Things to Know
The community pool is open annually from the beginning of June to the end of August for guest use. Pool dates are weather permitting and at the Condo Association's discretion.
The Sanctuary HOA schedules structural upkeep during the off-season, blocking off certain sides of the buildings, making it unsafe for our guests to be on the balcony. The balcony may not be available for guests from October to mid-May.
This property is managed by Vacasa Virginia LLC.
Parking notes: There is free parking available for 2 vehicles.
Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.
More information can be downloaded from the "Rental Agreement" on the checkout page.
Due to local laws or HOA requirements, guests must be at least 25 years of age to book. Guests under 25 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian for the duration of the reservation.

Our family loves the sanctuary ! This is our 4th year !!! Quiet and relaxing with amazing views!
4.3
It has a beautiful beach view. Quick ride into the elevator. You step off the elevator and you are at your door. The locals were very friendly.
4.3
The view and the close accessibility to the beach are wonderful. We loved seeing the dolphins swimming from our balcony. You are right on the beach when you step out of the building. Some updating to the condo would make it the ultimate stay.
4.3
Great condo size and value for the money. Beautiful view of the ocean!

This was a very nice place. Spacious, clean and well-kept. I would recommend that the remote controls in the rooms be clearly labeled.

Wonderful place
Beautiful area

Nice beach front condo with everything we needed. The unit was mostly clean, though there were towels left from a previous guest in the laundry room. Other than that, nothing seemed out of place. We had a good stay overall.

Comfortable easy short vacation !

Holy Moly the view on this condo is unreal!! There are two patio's- one for the main living and one off the Master Bedroom.
The condo itself is a little 'run down'- just because the carpet is pretty weathered, cleaning is not super detailed but it makes it feel more lived in so we did not mind at all.
The Text communication with Vacasa was AMAZING!! We could not figure out if we were at the right condo because it says "205A" and the door and all signs say just 205 but they answer almost immediately with the text.
I also did not have the code for the workout room (which was so clean and wonderful) and the maintenance guy was in the area and gave it right to me.
There is a Jose Tequila's Restaurant right on the property which has great food and wonderful staff plus there is a really nice beach type fancy-ish restaurant across the street (Baja) that was soooo good!
I am planning on bringing friends back and staying for a girls week because we loved it that much! Wish we did not have to go- thank you so much for such a great week :)

Towels, bath mats, hand towels, wash clothes all missing upon check in but late that night they did deliver a sack of linens. They never did deliver any spare toilet paper for the three bathrooms, many of the plugs were worn out and devices would fall out of plug during the night when trying to charge. Elevator outside our door was not working but did get repaired before leaving. Frig in kitchen has broken shelf on door and veggie drawers were unstable . Some skillets need to be retired the coating came on in food and mixer in kitchen did not work. Carpet in queen bedroom closet is away from the wall. It was clean and nice for a family get together but needs a little love and care
Check in and out was easy but a few things they don’t provide needs to be listed so you can be prepared for your stay

This condo had exactly what we needed. Oceanfront balconies. 3 large bedrooms and bathrooms and a huge living space. The pools were perfect for late afternoon beach recovery.
4.3
Property was in greal location and spacious.
Need to make luggage carts available.
Inconvenient that elevator was broke for 2 days especially on day of checkout.

Check in was quite easy, the furniture and amenities were excellent, the location to the beach was perfect, and everything was great.

We love it only thing is master bed not too comfortable.

Property was well maintained and peaceful!

A quick stay proved to be just what the dr ordered! I appreciated all the prompt responses to my many questions and endless calls. Super organizational skills and wonderful hospitality. The home was pleasant and comfy. Magnificent views!

This condo was roomy and had all of the essentials. The location and balconies were great! The biggest issues we had were the poor condition of the mattress in the master bedroom (its springs had definitely sprung), dirty dishes in the cabinets/drawers upon arrival, and the wifi was out more than on (more of an issue for our teenagers). Overall a nice place, just expected a premium experience for a premium price.
4.3
The sunrise view is excellent. We also saw many dolphins.

We had a nice time. The condo was clean, in a great location and had all the essentials you need. We went in the off season and they had a Christmas tree which was nice. We just had some issues with the keys, WiFi and being able to get into locations that were frustrating. With it being off season, there was no one around to help. The customer service on the phone was nice but sometimes it took awhile and some of the issues we had would have been nice to be able to speak to someone in person.

Loved the home

Very clean and supplies already available - trash bags, soap, toilet paper, paper towels, etc.. Amazing view of the beach and very easy to access the condo from the elevator. Would definitely book this condo again.

This is a wonderful beach front property. We enjoyed it every minute!

Firstly, we enjoyed our time at the beach initial snafus aside. Also, this is it first time in the VA beach area. Didn’t realize that Sandbridge was a good 30 min from any of the places we ended up going to for fun and dining. There were 2 restaurants right by the condo unit. The Mexican place was great! Fast service. Lots of staff. Great food. The place across the street was severely under staffed. They seem to have Inventory issues with their menu. The wait staff were high schoolers, and poorly trained.
In any case, about the condo. Once it was finally cleaned, you can see that it desperately needed some refreshing. New carpeting and a new couch to start. Kitchen was poorly stocked. Didn’t even have a wine bottle opener.
Now, the checking in debacle. The place was no cleaned by 4pm. We went by the office to pick up the key card and sign in package and no one thought to say that the condo will not be ready for another 4 hours. The front desk lady just said it might be another 30 min and this is at 4pm. She also promised to call me with an update if she hears otherwise. No call. Get there at 4:30pm and the place has not been touched. Also, I’m traveling with my family of four which includes 2 toddlers and elderly parents in laws who drove from NC. At this point, I start calling. Can’t get anyone at the office, so I call the VACASA CS line. (Which takes a while to get to a line person. Oh! Bonus! There is no cell service in the condo and outdated cell service in all of Sandbridge! No 5G. And WiFi was not working. Debacle of debacles! I finally get a line person, who was really nice and tried to solve my problem. She finally gets a hold of housekeeping and the Lead Housekeeper said that it will be another 2 horse at least. (this is 5:30 p.m. now) needless to say I was not happy. The lead housekeeper was very nice and professional and explained that they were understaffed and told the property management group that cleaning would be delayed. I let her know that we went by the office and they said 30 more min and there was no follow up call. In any case, we went to Mexican restaurant and waited it out. The housekeepers did clean and we were in by about 7:30pmish.
Needless to say, we probably will not be staying here again. If we go back to VA beach, we would probably look for something that is VA beach proper.
Lastly, if you have an EV, closest public chargers are about 30 min away. However, once out there were several great restaurants and brewery that have free charges!

Check in was easy. We really enjoyed it here. Our room was fully stocked and was in a great location. The carpet and the couch were worn, but other than that, the place was great.
We loved the easy beach and pool access.
Great place!

We had an enjoyable family vacation at the Sandcastle Resort. The property was tidy and spacious, however the master bedroom we found to be in dire need of a new mattress. We were disappointed that all the pools weren't open and while we had been alerted that having your parking pass on display was a NECESSITY we had not been made aware that if your tire was parked on a line your vehicle would be towed with no warning. Our son in law's vehicle had one of the tires barely touching a line and was towed to a location about 20 minutes away and charged $145. Being oceanfront was a huge plus and in spite of these issues we made the best of it and had an enjoyable stay.

Our group had a great time! The location is amazing and so great to be right on the beach. The condo itself is just as pictured, but the amenities advertised (and frankly what I thought justified the price of the rental) were not even available to us. The listing states the pools with the swim up bar (big attraction for my group) would be open mid-May… we left on 5/28 and the pool was still not open - along with the on site bar and restaurant. There is no management on site so when we were locked out of our condo we had to call the 1-800 number and wait for a maintenance person to happen upon us. Otherwise we had a great trip and will likely book again, but within the season we “know” all the pools, grills, etc they advertise heavily in the listing will be guaranteed to be open.
