About this house rental
The nitty gritty: rental is in one week increments with a one week minimum stay with Saturday turnover. Towels and linens are not provided (linen rentals are available for people flying in). No smoking and pets are not allowed. There is no AC. For your convenience, my calendar is always up to date.
This two story home is a perfect family get away. The views of Island Pond from the home and oversized wrap around deck are dramatic. The house boasts 4 bedrooms, a loft with a twin sized pull out bed couch, and another full sized pull out bed couch in the lower level family room. The stairs to the pond, great for swimming, reveal a private sand beach. There are no kayaks at the house, but a place that rents them is nearby.
The home, on almost an acre of land, is on a dead end dirt road with only one other home on the street. Seclusion, yet so close to many activities. Plymouth center is only 20 minutes away. The Sagamore Bridge is only a 5 minute drive.

We had 3 family vacation, 6 adults and 4 kids. The house was great for that amount of people. The rooms and bathrooms were conveniently located and had a lot of space for each of the family. The house is cozy, clean and has its own path to a big and beautiful lake. It has its own beach, and the water is clean, something that the kids loved. They swam every day. The water in the house is very good, it's soft and cleaned, we cooked and drank it. Two of the bedrooms have a beautiful view to the lake. It also has a great porch where we would spend a lot of time on and have all of our meals. The owners of the house are very good, they answered fast and helped us with whatever we needed. We would go to the beach every evening. Its 15-20min away. There we could have a fire and enjoy the ocean in the evening. The house also has a spot where we could sit around the fire. Very convenient parking. We recommend this house to anyone who wants an unforgettable vacation and would like to return ourselves

We had a wonderful stay, in mid-August 2024, with friends the first part of the week and family the second part. The house was large enough to allow space and privacy for everyone and the kitchen was well stocked for all our cooking/serving needs. The deck is huge with comfortable furniture and nice views of the lake through the trees. Delay was clear and although we brought plenty of tubes etc., the house actually had plenty of them to use had we not! Overall we had a wonderful time and would recommend this propertyhi

The inside and deck were great! View was my favorite and the hosts were quick to address any issues. I would suggest that the listing specify that there is no A/C . Coming from the south, we assumed it was there. Maybe a window unit in bedrooms? Also, the two small dirt roads were a surprise , but we got used to them.

A nice retreat
Had an amazing stay! The house was beautiful and it was so relaxing sitting on the deck over looking the pond.
And any questions we had the owner got back to us right away. Definitely would come back!

Another great week at Vumore
This is the 2nd time my family of 10 have been fortunate enough to stay at this lovely Waterfront home. It was just as enjoyable if not more so than the 1st time. The weather was perfect for enjoying the pond and relaxing on the spacious deck. We did do a few day trips but we were all so happy to be able to get back to Vumore where we could enjoy a swim or just cool down on the deck. The cardinals are always a delight to hear and catch a glimpse of but the sounds of our grandchildren enjoying the pond was even better. We look forward to our next stay at Vumore.

You can’t get any better than Vumore!
You cant get any better than Vumore. If you’re looking for a wonderful family getaway on a clean beautiful pond in a clean beautiful house, look no further. Incredibly economical for the space and for what you get by renting this property. This home would be perfect any time of year but boy is the summer on the pond amazing. We stayed the last week in August and it was simply heavenly. Not only is the house beautifully appointed with everything you need, it is also large but still cozy, and on a perfect spot. Five minutes from the local campground store, 10 minutes from shopping and just 15 minutes or so to get over the bridge and enjoy all that the cape has to offer without being in the middle of it. We stayed a week and didn’t go out to eat once which was extremely economical. We cooked in the perfectly appointed kitchen and on the grill on the main deck. Then at night we enjoyed the lower deck by the fire pit. There were so many spots to enjoy in this large home. My boys had to finish summer reading and enjoyed “shutting down” in the twin loft to do their reading and summer projects. My husband and I enjoyed the private space in the master suite with a huge king bed, office area for me to check in with work once in awhile and perfect bathroom. All so clean and fresh! There was plenty of alone space but also space for family to gather and to come visit during our stay. The ample storage space and drawers made settling in easy. The entrance had a wonderful spot for charging phones and devices and even a top notch blue tooth radio so we could play our favorite tunes throughout the house the entire week. The basement was perfect for my boys to set up a play area and even connect on their video games once in awhile. We spent hours on the dock fishing and swimming and took the canoe out almost every night. We caught sunfish, large mouth bass and even turtles in our nets tallying up over 30 catches during the week. The WiFi helped us to stay connected. The laundry area worked out great to keep our towels and suits clean. After each swim we rinsed off in the outside shower. The owners were responsive and attentive but also gave us the privacy we desired for a week of solemn family time. I could go on and on about this amazing property and all that it will bring to you and yours but I’m sure HomeAway will cut me short. Overall, Vumore is next to heaven. Don’t look any further.

The house The view and the lake were all outstanding.
The house was very comfortable and provided the lake cottage feel we were searching for. The house was large and provided plenty of bedrooms and beds to accompany our party of 11. It is modern and all that was there worked wonderfully. We had absolutely no issues with appliances, plumbing or electricity.
But the best part was the lake view and the lake. Technically it might be a pond but it is med size and was just perfect for our kyaks. The water was much warmer than the ocean which is just 12 minutes away and we spent hours swimming. The view from the deck every morning while having coffee was something . It was quite relaxing.
The only problem we had was on the last day. We simply didn t want to leave

Perfect Family Vacation Setting
My family of 10 ranging in ages from 5 to 86 had an absolutely wonderful time at Vumore. This location is perfect for young and old alike. The covered deck is so spacious and suitable for sharing meals and relaxing any time of day. The view is even better than the pictures.
We enjoyed some hot summer days but the deck always offered a refreshing breeze. The water was clean and temperature was great for younger ones to splash and swim in the shallow sandy bottom pond. The occasional motor boat would come buy and offer the fun of jumping into the waves they created. Water was so clear you could see the fish from the deck. Early mornings were so peaceful as we woke up to the water being so still and looking like glass. I also enjoyed seeing the cardinals and other birds that made appearances daily in the lovely surrounding trees.
Vumore is super clean and well maintained inside and out. It has a very homey atmosphere and a special essence. There is plenty of room for all ages to have their own space. The loft is a special feature and was a great retreat for my 16 year old granddaughter to escape younger siblings. Kitchen is very functional and has a good number of place settings and glasses etc. to accommodate families. So thankful for the dishwasher! Kitchen table is big and was the perfect spot for before bedtime games of Uno.
The location is ideal. While it is secluded (which we love), it is not far from grocery stores, coffee shops and restaurants, and is within easy access to area attractions for a day trip or two if desired.
Owner is very accommodating and pleasant to deal with. We definitely hope to rent this location again and would recommend it to any family who enjoys summer living, swimming and relaxing. It truly is a special place.

Great house, great location, great times.
Our group had a great time throughout our week stay at this property. Nothing better than sitting in this easy access lake during a hot summer day with a group of friends. Eileen, the owner, was more than helpful and a pleasure to work with. We filled up the house and we were still very comfortable. We all agreed we wanted to book the house again next year!
