Cute rustic hotel along the main street in Otavalo just steps from the market. They have a deal with a parking lot in the next block which was a great bonus. We enjoyed our meal in the hotel restaurant and the cook-to-order breakfast as well. The staff was very friendly and helpful.
We expected basic rooms, but they could still use some attention to lighting and some extra blankets for the cool nights in this mountain town.

Loved the comfortable rooms and decor.
Restaurant noise was a little loud at times.

Rustic and cool rooms, great food and service. A little gem in Otavalo. Well worth it.
I really liked everything and it was a bargain for what we got. Some more translations in English would make it more approachable for tourists.

Hosts were extremely responsive to messaging - arranged a reliable driver for my airport transfer and a few solo day hikes, which made me feel very safe. Breakfast was good, box lunches were more than I needed and there is an extensive reasonably priced menu for lunch/dinner. Staff were all friendly and helpful. Location is perfect - safe walking to plazas and markets. Room is basic but as expected. It was a bit chilly with open central courtyard but thick woolen blankets are provided and plenty of hot water. Bottled water dispensers on each floor. Lovely rooftop terrace with views of town and surrounding volcanoes. Great value and would absolutely stay here again.

Staff were delightful and helpful. Room was a reasonable size; hot water was a bit limited when there were lots of guests in the hotel and one of our rooms was close to the kitchen vent and was a bit smelly during breakfast cooking.
nice rooftop area to sit outside.
Kitchen smells in one of our rooms was not pleasant.

Basic room, very clean. Good location, good food, helpful staff. Comfortable bed. Strong Internet connection.
There is no common area to relax.

The restaurant is fantastic. Possibly the best meal we had in Ecuador the 8 days we were there.
Street noise. Not the worst, but it's a little loud

Welcoming, authentic and confortable hotel. Hot shower, good wifi.
The main advantage of that hotel is its restaurant. I ate there for 3 nights and everything was good. It's nice to just have to go down to the restaurant after a day of activities. No need to get out. The offer of good restaurants is not very large in Otavalo.
Just a tiny bit noisy : barking dog, signing roster (yes!), noise from the kitchen
Coffee at breakfast can be improved
The only window gives on the interior courtyard so it must be closed for privacy.
But these negative points would not stop me to go back to that hotel for a next trip.

Little gem with cosy athmosphe with traditional decor, which made us feel the authentic experience of Otavalo. Staff very friendly, efficient, and accommodating.
Toiletries provision could be improved for the price paid. But not a biggie.

Food was wonderful. The staff was so pleasant .. everything is so well done we didn’t need to make requests.
We booked a driver from the airport in advance because of a midnight arrival.. he was right on time, and offered interesting commentary on the way to the hotel.
We used him again for other activities.. he was great
. We were 2 ladies traveling and we felt safe and comfortable at all times.
Maybe a washcloth. But not white

My primary reason for visiting Otavalo was the Saturday morning Poncho Market and Dona Esther is located at a short distance from there. The Dutch couple who own the place are helpful and friendly, as are the staff, although few speak English. Wendy, the owner, had a small electric heater put in my room, which I really appreciated.
At first I was in a noisy, street-facing room (#1) with a broken lock but I asked for and was moved to better one. Also, the valve for the shower is positioned so high that I couldn't reach it; but I was given a mop handle with which to move the lever. Both problems were solved.

The was a charming little place with character. Comfortable beds, great shower, nice breakfast, and fantastic location. loved the inner courtyard and little library/sitting room!

I like the service and the cleaness of the whole hotel. I love the breakfast, very good options.
I think the floor in the rooms is noisy and the door lock and key are too old. They didn't work properly. Also it could be a good option to put a tv in the rooms.

a good restaurant!

Nice old building right at the centre with good restaurant and nice staff. They let me check-in early in the morning and luggage storage was not a problem after check-out.
Room was a bit smelly as it is in old buildings and was really cold.

The location was excellent! Just a few blocks from the artesenal market. The place is very cute and clean. The food in the restaurant was delicious and the staff were very friendly.
The walls are very thin, so you can hear everyone in the dining room from your room until they go to bed. The pillows were a bit thin for my liking.
