A gem of a hostal! The ambiance here is so good. First time that I have been to a hostal where you can take complimentary snacks and drinks! Exceptional place. The hostal is really clean and very well taken care of. So much care in everything, also in the details if you pay attention. The owner is very kind and willing to help.

Great location, very very helpful and friendly staff! daily cleaning was great, we were super happy!
Wi-Fi would automatically switch off after midnight which was quite frustrating! Showers weren’t great

The hostel is really beautiful and has tons of space to hang out, especially the rooftop. The staff were really friendly and the location was right outside the Centro and close to tons of really good restaurants. There's also a tv which surprised us, and the wifi was excellent.
It was all good.

Superb & amazing hostel
I like everything about the property, excellent location, very clean, great breakfast, free coffee, tea & snacks. Jorge the host is lovely, helpful & welcoming, he even bakes cakes for the guests! Thank you for a very enjoyable week.
nothing

Really lovely place to stay for couples, families, or solo travellers who want some alone time
Breakfast options good
Staff really attentive and nice
Location great
Not really a negative but it didn’t have a social atmosphere, something to note if you are a solo traveller and want to meet people

The host was really lovely and welcoming. Our room was quite big and had comfortable beds. Very clean facilities and a rooftop terrace with a beautiful view. Very close to central Oaxaca. Got a free shot of mezcal too! I'd really recommend this place.
4.5
There is much effort for the place to feel like home.
4.5
The place is secure and reasonably comfortable, though a little warm in my room as there was no aircon. The terrace is nice enough. WiFi was fast enough (though had a couple of issues when I was there)
They price their property in USD and then charge in Mexico Peso but use a bank conversion rate that favours them rather than the market rate.
There was only one toilet on the floor I was on (but three showers), while the facilities were clean they aren't great.
4.5
Beautiful property, large rooftop terrace to relax on, huge rooms, comfortable bed, lovely staff and a tranquil feel to the place.

It was exactly what we were looking for. Comfortable, nice hosts and calm place to relax

It was very clean and secure. The owner seemed friendly. They let me store my backpack in the office all day before checking in late that afternoon. There is a rooftop terrace that seemed pleasant, and it had a nice view of the surrounding mountains. The location isn't bad. There is a nice little market one block down the street.
The place has a whole, whole lot of rules. I've never seen so many signs posted about, "do this" or "don't do that". At first it was amusing, but then I'd turn another corner and see another couple of signs. Signs, signs everywhere. It was too much. Some might conclude that the rules are what keep the place nice. You might be right. I don't go into places planning to tear them up, or pee on the toilet, or steal the t.v. remote, etc. I'd like to stay someplace that assumes I don't do that kinda stuff. It feels as if this place assumes most backpackers are irresponsible and thoughtless, though the owner and workers were friendly- they just like signs. There's more: It was slightly more expensive when I arrived to pay than when I booked online, and though I made the reservation with a credit card, the place only accepted cash when I actually checked in. At that time, the very nice young lady made a point to tell me that I had not requested an air-conditioned room when I booked online, but they would go ahead give me one anyway, as if she was doing me a favor (online, it said the rooms were air-conditioned. Whatever, man...) I had to leave at 7:30 a.m. the next morning and the breakfast was not ready. I don't think 7:30 a.m. is all that early.

Very nice service and good breakfast!!

Very clean, place is well managed by staff, breakfast is of good quality and value (70 pesos). It’s about 10-15min walk to the main tourist attractions. Loved the free filtered water (hot and cold) and the snack table. There’s hot water for shower.
Beware that the pictures could be misleading, always confirm with the property when you book. I got a room that doesn’t have all the amenities my booking confirmation claims. I want to believe this is an honest mistake. The management should try to address the issue, so the pictures represent each room better.

Nicest hostel I've ever stayed in. So comfortable, beautiful rooftop to chill, quiet rooms and a lovely staff. Breakfast was dreamy.
Nothing.

Nice, quiet location but within easy walking distance of the centre. Very helpful owner, Jorge, an eclectic mix of guests, nice common area with free tea, coffee, and snacks, good WiFi. Highly recommended!
The shared bathroom facilities need upgrading.

Breakfast is definitely the best thing that you'll get from this hostel. The lady preparing it was also amazing
There's no real hostel atmosphere, is more like a cheap hotel where you could socialize a bit with other guests while having breakfast. One of the staff ladies at the front desk ruined our experience since she was reaaally mean, non willing to help or doing the bare minimum to "help", and she basically kicked us out after we came back to pick up our bags after the check out and we just wanted to chill for a bit after sightseeing in a very hot day. I'm not sure if all this attitude was specially towards me because of my nationality or if it was the case for everyone else, but I'm very suspicious of it.

Very helpful staff. Room was nice and comfortable and clean. I thought the snack/beverage area in reception was a really nice touch. Great value for money.
Not much I didn’t like, I thought it was good for the price.
4.5
Room size was ok
The bed linen is rather small for the bed
Good breakfast with choices
No separate washbasins, only in the toilets
Few toilets on the upper floor

It's just incredible that you can see the sea from your bed, sleeping with the sound of waves and that you can just jump out and be at the beach at any point you feel like. The view of the sunrise from that location is unbeatable. You can also use the first line of chairs and sun umbrellas for free but can order stuff from the bar and restaurant if you want. The rooms are really cute, they have totally ok tables if you need to do some work (don't expect wifi for video conferencing but that goes for most places). Everyone working there was so helpful and understanding, flexible and accommodating to everything we asked for, organizing our taxis, letting us leave things after check out and just being incredibly kind people.
If they would improve the lighting in the rooms and outside to not be such strong lights, it would completely shift the experience. And this is really a minor thing in comparison to everything about the place that is amazing.

Super friendly Staff clean, beautiful, great breakfast. You feel you are being hosted and welcomed there, not just a place to stay for a night. Highly recommended.
Bed was a bit short if you are pushing 6' (182+/- cm)

Great room, 24 hour coffee and snacks, good WiFi and helpful staff - all that I could wish for
Liked it all

Great location, good security measures, big room with a comfortable bed, plus it had other things, like fan and drawers. All in all, nice vibe and atmosphere, hot water in the shower, Jorge was really helpful and kind
Could have been more bathrooms and toilets. The payment is only available by cash, EFTPOS would be good too

Staffs are great. Everything is well considered to make travelers happy. Location is not the best, but you can access to both ADO bus terminal and Periferico bus terminal by foot.
They don’t allow us to wash clothes, so I had to bring my clothes to a lavanderia.

Very nice staff. Free water, tea, coffee and snacks. The room was simple but comfortable. The breakfast was big and delicious for 70 pesos per person (juice, coffee or tea, fruits salad, yogourt + 1 dish of choice).
Easy to walk to the center and to the bus terminal.

I arrived at 2pm because the bus was late, notified host who didn't reply. Instead of welcoming me he said "you are too late, you should have booked another hostel." 3 hours later i had an early morning tour after hardly any sleep. I didn't knoq the recption door slams so accidently slammed it. Hostel owner yelled at me and blamed me for waking up a guest (who was already up before). I left after my tour, btw on my tour the guide said it wasn't the first she heard of him being rude to guests. FYI

The common areas we can use (plentyfull), the cofee area with snack (such a nice surprise), the roof top terraces, the safety feeling of beeing there, the location very close to main centre, the kindness of the hosts, everything was very clean all the time.
That our room (and most rooms seem like that) have the windows to the inner corridor so proper ventilation and refreshing is impossible! There was a smell at times in the bathroom because of the drains.
4.5
The staff of this property is phenomenally kind. Everything you could need is provided. The stay is extremely affordable. Its not in the extreme center of Oaxaca, but I felt very safe in the neighborhood, plus it allows you to also easily see less central parts of the city. Still, everything is easily reachable by foot from the Hostel.
The hostel itself was very pretty, I loved the rooftop! The guests were all very respectful of each other.
4.5
The host was extremly nice and helpful! He is the most wonderful person in the world. The facilities were very well kept and clean. The room was comfortable and met our requirements.
Highly recommended, especially for that price.
