About this house rental
After styling and art directing photo shoots for Rejuvenation Lighting and House Parts, finally being able to dial our own place was like playing in a sandbox. Joyfully styled bedrooms include queen, queen-sized sleeper in living room, and twin hide-a-bed in the study (that can be made into a queen). The kitchen is fully appointed with All-Clad, gas range, Cuisinart, blender and microwave. And, should you decide you don't feel like walking across the street for a cappuccino, we have both drip and Italian Biglietto coffeemakers. Then sip on the back deck in a quiet backyard. We love the art we have collected over the years and left much of it in the house for you to enjoy during your stay.

Lots of places within walking distance. Easy to find street parking. Nice central location.

It was nice to be in a local community of Portland - within walking distance there were some shops, breweries, coffee shops, and street parking. It was a relatively quiet neighborhood and less than 10 minutes to drive to all that downtown Portland has to offer.

This is a great little house in a great location in Portland. We stayed in a super heat wave in July, with our two kids, and were comfortable throughout and well looked-after by Don who set up fans to help keep us cool (there is AC but it was 102 degrees outside, thus warm on the second floor). There is no driveway or dedicated parking spot, however there is ample street parking around the block and it was not stressful to park. We were able to work remotely from the house easily, the wifi was solid. We cooked for the kids many nights, the kitchen is well-supplied. Overall it was just nice and homey and comfy. Location: you really can't beat it. Easy to get everywhere by car or bike and plenty of great places to eat within walking range, even on the same block. And Don will give plenty of great recommendations! We really enjoyed Portland and were lucky to have chosen this lovely spot and host.

This house has more character than the average vacation property. You feel like you're staying at a friend's house. Good location, in walking distance of many stores and restaurants. We would stay there again!

We had a wonderful time! Everything we needed was here. Loved the location and the house was immaculate! Will definitely stay here again!

We were visiting our daughter who lives nearby. The location was great with several restaurants and coffee shops nearby. There was also a small market a few blocks away. We had our small dog with us and the walkability of the neighborhood as well as the yard were perfect! We enjoyed sitting on the front porch in the evening - great people watching. The kitchen was very well stocked.

Thank you for sharing your wonderful home with us! It made for such a special time! You were both incredibly gracious, attentive, and thoughtful hosts. We can't wait to return.

The house is very cute and in a great neighborhood. Beds & pillows were very comfortable. Check in and check out easy. I think a house manual would have been helpful. We are tech savvy but the tv was difficult for all of us to figured out. We couldn’t find dish towels. We ate out but still had a few dishes to wash up after coffee or snacks. I didn’t want to run the dishwasher for a few cups or glasses, so ended up using paper towels. Definitely would stay here again.

We absolutely loved our stay at this beautiful house in Portland! It’s located in a wonderful neighborhood on a safe street with lots of safe street parking. The house was surrounded by restaurants, shops and a grocery market that was local, fresh and had an extensive prepared food and cafe section as well. ( We got delivery from it too!) The house was so easy to check in and out of. It was spotless, so comfortable and had a fully stocked kitchen. The kitchen was spacious and had a large, clean dining table. The bedding was very comfortable and there was extensive room in the closets and dressers for all our clothes (and in our case, for our athletic equipment). We came to town for a week for a national sports tournament at the convention center and the street was quiet for getting a great sleep every night. The neighborhood is very respectful with noise. The convention center was only an 8 minute drive and PDX was 17 minutes away. We also brought our tiny dog and he was so cozy and happy. There’s a good sized, nicely maintained yard that is fully fenced. The host (Don) was responsive, kind and welcoming. We felt so lucky to find such a lovely place and I’m convinced that my tweens did so well at the tournament because they were rested and relaxed at this house. Thank you so much! We will be back!

Thanks Don and Nicole for letting us stay in your beautiful house. We love that it is nicely decorated, and with all the books to indulge in. It is very spacious for our family of eight, and thanks for getting the new couch to accommodate our children.

A group of friends met up in Portland to attend the Grizzlies vs Trailblazers! The neighborhood was clean and safe, parking was easy, and close to good restaurants and a short uber to most places we wanted to visit. The house itself had everything we needed and the rooms were spacious! Would stay here again!!

The house was well equipped with many great bakeries and restaurants near by. Don was very responsive and gave us lots of recommendations.

I'll first start with Don was amazing to work with. He was communicative, caring, and ensured that our group would be well taken care of. It makes such a difference when the owner/property manager goes above and beyond, and I can truly say this was a wonderful way to start off our group trip!
The location is phenomenal. It's directly on Williams and walkable to anything and everything the neighborhodd as to offer including bars, restaurants, New Seasons, coffee, etc. etc. It's also a hop, skip, and a jump to Mississippi where we spent most of day 2. While Williams is a busier street, there is plenty of parking a block over.
The house itself is charming. We spent quite a bit of time hanging out on the front porch and just people watching and catching up. The house has a lot of character and also has a very nice backyard. It was clean, there is A/C (which was a requirement by our group), and it is well maintained.
We had a great experience from start to finish and we would not just recommend this property but we would stay here again in an instant!

Nice updated house on a slightly busy street but very convenient to lots of restaurants, coffee shops ands bars. Much quieter area than other popular parts of Portland. Nice kitchen, living area and bedrooms.
5.0
We really enjoyed our stay at Don's place. Very nicely appointed, and it was great to have the washer/dryer available. Nice big kitchen table, which was appreciated not only for meals, but the many board games we play. Comfortable beds. Our only suggestion is it would be safer to have some sort of rail on the stairs going upstairs to the bedrooms; that turn around the corner was difficult for us seniors without one.

Perfect Stay for the NCAAs
There were three of us in town for the NCAA basketball tournament. Easy public transportation to Moda Center. Home is in a great location to explore the Williams, Mississippi, and Alberta districts. A very comfortable home and easy communication with Don. Would definitely stay again the next time in Portland.

Perfect for couples or small family
My husband and I have stayed here a handful of times. We’ve brought our adult children or our grandchildren. There’s plenty of space. The neighborhood is condusive to going out for meals yet there’s a grocery a short walk away. There’s a front porch with chairs, to watch the world walk by and a back deck for BBQ. The home has many artistic touches and one of a kind pieces. Owners are available for questions but are not intrusive. A perfect home away from home.

Choice Spot!
Everything I was hoping for in a Portland home-base I found in this perfect spot. Great communication with hosts, very accurate description and photos, comfortable, warm and great NE location. I couldn't have asked for a more perfect home for my getaway week. Oh, and did I mention the cozy front and back porches to enjoy outside visiting?! Terrific.
