I did not know there was breakfast actually.
The place is very tired. Garden beds were scraggly. Shower tile was old. Shower head was funky.
Very old dated furniture.
But it really was comfy and spotlessly clean. I felt very safe.
Internet did not work the first night but the staff sorted it out on day 2.
The management was lovely. The location was so great. I would potentially stay there again but I would shop around.
4.1
The comfort of the bed & pillows, new plush towels, size of room, amenities, patio area, pool (even though we didn’t use it), ice maker. Very cute retro mid-century style.
Uneven pavement.
4.1
The property is great, very cozy vibes and I really liked the fact they had a big mini fridge and all the set up for guests to make a cheese plate, I would definitely stay there again
We were there during a pretty warm weekend for Carmel and there was no A/C in the room, but if you're not going during the warm months, it shouldn't be a problem, we left the window open and we're able to sleep
4.1
Ease of access.
At the time of the check-in, even though we knocked at the door and there was someone inside, he didn't bother to open the door. Then another person came from the outside and let us in. This checking-in room was filthy!! The room we stayed in was clean but first impressions matter.
4.1
It is in Carmel Valley Village, close to good restaurants and wineries.
The whole property is old and rundown. the patio hadn’t been swept in weeks, sawdust from construction, empty water bottles. The kitchenette is a joke, no pans, only plastic forks and spoons. Very weird room layout, not welcoming at all. Had guys right at 10 at night outside our window at the head of the bed cleaning up construction tools making all sorts of noise and talking. The pool water was disgusting looking.
4.1
parking, fridge and coffee available
old windows, back door found open even if we tried to lock it from the inside, hair drier was given upon request
4.1
Clean comfortable room with kitchen and living area. Nice patio. Staff was very welcoming and helpful. Great location to see Big Sur
4.1
Excellent location. Spacious suite. Attentive owner.
Mattress was too soft.
4.1
Location was well placed and the room was private with convenient free parking. Really high quality and clean linens.
The appliances were out of date by a half century and the staff were never in office.
4.1
I really enjoyed the location, the clean and compfy room, the TV options and convenient check in/out process.
4.1
its clean room, with a nice comfortable king sized bed. The bathroom shower area is pretty large too. they also have a coffee machine (kuerig type) with tons of coffee choices to select from.
The toilet (ie the 'can') is right by the sink so it can be a bit cramped to use. Also there was a wierd smell wafting in the morning..kinda like sewage..not sure what was going on there. it wasnt overpowering though so I could tolerate it.
4.1
There was free wi-fi and a mini fridge, as well as provided hand and body soap and an easy check-in and check-out process.
For a time, the Wi-Fi strength was good, full bars, but would hardly load anything at all. At some point, it restarted and it was significantly better after. I should’ve asked someone about it, but I didn’t and it resolved itself.
The walls may be thinner than you think! I could hear the next person over snoring pretty clearly.
It is generally temperate and pleasant in the bay, so I can’t fault them for this at all, but it’s worth noting for those with frigid tastes: there is no AC, only a heater.

There was no breakfast - but there were a couple of great restaurants nearby that you could walk to. The location is excellent if you need to be in Carmel Valley. Good wi-fi and internet. The bed was comfortable.
The lighting is poor. There's just one overhead light in the living room/kitchen. The bedroom was okay with reading lamps by both sides of the bed.
4.1
Neat as a pin, good space and perfect location for tasting rooms
No breakfast option in the area

There is no substitute for personal service. The owners of this charming motel were totally responsive when we had an issue with a neighboring guest and handled the situation with care. While these noisy guests made for a difficult evening, the owners took the problem seriously and dealt with it.
The room was very comfortable, the location was perfect, the owners were helpful, and the second night was totally peaceful and quiet.
The noisy, inconsiderate guests in the room next to us.

Bed was very good
Only mirror was in the bathroom. Made it difficult to dress.

We liked that though the rooms were old , they were very clean. Location was super close to a lot of restaurants and stuff to do.
I called the facility several times prior to our arrival and no one answered or called me back. It was noisy at nite past 9pm. Also everything is old for the price.

great location and beautiful area. it’s a nice little place for a couple. Bed was very comfortable and shower worked perfectly. complimentary coffee was a plus. Free parking; many stores and restaurants are near by.
Refrigerator and freezer needs to be colder.

We liked the location and lodge look
All good

The bed was comfortable and the pillows were like clouds. The towels are fluffy and soft.
The place is a little dated but suitable
4.1
Very homey & wonderful hostess. Extremely accommodating. Quiet , accessible, & very near wine tasting, restaurants, etc. Very reasonably priced.
It’s just a bit dated in decor but overall fine. Mattress needs to be upgraded (way too soft/no back support).

It was at a hood location, we liked that there was a kitchen, heater, hot water, nice coffee and thick walls so we couldn’t hear our neighbors. Felt very clean! Office staff was very kind and helpful as well.
There is an oven, but no oven mitts! we had to use the towels to take pans out. if you plan to use the kitchen, COME PREPARED! No oil, no salt or pepper, plastic silverware and styrofoam plates you can’t microwave. The fridge was not cold enough and there was a puddle of water at the bottom of it. No brooms and no extra trash bags in the room for us to keep tidy. There are not many amenities places like this usually have, so keep that in mind if you plan to prepare your own meals there.

The location was excellent. Scenery was calming and breathtaking and the room was cozy, quaint and felt like a home away from home. I was within 20 minutes drive to Carmel, Point Lobos Reserve and Garrapata State Park. I will definitely stay here again when I am looking for another getaway in the area.
I do not have any complaints.

Room / Suite: it was clean and huge! Suite's kitchen was well equipped. At night it was very quiet
Location: perfect location on the way to Big Sur and also close to Carmel (but much cheaper)
Staff: very welcoming and responsive!
Room / Suite: it was cold when I arrived. There is a heater (or a fan for the hot season). It warmed up the room quite quickly
4.1
Great location. Perfect getaway with conveniences of home.
