The staff, Elena, Ivan and Patti are very friendly and helpful, providing information and arranging taxis, the breakfast was delicious and the room very clean and comfortable. Location is great, only 10 minutes walk from Plaza de Poncho and the bus station.

The staff was very kind, even when we arrived late at night, the property is newly renovated, the beds, furniture, bathroom, shower and everything looks like new or renovated, there's a great painting at the entry, really beautiful and related to Ecuador. The breakfast was nice, filling and made with fresh food, the location was perfect to arrive or leave by bus, in front is the main road to Quito and a few blocks from there there's the main bus terminal with buses going to almost anywhere in Ecuador, the city centre is at a walkable distance, we went to the artisans market on Saturday, great experience, overall, very recommended place to stay. Great value for the money
Nothing bad really, everything was perfect

Such a new, great hostel- the room, bathroom and kitchen were exceptional. I also loved the design.
I needs a bit of time to walk to the city center, but that's okay. However, the bus terminal is near.

Amazing stay at The Traveler Hostel. The staff were all lovely and super helpful, with information on what to do in and around Otavalo. Incredible kitchen facilities for cooking dinners, and a nice space next to reception to chill and watch a bit of Netflix if you fancy. Great location, being a 10 min walk from the town and also close to Waterfalls and bus stops for trips out to the surrounding area.

We have enjoyed our stay here very much and felt welcome every day. The staff is incredibly nice and kind, helps to organise daily activities and kindly accommodated our vegan diet at breakfast. And as we do not speak Spanish we appreciated that some of the staff spoke English, which we did not find often during our South America trip. The rooms were spotless and the facilities are comfortable and cozy. We highly recommend staying here when visiting Otavalo!!!

Everything is clean and the furniture and the rooms are very nice.
I was in room 3 and it was really noisy cause of the road in front and in the morning the whole room was very bright so I didn’t sleep very well

The staff were great and the hostel was pristine. Best shower I have had so far.

Lovely accommodation. Really clean inside, with a lovely, well equipped kitchen.
Staff were all very friendly and helpful.
Beds were comfy (with lovely blankets, and extra duvets if the blanket isn't enough).
Showers were hot, and spacious.
Despite being close to the road, very little noise at night.
Good location to walk to the waterfalls etc.
Close to town, and the whole area felt safe.
Nothing, really! It really was as good as the reviews all suggested!

Modern facilities, good wifi
The room I booked was not the room offered on arrival. Checking staff were very slow to respond to our arrival.

Safe, clean and comfortable. Nice included breakfast and good kitchen facilities to cook further meals. close to a supermarket and bus stop, and a 10/15 minute walk in to town. staff very helpful with options to WhatsApp questions in English or Spanish.
I think our room was newly made and it could have done with some finishing touches like a mirror in the bathroom and hooks

nice, clean and well organized hostel. Spacious with all the necessary (and clean) facilities.
Staff is helpful, but not always there, you can reach out to the owner through WhatsApp for more help. The sad thing is that it just doesn’t have the atmosphere and neither the approachable staff that a hostel really needs.
Perfect for a good nights sleep, less so for hostel vibes.

Nice bedrooms and kitchen. Staff is very friendly. The location is a bit outside but thats actually great without the noise of the city.

Great place. Great staff.

Everything was new and clean, showers had great water pressure and we enjoyed the porch a lot. Breakfast was very filling. Side of the hostel away from road was quiet. Near bus station.
The location is a bit out of the way, but it’s completely safe to walk to downtown even at night. Some small stuff: I wish there were more pans in the kitchen, and trash cans in the rooms.

The staff is so friendly and helpful.
It is a little bit out of town. If I have to name something.

The staff is so helpful and nice. The facilities are clean. The beds are very comfortable. The showers have hot water. I would have given this a lower review but the staff was amazing. they were doing construction on the second floor right above my room all day and until 9:30 pm. I complained about it multiple times, and they refunded me the room. They were so nice and humble and helpful about the noise, but everything in general. The owner is the nicest man.
The showers are designed dumb. The water points to the shower door, so everything gets wet.

Staff very so friendly. They gave loads of information on where to go and how to get there. Hostel was spotless. Hot showers, great kitchen facilities, comfy beds. They even set us up with Ecuadorian sim cards. Would highly recommend them

I had a lovely stay at the traveller hostel, the owners could not have been more helpful with local advice on how to plan my hikes and cooking a delicious fresh breakfast every day

+ modern, clean hostel
+ nice and helpful lady at the reception
- rooms communicate and we had a very noisy neighbor on the phone until very late
- most comments mention how welcoming the owner is and he was not around, which was a bit disappointing

Amazingly clean rooms, hot showers, really nice staff

The staff was very kind. They spoke English fluently, which made it easy to converse with them and ask them what I needed to know. The breakfast was simple but very delicious and I could always ask for more if needed.
