We had a really nice time at Mirador de Quetzales. The cabins are so cute & cozy and there is so much birdlife all around the property (we would see hummingbirds from our bed). It's a beautiful place to relax for a while and just enjoy the views, birds and bees all around. They easily organised tours and the food was great (we are vegan and they made some meals off menu for us and all were fantastic).

This is worth the drive if you enjoy nature, scenic views, hiking and delicious meals!
Fantastic chef, best food I’ve had in Costa Rica!
Chalets are rustic, simple, clean and cozy which was perfect for our time visiting this beautiful section of the cloud forest.

We went specifically to this accommodation to take the morning guided walk to see the Quetsal. The guide was good. We saw the Quetsal and other birds. Great experience. The lodge has rooms and cabins. Our small cabin was older, cold in the night but clean and fine for one night.

The food and the view were excellent. The dinner and breakfast were the best food on our whole trip! The cabin had a view of the mountainside and it was amazing to see the clouds pass through. The private hiking trail led to lots of wild birds and a waterfall.
The cabins are not well insulated. At night in November it got cold. The room had warm blankets and a space heater but was still a little chilly. Bring warm PJs

Location, is all about the location, the weather, clean air and surrounding nature.
Also, the waterfall trail, however it lacks of security features
I think it is overpriced... cabins/rooms aren't well equipped (no TV, not a strong WIFI, too small), the bed was small for two people and one could feel the springs of the matrix, also the food could not be ordered at any time, but at specific times, for example you had to pre-order dinner at 5 pm, and the last time you had available to enjoy it was at 7:30 pm

The location is absolutely breathtaking. We went on the tour and saw a resplendent quetzal and many other birds.
The staff were super friendly and the hot water bottles were much appreciated. The food was very good.
The cabins have huge windows and you can just sit and watch the hummingbirds and swifts and the occasional quetzal.
There were lots of interesting moths and birds and flowers.
My daughter liked watching the television and sitting near the woodburner in the lounge work the little boy who lives there (Isaac). It was nice to meet the other people staying there.
The smell of smoke from the woodburner is lovely.
It was freezing cold. We had three blankets and a hot water bottle and each other but still had to sleep in jumpers - my husband slept in two pairs of trousers!
The cabins are very basic. One glass, no tea and coffee making facilities, no TV, no side lights, no guaranteed WiFi.
