Dinner was exceptional. There was so much to it and yet all done well. Hard to imagine how an average person can possibly finish it all. Even the tea was very nice. Staffs were very welcoming right from the moment we arrived at the hotel with numerous staffs ready to serve us at check-in. Our butler, Sara, was very friendly and courteous. In-room onsen was easy to use and the public foot bath at rooftop has excellent view of Mt. Fuji. Options at breakfast were great too! I also had an in-room massage. It was on points with excellent pressure. (A minor suggestion is if I could have the the option to have the massage outside of my suite, that would be even better as we would not risk disturbing my kids from their sleep in the next room)
We couldn't have asked for anything more.

Great location. Easy access from train station by walking or hotel shuttle. Public onsen was excellent. Room was clean and spacious.

I don’t know from where I should start, the staff were extremely helpful, nice very friendly and professional. We booked room with onsen with fuji Mountain View which was a heavenly view! I would go back again for sure!
Nothing at all

A wonderful experience for our one night stay in Fujikawaguchiko. The staff were super, very friendly and incredibly accommodating. The room was extremely comfortable and a we had a nice view of the lake. Staff helped organised private Onsen and massage to help make the experience even more unique - highly recommended.
Nothing to add - a very positive experience and memory of our time in Japan.

Excellent service, great food and amazing location. The in-room massage from one of the staff was first class.
Nothing. Was all great.

Beautiful view of Mount Fuji from our room with a private onsen. We booked a Japanese style room, it is very spacious at around 47m². From their website, I think our room is Type K. The room is very well maintained, clean and beautiful!
Based on the photos there are different layouts for the same Type K, ours had a smaller onsen area with no outdoor chairs. As we went during winter, it was still great because we could chill indoors and still admire Mount Fuji.
The onsen was sooo good, temperature not too hot and it was very clean. We also had a beautiful view of Mount Fuji. The rooms are also well heated and the toilets are such a joy to use. Warm seats and bidet, shower and sink area (2 sinks) are also spacious. We loved the amenities as well.
The service was outstanding from the start to the end. Although if you check in late at night it might be part-timers at the reception, I’ve noticed that they are a lot less professional (using their phones openly and chatting loudly away). They seem like part-timers so it’s understandable. Otherwise, their service is very professional.
Upon our arrival there was someone to guide us to our room and explain how to utilize the ryokan, poured us tea and served us snacks. Their breakfast spread is also really good. The best breakfast spread we have had in Japan so far. They also provide free coffee tea hot chocolate with their coins at the lobby lounge. They also have detergent-free laundry machines (500¥) and microwave which is great! They also have shuttle buses from the hotel to Kawaguchiko Station. Location is great, near a Lawson’s and 10mins walk from the station!
We had a really wonderful stay and would stay again next time.
It would be great if they can increase the number of people who can dine in room for the kaiseiki dinner. Would love to try next time!

Service and experience were amazing. Public onsen has awesome view of Mt. Fuji. Dinner was incredible. Very clean. Great buffet breakfast. Perfect for a mountain getaway.
The private onsen that you can rent for an extra 3500 yen was a bit disappointing, it was small and very hot without a good view of Mt Fuji because of the steam on the windows. I would just recommend you visit the public onsen.
4.6
The traditional Japanese evening meal was excellent, as was the breakfast. As Europeans, we appreciated the choice of European/US style food. The public Onsen was very spacious. I shall never forget bathing in the onsen outside gazing at Mount Fuji.
The ryokan was perfect for us. However, the surrounding area of Lake Kawagachiko is disappointing. Very tired and falls short of its potential.
The futons were a too thin and a little uncomfortable. Surprisingly, we had previously stayed in two ryokans, much cheaper and lesser overall standard than the Konanso, but their futons were much more comfortable.

Nice private onsen and beautiful view

The location was one of the big factors on why we wanted to stay at this hotel. The rooftop had an awesome 360 view of the lake and Mt Fuji. We booked a traditional Japanese Tatami room with private onsen. The view of Mt Fuji from our room was the one of my favourite parts. Then there was the traditional dinner served in our room which was a great experience and tasted delicious. All the staff were courteous and attentive. We felt very looked after and recieved the best service. There was heaps of amenities and the facilities were excellent.
There really wasn't anything I didn't like. Although I'd warn that the futons can be a bit hard on the ground so if you're sensitive to that I'd recommend book a Western style bed.

- The staff were so friendly, and they spoke good english as well, they helped us with all our questions
- You can book a private onsen for only 20 euro (50 min, but that's enough time). They also have a free foot-spa on the rooftop and public onsen (they told us the public one was even okay to use if you have tattoos, but we chose the private one anyway).
- The breakfast (so many options!) and you can get free (ice) coffee and tea the whole day
- Location was great, super close to the train station. We rented bikes, if you don't have big luggage it's easy to walk, but they also offer free shuttle bus service. There is a 7/11 super close and various restaurants.
- The room itself was so spacious! It was more like an apartment, with a private hallway, bathroom and big room with little seating area and futon beds (we went for the traditional room option).
- Nothing to do with the hotel, but we saw Mt Fuji :)
- The futon bed wasn't super comfortable, but it was nice to have an experience close to a more traditional ryokan style sleeping situation.

The in-room dinner post-onsen was the best meal we had in Japan. The staff and experience made it stand out. Our view of Fuji was amazing! The location was wondering. Bikes and boat rentals just a couple minute walk away. The breakfast buffet was incredible, so many delicious options. Come hungry! I loved the traditional Japanese rooms. The floor beds were comfortable. Everything was so peaceful.
There were a LOT of spiders and webs on the way up to the rooftop foot spa, and a couple at the foot spa itself.
4.6
The room was fantastic. Both dinner and breakfast were delicious. The bath was very comfortable.
I would like milk to be served with onsen or can be purchased.

Amazing experience, location and facilities.
The staff couldn’t have done more to make us feel welcome and the woman who served our dinner in the room was exceptional. The food was an incredible experience and we loved the process of cooking parts of it ourselves.
The communal baths always seemed so quiet and I was the only one in the them multiple times so we were surprised when we saw so many people at breakfast as it felt so quiet.
Although we didn’t see Mount Fuji we did love the view from the rooftop foot spa - highly recommend a trip up there.
We had a room with a private bath, but that was quiet small and we only used it once.
nothing!

good location, delicious menu
When we check in , they forgot tell us can get bathrobe to wear 😟😟

The staffs were super friendly. He prepared tea for us and went over all the facilities and services the hotel provides in our room. I never had this service in any other hotels.
4.6
Exceptional service and great onsen facilities. Dinner service and food was excellent. Room was very spacious and had view over the lake. View from the footbath on the roof was superb.
We were not aware there was a shuttle service from kawaguchiko station (although we now found this information on their official website). We were slightly late to check in and the attendant who brought us to our rooms forgot to show us where to collect our yukatas (on the ground floor near the lobby). This resulted in us being late for our private onsen session.
4.6
Great location, 10-15mins walking distance from train station, but they provide shuttle bus service too. Nice and clean, spacious room, love the Japanese style bedroom with lake view. The private bath with Mount Fuji view is amazing. Convenient store on the same street.
Nothing.
