Modern and upgraded- very nice facilities
A bit noisy in the front room

The location
Lack of wardrobe/drawer space. Disappointed no cooked breakfast available.

Room was excellent .best nights sleep I have had for ages.
Staff very friendly and helpful.
Slight struggle for me (aged 81) to negotiate the stairs.

The beds and pillows were really comfortable. The soft furnishings and decor were very well done. And the toiletries were lovely
We usually opt for a quieter location but our visit was for a family funeral so we wanted to be close to the family. The bedrooms faced the street and up until 23:00 there were people sitting outside having an enjoyable evening. If you go to bed early this may be a problem, but we didn’t as we had a lovely Italian across the road . Once we got to bed the noise level were quiet with only the occasional passing car. All in all it worked very well for us

Location was good for us, breakfast was good but only a continental breakfast in the week
Our room (the spitfire room)was right by a generator of some sort which made a humming noise all night then it would stop for 2 minutes then start again which kept me awake all night. When we complained in the morning the guy said "oh yeah we've got to get an engineer out to sort it sorry about that, don't suppose it helps you guys!"they obviously new the problem but still put us in that room and there was no offerr of compensation

Room was clean and tidy with a lovely bathroom. Well stocked mini bar at same prices as the bar. There as an issue with the chef on the evening but as I had already ordered they were able to complete my order and the staff kept me updated as there was a delay.
Info re car parking should be clearer - it wasn't the easiest to find. Although I didn't miss a cooked breakfast I wasn't aware that it was continental at the time of booking. Bed was a little firm and pillows very soft but that is personal preference and not the fault of the hotel

Kelly was superb, welcoming and made the stay all the better

Staff was welcoming and friendly. Location was ideal on the High Street in Odiham. Breakfast was excellent. Room was well laid out and nicely decorated. Bathroom was spacious and bright. Robes were provided.
Weather was unusually hot and rooms do not have AC (a fan was provided). Room does not have a safe. Guests who have difficulty with stairs should know there is no lift (this was not a problem for us). Some grouting in the shower could be refreshed.

The quirkiness of the building
Thought the breakfast would have a cooked option, but didn't
4.3
The location
Duvet too, too thick, tiny room, no hanging space
4.3
very good continental breakfast. Excellent breakfast goods & coffee
Room on roadside a little noisy early morning

Dinner.
When I arrived, despite booking confirmation from booking.com and the red lion they said I wasn’t booked in, they didn’t have a room. They eventually found me a room but at 2230 a member of staff opened my door without knocking saying she was looking for empty rooms !! The room was not good, it had many low beams and when I went to use the shower I had to bend very low and as I moved into the shower I burnt my arm on the towel rail. The windows are rotten and single glazed so road noise was very loud and the duvet was a heavy pudding.

lovely property with friendly people and lovely rooms

Location was excellent I grew up in Odiham and it brought back so many memories coming back and it’s still as beautiful as I remember. The Red Lion had very friendly staff and were incredibly helpful and welcoming. I would say If you are tall be prepared to duck under some beams. The bathroom was absolutely stunning the shower was second to none!!

Breakfast was brilliant, the bar area was welcoming and nice to sit in.
Staff friendly.
The room could do with a touch of paint and a freshen up as it was tatty in places on the walls.
4.3
Clean, comfy and lovely and snug.

We booked three rooms. Two were fabulous but one was very small with a very low door to the bathroom. Not so great when you are tall. Rook was quite chilly, needed a plug in radiator.
4.3
The beds, decor of building impressive bar
Only 1 biscuit for our beveages in the room
4.3
Only continental breakfast available Monday to Thursday which was good, cooked options Friday to Sunday were very nice.
Our room (javelin) was at the front of building which could be a little noisy at early mornings due to deliveries, bin collection etc

Lovely evening meal and great location. Very nice staff
The cleaner had missed emptying the bin and washing the glasses but other than that it was immaculate and a lovely room. Just an oversight I'm sure
