About this cottage rental
The best sunsets in all of Sandbridge! 180+ degree bay views! After a long day of fun in the sun at Sandbridge Beach you can kick back, relax and take in the spectacular sunsets from your private deck directly on the Back Bay. This welcoming waterfront RV cottage is located in Surfside at Sandbridge, the resort entrance is just two blocks from the Atlantic Ocean for easy access to Sandbridge’s beautiful beach. Escape to your own private retreat to experience relaxation, connection and adventure.
We have tried to think of everything you need to enjoy the perfect beach getaway. This cottage is the perfect home base whether you are seeking a quiet relaxing escape or something more adventurous. The expansive covered porch on this home with ample patio furniture provides endless opportunities to take in the breathtaking sunsets and abundant wildlife on the Back Bay. We also have lounge chairs for relaxing and sunbathing next to the bay or you can play a game of cornhole while soaking up the views. You are welcome to use our beach chairs, umbrella and boogie boards for your beach time. If you are feeling adventurous, we have two single person kayaks available for exploring the bay (swim or boat at your own risk). In addition, the gated Surfside complex provides two outdoor pools, a sauna, playground, fitness room, tennis/pickleball courts, basketball court, and boat ramp for you to enjoy during your stay. You can also bring your bicycles or rent them locally and bike in the Back Bay National Wildlife Refuge and False Cape State Park. If you choose to spend some time indoors, we invite you to enjoy the electric fireplace, the 2 flat screen televisions with cable TV, WiFi, a Playstation with assorted games, and a selection of board games, books and movies.
To ensure that you enjoy a restful vacation, there is a private master bedroom with a queen sized bed with a new mattress. This home also has a twin day bed with twin size trundle bed with memory foam mattresses, washer, dryer, gas grill, an efficiency kitchen (including dishwasher and other typical appliances and housewares), and a private bathroom with standard plumbing fixtures (not RV or camper style). We provide a Ninja Foodie air fryer oven, convection microwave, and gas cooktop (but no traditional oven). No smoking is allowed. Pets are generally welcome (subject to prior approval and payment of a pet fee).
Although only a 15 mile drive from the bustling Virginia Beach Oceanfront, the Sandbridge Beach community feels like a world away with its low key, uncrowded beaches, serene bay views, and close proximity to miles of undeveloped, protected shoreline for you to explore. There are no hotels in Sandbridge, only private residences.
Although you could bike or walk to the beach, there is free on-street parking near the many public beach access points and this home is located near Little Island Park which provides parking, bathhouses, playground, and a fishing pier for your beach outing. The resort is two blocks from the Atlantic Ocean, and this home is located near the back of the resort to provide you additional privacy and unobstructed Back Bay views.
Perfect for couples, small groups and families, this custom built 1 bedroom, 1 bath RV home sleeps up to 4 guests and provides an incredible vacation value when compared to Virginia Beach oceanfront hotels or larger Sandbridge rental homes. In addition, unlike other beach rentals that impose a substantial additional fee, we provide clean linens and towels for your use at no additional charge.
Please be aware that this is a park model RV, so our cottage is best for small groups as it is cozy. Also, we are located in a gated RV resort. The other lots in the resort are privately owned and are occupied by other recreational vehicles.
Due to the seasonal nature of rentals and the need to monitor our property when it is unoccupied, we have an exterior doorbell camera and an exterior camera facing the parking area. We have no interior cameras. We respect our guests privacy, but took this measure to ensure we can safeguard our property.
Please contact us with any additional questions, we love Sandbridge and our cottage and hope you will consider staying with us for your Sandbridge getaway.
(Please note - due to storm damage the dock will remain closed to guest use during the Spring/Summer 2024 rental season. Guests can still launch kayaks, fish, etc from the yard/bulkhead and enjoy the beautiful bay views.)

Perfect property with beautiful views. Kayaks for getting out on the water were a nice touch. Would have like to been able to fish from back yard but water is very grassy from bullhead but full of minnows for bait. Great location.

This was one of the most memorable getaways I have had in a long time. The accommodations were clean and the location perfect! We biked to Back Bay, enjoyed kayaking on the bay and enjoyed lazy days on the beach. Then came home to enjoy a cozy home on the bay. My wife and I will have fond memories of this place and hopefully will be back.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The home was just right and cozy for the 2 of us and our 2 dogs. The kitchen was well stocked and the furniture was comfortable. We loved the covered porch and ate all of our meals outside enjoying the amazing view. Sunsets were spectacular on the bay! The neighborhood was quiet with friendly people and the ocean was within walking distance. Check-in was so easy and communication with host was exceptional. Thank you for sharing your lovely home with us, we hope to return soon.

We were very pleased with everything that was a part of the stay, while there were some issues that were not under the owners control with regard to paving interrupting our stay, she was very gracious about that and we really found a nice way to spend a long weekend

My husband, Labrador, and I had a lovely week in Sandbridge. The cottage was perfect for the three of us. The beach isn’t as busy this time of year, which was what we were looking for, but the neighbors we met were lovely. Christina was very responsive and helped us prepare to weather tropical storm Ophelia. When the weather was nice, we enjoyed sunsets on the porch, overlooking the bay, and long walks on the beach at sunrise. When we had to stay in, out of the storm, we were cozy and happy. We highly recommend staying here and hope to return in the future.

My first impression was, “what a great view of the back bay & I could not wait to see the fabulous sunset from the back porch.” Three of us found the beds were quite comfy and the space was perfect for three adults. We used the stovetop to cook breakfast & dinner was ez on the grill. We had a great experience. Quick & convenient drive to the beach- we used their beach chairs & umbrella which saved space in our car from bringing them from home.
I wish I brought hand soap since there was non in the place BUT we made it work!!
Great long weekend getaway…

This was our first time staying in Sandbridge, and it was a very lovely beach area. It was also our first time staying in an RV, and though it went well, do not think I would do it again. For two adults and two teens, quarters were tight! I think it is perfect for a couple, or with up to two younger kids.
The RV is located right on the Bay, with a wrap around porch, which was lovely for sunsets and eating. Beautiful view. Overall the RV was nice. Everything you need (except we could not find a grater). The trundle bed was comfortable. The fridge was large enough to hold all our food. Shower worked better than expected.
The RV is approximately a mile from the beach, so we drove, but had no issue with parking. They were light on providing bath towels, so recommend bringing extras of your own.

The house itself was fine and should be listed as a tiny house. The furniture was very uncomfortable in the living room and would be nice with a L shaped couch. The BBQ grill should also be upgraded. The view of the water was great. The wind driven tide was crazy heigh and was flooding everywhere and the did not make the stay enjoyable. Thanks so much

My nieces and I enjoyed the pools, beach, shopping, and food options. We loved the trex deck that wrapped around the trailer and the convenience of the keyless lock. Comfortable bed. Good sized bedroom with storage and a non-trailer bathroom. The park was quiet at night. Neighbors were friendly.

Everything was wonderful from arriving throughout our stay and leaving. The back deck was great for sunsets and just listening to water lapping. All the people in the complex were very friendly. We really enjoyed our stay and hope to return.

We had such a wonderful stay at the our little resort home. It was very clean and everything pertaining to the property was explained well for easy access and care while we were there. The bed was comfortable and the linens were crisp and clean. The house had just about anything you could need in every area of the house. Plenty of kitchen utensils for cooking, eating in, and there were tons of bathroom amenities provided as well. We loved sitting out on the porch in the morning to enjoy the peaceful serenity of the bay. We were surrounded by other homes, but it felt very private still.
The only difference we noted from the property description was the kayak. A two-seater was not available. They did have two separate kayaks, but only one paddle. This didn’t end up being a big deal because the day we planned on kayaking, the weather was not great so we didn’t go out. But I think it would be good to update the description for future visitors.
Other than that, it was everything we had hoped for and more!

Nice property great location. Dock needs repair but that was known going in. Ran into an issue on the last day and the owner was gracious and very cooperative. No problem with communications with local manager or the owner.

My son, his wife, and I were very happy in the unit. The daybed was way more comfortable than I had expected! We loved the back deck - spent most of our time sitting out there enjoying the breeze and watching the water. We also ate out there. The RV park is very well maintained - walking my dog around the grounds was a pleasure. Our location was just the best! It was also nice to have several good dining options nearby. We especially enjoyed watching the sunset while eating dinner at Baja which was within walking distance. Everything we needed (paper goods, kitchen supplies) was available - although we did bring paper goods. The unit was attractive and comfortable. just a mention - the outdoor furniture and the bar stools were not as pictured in the listing and were not as comfortable as the others looked. Overall we had a wonderful stay and would love to return next year.

Our stay in Sandbridge at the RV resort was perfect.
The RV was as advertised: comfortable and perfectly situated on the Back Bay with a gorgeous view from the back porch,
this was our favorite part of our trip.
We didn't go to the beach during the day but rather enjoyed the small back yard with access to the bay, cold drinks, and our doggies swimming in the bay with us!
and the ice cream truck came thru every afternoon!!
we left the resort only to get early morning donuts and a quiet walk on the beach before the crowds arrived.
Beautiful, quiet, serene, amazing sunsets!

My family and I really enjoyed our stay at the camper. Easy access to the bay for cruises on the kayaks, walking distance to the pool, and short distance to the beach. Had a wonderful stay and loved the campground community and the amazing water view from the camper.

RV resort was very nice; well maintained, and convenient to the beach. Sandbridge is a very quiet beach; there’s no action if that’s what you are looking for. There is a small grocery store that is very very expensive. Recommend you grocery shop on the way in. Two pints of Ben and Jerry’s was over $14.
The cottage is perfect for two adults, comfortable, and situated at the far end of the resort so there is no drive by traffic. The kitchen has everything and more than two people need, except a blender. The porch was our dining room. There is not a large enough place for two to eat inside. Not a big deal for us. The dishwasher was great! There are plenty of drawers and enough closet space so you don’t have to live out of a suitcase. A few toiletries are provided along with a small supply of toilet paper.
The managers are very helpful and quick to respond.

The pics looked much better than actually place. We had a great time and very relaxing week at this place. I would give it 5 stars if the place could be more cleaner. I understand the place surrounding by the water, you can’t avoid outside spiders around, but at least inside you can avoid spiders webs n spiders by cleaning. We enjoyed very much sitting on the deck, but by sun down, all spiders started coming out, and forced us had to go inside. The ceiling fan in the bedroom, looks like going to fall anytime. The two kayaks were falling apart, one of the back support was missing. On the sheet it said the resort has outdoor hot tub, but we couldn’t locate anywhere. Overall, the place is good but over priced, we won’t rent the same trailer again, we will definitely take our RV next time and just rent a spot.

Perfect Back Bay retreat
Location is ideal and owner and manager did a great job at communicating and making the property feel like home for a week. Great size for our family of three. We loved Surfside and proximity to the beach. Thanks for a wonderful week!

Little Gem in Sandbridge
This place is awesome! For three people it was absolutely perfect. We’ve stayed several places in Surfside and this one is our favorite by far. It was super duper clean, the furniture is really comfortable, it’s nicely updated, and the amenities are a huge bonus. Both Christina and Karen are responsive and helpful. We will definitely be back!!!

Most Highly Recommend this rental
2 thumbs up! The rental was everything the listing said. I could have stayed there much longer. The manager responded promptly to my texts messages and made for a smooth check-in. The location, right on the water with a wraparound porch to relax on and watch the bay, even with storms rolling through, was just what I needed to unwind after a long day. With the large overhang we were out of the weather. I would definitely recommend this listing to anyone looking for an enjoyable stay in the Virginia Beach area.

Christmas Vacation
This is our second Christmas vacation at this property and we hope to return next year as well. The location is perfect proximity to friends, family and local amenities, plus we love the view and the daily sunsets. The RV is very cozy, clean and comfortable and we only have two comments for improvement. Please replace the shower head. It's position is terrible and every time we turned it on the water spurted all over the wood floor. When we tried to reposition it the water spurted on the side wall of the shower and we were unable to stand under it to get a proper shower. The other issue was the horrible TV reception, especially in the bedroom.
A big shout out to your local representative. She was so responsive and helpful! Thank you so very much for another wonderful stay.

Nice Place
Small, but comfortable. Really nice location right on Back Bay. Easy 3/4 mile walk to a beautiful beach. Only a few miles from the Back Bay National Wildlife Refuge. Wish we had brought our bikes. Would have been great to bike in the BB NWR.
