beds were super comfortable, although spreads and comforters could use a refresh. As required, we brought our own sheets and towels. We didnt use the washer or dryer, but it was nice to know it was available in the basement. The closeline out back was sufficient. Very nice up stairs bathroom. Water pressure was impressive. The Air conditioning in dining room took care of most of downstairs. The unit in 1 of the bedrooms upstairs was appreciated. We cant speak to how the other bedrooms fared, since we didnt use them. Living locally, some of us just visited for a day. Understandably, the sky lit sunroom could have been cooler, but even with the unseasonable heat during our June stay, it was workable using the ceiling fan in the next room which helped push in some cooler air.
The backyard gas bbq grill and picnic table were more than adequate. And the adirondack chairs out front were inviting and very much appreciated. We had ample driveway parking for 3 cars. There is plenty of table and chair seating both indoors and out. NO tv was a disappointment for us being a sports family, but we made do with a laptop and mobile phones. The Wi Fi was great. We had no issues other than a Celtics loss :(
We are familiar with the area and enjoyed visiting a few of our favorite places.. Betsey's Diner, Shipwrecked, Sam's Seafood, downtown, and of course, THE BEACHES :)

Great location with a lot of beds and responsive host. Come prepared, in addition to towels and sheets as indicated, to bring your own paper towels, garbage bags, hand/dish soap, and extra toilet paper if you use up the two provided.
Older home with old bones but a nicely updated bathroom.

We really enjoyed our stay at the cape in Teaticket.
It is a well maintained well equipped house true to the listing. It is a stones throw to Bristol beach and even shorter walk (~100yrds) to a pond for kayaking and paddle boarding. The area is well suited for exploring the Cape (Falmouth, Woods Hole esp).
Checkin was super easy as was check out. Communication with our host was easy and her extended family appears to live adjacent and across the street. Comfy beds, master suite has airconditioner. Cute backyard which is lit with stings of lights and has a good BBQ.
Loved it!

The house is beautifully maintained with tasteful decoration, beautiful back yard and front porch. It had an extra study room which could serve as another bedroom. The owner was gracious to offer us their neighboring back yard for our celebration which was amazing of them! Thank you for the great stay - will definitely come back!

We were in Falmouth for a wedding with our three adult sons and their dates, but we turned it into a weeklong vacation. Everyone loved the place—plenty of room for eight of us. Outdoor shower made getting bag ready easy and fun. We had beautiful weather with many trips to the beach and local French bakery, plus some bike riding, kayaking, and a trip to Martha’s Vineyard. Can’t wait to come back!

We last minute booked this rental for an end of the summer trip with our two daughters. We were very pleased with Marthas communication with us leading up to the trip and the cottage was as described! The location was wonderful, a short walk to Falmouth beach and quick 10 min drive to restaurants and shops. Marthas family was wonderful to have around in the surrounding homes on the dead end street, and we even used one of her daughters to babysit one evening while we went on a date night! The only thing that would have made our stay more comfortable was if the AC units were turned on prior to our arrival, and a few extra fans or units for the bedrooms as they got very hot! The kitchen could use some added inventory such as cereal/pasta bowls and a small handheld vacuum would be a great touch for the daily sand intake! Overall we had a wonderful stay in Falmouth!

Great stay! I would definitely stay here again. The house was very clean with a peaceful feel. Beds were very comfortable and there is a bright sweet sitting room. Lots of windows keep the place bright and nice decor. The beach is just a short walk down the road. Close to Falmouth, and ferries to Martha’s Vineyard and Nantucket. Owners were responsive and welcoming. Overall an excellent place to stay for a beach getaway at the cape
