O hotel é lindo e super charmoso.
Nada! Foi realmente incrível =)

The location was perfect - in a beautiful and active part of town, the staff was very helpful and the room was exceptional.

I love the charm of the historic building. I love the story behind it, and it was an elegant, charming place with appropriate updates.
I liked everything about it. There was nothing I did not like.

Hotel muito confortável e aconchegante, equipe muito atenciosa, localização excelente, próximo de pontos turísticos, bares e restaurantes.
Gostei de tudo.

Café da manhã excelente;
Staff simpático e atencioso;
Quarto amplo e confortável;
Localização em Santiago é ótima, perto de bares/restaurantes e também pontos turísticos importantes;
O valor da diária é alto, mas vale a pena.

Nice historic facility located near the Fenicular. Great location for walking to restaurants and shopping.
Smaller room than other hotels.

Previous stay. Central to Bellavista, Courteous and friendly staff.
the locking systems on the front gate as well as the access to the auto parking area

Great location in Bellevista/Lastarria. Nice large room with windows. Happy hour with free wine every evening at 5pm was perhaps the highlight of this hotel :-) Breakfast chef was effusively happy and welcoming.
Breakfast was pretty lame. I like avocado toast as much as the next millennial, but smashed avocado thinly spread on thin toast wasn't a great breakfast. Ham and eggs weren't much better. Chef was super nice, but food was disappointing.

Would recommend this place to any (especially English speaking) traveler visiting Santiago for their first time. Very helpful and patient 24hr reception, and the breakfast was amazing. The free wine tasting every day from 5-6pm was a major bonus! Every staff member was so kind eager to guide us through our first visit to Santiago.
There is not a single thing we didn't like!

Fabulous staff and an excellent location.
The Bellavista neighborhood is so unique and there are dozens and dozens of restaurants to choose from within walking distance.
The hotel has an afternoon wine hour daily which was pleasant.
The breakfast was a big letdown within very few options. Breakfast staff was pleasant.
The shower in the bathroom was a good size but the shower head was quite small and not adequate for a pleasant shower.

We absolutely loved our stay here. The staff were so friendly and helpful and always greeted us kindly and nothing seemed to be a bother. We also loved our complimentary room upgrade! From the very beginning the staff were helpful in providing me with contact details that were required in order to obtain my Chilean Visa, something other hotels in the area wouldn't do! The hotel itself is absolutely beautiful and really well appointed and I fell in love with all of the 1920s period features and decorative touches. Wine hour was brilliant and we enjoyed getting to know the staff and other guests during this time. The location was absolutely brilliant and we loved exploring the area with so many lively bars and eating establishments nearby and it was close to the zoo, fernicular and cable car too. It was also easy to grab a cab or uber around the city from here and returning to the hotel felt like a home away from home. The room was extremely comfortable and the seemingly unending hot water was an absolute treat after our peruvian travels where hot water was scarce! Although a slightly pricier option than others in the area we never regretted our choice to stay here, it was worth it! Highly recommend a stay here!

We were only here for one night but it was lovely - Barbara and staff were just wonderful and could not have been nicer, friendlier or more helpful. The interior is beautiful - the restoration done and the decor is just beautiful. The rooms are a really good size and the beds are comfy. It's very near lots of bars and restaurants and the funiculur up to the top of the hill there.
The hotel does a wine hour - they open a couple of bottles of wine and you get to sit and try / drink them with other guests. Lovely concept!
Shower pressure was low but it is an old building.

Our best stay in Santiago so far!
We stayed in several conventional hotels before reaching Castillo Rojo, instead of staying in averagely outdated 4-5 stats hotel, we finally fall under the charm of this centenary establishment. The interior is an successful marriage between history and up to date taste, we enjoyed our room as well as common area such as the bespoke living room, the lovely terrace and courtyard. If you are lucky, then maybe you will meet Alvaro and his assistant Daniel, whom added a last touch of magic in our stay, the real sense of services that we were no longer expecting from Santiago anymore.
Thank you guys to successfully changed our opinion positively on your city.
Nothing after what we ve been through Santiago's general level of service.

staff were so gracious and helpful, included breakfast was excellent
I didn’t realize in advance that the taxi pickup they kindly arranged for us for our pickup was expensive, it was more like a limo service- we discovered it was much cheaper using Uber for our return to airport

Beautiful historic hotel, helpful staff, lovely courtyard, great breakfast, quiet location close to walking parks and restaurants- great place to explore Santiago from and comfy place to come back to.

Excellent breakfast, charming architecture, historic building, comfortable rooms, proximity to great restaurants and many interesting sites in Santiago.
Breakfast could have started a bit earlier.

Fabulous location. Gorgeous decor. Amazing staff. My fave spot in Santiago.
Water pressure in shower weak.

Staff were very accommodating. Character and presentation of the shared spaces (lounge, courtyard) and room were lovely and nice to have coffee/tea station.
Breakfast was disappointing. Menu offered eggs benedict but chef didn't know how to make hollandaise sauce to put over the egg (and egg was cold). Coffee was very ordinary - espresso would've been preferred!
Was left outside for a while with luggage waiting to be let inside locked gate - felt a bit vulnerable (glad it wasn't at night) and not very welcoming - was told buzzer wasn't working properly and would be fixed; however the same thing happened several times after that and buzzer did not appear to be fixed over 3 days I was there.

The room was comfortable and the property is in a great location.
my corner room #8 was a bit noisy at night

Barbara and Daniel were excellent and helpful. We loved being near the Funicular, the Turistika bus stop and Bella Vista Patio. Loved how old it was and the entrance area was lovely and green.
Wondering if they could have a card operated lock on the front gate. It seems cumbersome to us for a person having to unlock the gate each time we went out and came back.

An oasis of calm and comfort in this busy city. Traditional furnishings and décor are matched by all the modern facilities you might need and the friendly staff go out of their way to be helpful. The rooms are a good size and there is a spacious lounge/bar area to relax. The hotel is 5 minutes walk from the Cerro San Cristobal funicular station and the Pablo Neruda house, right in the middle of the Bellavista barrio. This means lots of restaurants and bars within easy reach.
Having to ask for gate to be unlocked to enter and leave

very friendly and accommodating staff. daniel and Barbara were both so helpful. the location was quiet and safe. easy walking distance to the lively restaurants and bars.
breakfast was just ok. there was one choice of eggs. no typical buffet with fruit, cheese and bread.

The location of the hotel was perfect to explore Santiago. The hotel has an artsy vibe and funky decor. Friendly staff at the 24h reception.
Our room was situated right in front of a living-room type lounge, where people would hang out in the early mornings which made it very noisy for us. Unfortunately we were not able to change rooms.
Be aware that there is no elevator.
