We had a lovely trip and enjoyed the stay at Shepherds View

A short walk from the main drag, this house was comfortable and clean, perfect for a group attending an event.

The red bin was full, and the bottles in the recycle bin looked very dusty, perhaps the last bin day was missed? (or the last group made loads of rubbish)

Amazing short stay!

A well maintained property in an amazing location within walking distance to the main areas of Lake Tekapo. Staff at Discover Tekapo were helpful and friendly. Would recommend this property to anyone!

A super comfortable and relaxing stay for a family🌟

⭐️ Location: 10 out of 10! Wonderful scenery and super convenient! During the day, we can see the lake and the mountains from the balcony; at night, we can see a sky full of stars and the Milky Way without much light pollution; in addition, it is close to the intercity bus stop, the supermarket, Lake Tekapo Petting Zoo, Petronella’s Gallery and Bookstore, Discover Tekapo Accommodation Office, restaurants, and of course, Lake Tekapo and the Church of the Good Shepherd. ⭐️The windows and the brightness of the house: 100 out of 10!! The house was so bright and breezy when the windows are opened during daytime that we didn’t need to turn on any light and air conditioning at all. ⭐️The air conditioner: 10 out of 10! The air conditioning system functioned perfectly well, it can reach the perfect temperature in a short period of time, giving the house warmth on freezing cold nights, and cool air on super hot and sunny days. ⭐️The number of bedrooms: Each of my family members get to have their own room, which is awesome! ⭐️The price: Reasonable! Thank you so much! 🥰

🔸Some of the facilities didn’t work very well, such as most of the buttons on the microwave, and two of the burners of the stove. In addition, the door of the shared toilet was missing a lock. 🔸Some of the items in the property were not very clean, such as the dish drying rack, the sponges in the kitchen, and one of the blankets in the bedroom with bunk beds.

A hidden gem in Tekapo!!

We had a great stay at Shepherd's view. Pictures don't do justice...the place was very clean and convenient. The host had thought of everything you could possibly need for a comfortable stay. The beds were also comfortable. The deck was great and we even got to stargaze and see the milky way from the deck...just amazing!! Our interactions with the discover tekapo team were seamless and very prompt. Highly recommend the team and the place:) Thanks Discover Tekapo for a wonderful accommodation.

I wish that we could have stayed for longer. I could live there!

The reception was staffed with very friendly and helpful people who know the area well. Shepherd's View was a great house with plenty of room and a good view of the lake. It was also a short walk down to the village for shopping or visiting the lake. The area has great restaurants and cafe's and is close to the hot springs.

Exceptional

Host provided clear instruction where and when to collect the key. Easy and fuzz free. House is conveniently located (around 5 mins walk to town centre). Everything is clean, beds are comfortable, rooms are spacious, and it has all amenities required. Bonus point: it has big verandah and backyard where we enjoyed our meals with view of Lake Tekapo and mountains. Stargazing could be seen from verandah at night, so you don't have to travel out to somewhere dark.

Best holiday home.

Superbly equipped kitchen with both a Nespresso machine and a regular espresso machine. Great rooms with electric blankets to keep you warm and cosy at night. Great for extended family traveling together. The location is excellent with views of the lake and mountains and a great deck to view the stars
