The cabin was extremely clean and well-maintained, offering a peaceful location with beautiful views. Perfect for families with plenty of outdoor activities nearby. Highly recommended!

Its a beautiful cabin in a very nice ...quiet and private location. It could use a bit of updating....but was very comfortable We planned this family vacation around our 2 1/2 year old granddaughter who loves the outdoors....she enjoyed the Riverbend watering hole...very close to the house but take your car if you have a little one or grandparents who cannot walk a very steep hill! We found lots of adventures....but the Lake Lure beach was not open
....except for weekends....disappointing....and the Train museum is closed...

The upstairs bathroom needed a shower there was a strange looking tub that you could spray yourself down with . A lot of wasted space definitely could use a remodel .

We have stayed at many rentals in the mountains and most have been great but little cleaning issues here and there. This cabin was by the the cleanest place we have ever stayed. We were all amazed that even the high and hard to reach area that you can see from the loft were even dusted. Outside furniture was cleaned off and ready to sit in.
Liz was a great host. Very response and extremely nice. We asked for paddles and lifejackets to use their boats in the lake and within minutes they had them to our cabin. We will be renting from her again. The Riverbend community was a great location for our family with so much outdoor stuff to do and keep the kids entertained. Highly recommend renting this unit or one of her other 7 cabins.

The property was nice and the location was convenient to Lake Lure. Cabin was well equipped and offered what you needed to make your stay pleasant. The check in process at the gate upon arrival is a little difficult but once you're in, you have access to key cards making coming and going easier. The cabin could use a good cleaning to remove some dust and cobwebs that collect over time. Overall, a nice place, wonderful location.

Simply wonderful. The cabin was everything we thought: plenty of room for our group of seven, gorgeous views, peaceful neighborhood, lots of activities and hiking areas within close distance. We traveled with two boys (12 and 10), and they found plenty of activities within walking distance of the cabin to keep them entertained the whole week.
I’m hoping to return to this lovely cabin again next winter!

The hike was great, plenty of space to spread out. Good for a large group. The decks & fireplace are a plus. The creek on the property was dry during our visit, but I’m sure it’s nice when full. The bathroom on the upstairs loft is dated and has a huge tub so we had share the downstairs shower but if you had a large group I could see how that would be inconvenient. Overall it was a great stay, just as described.

The property was the perfect size for us. There were nine adults (4 couples) and one 11 year old. It was close to most things we wanted to do ( whitewater rafting, UTV, ziplining). There were plenty of linens and kitchen supplies. It was a great cozy place to unwind after the days adventures.

This is a beautiful house in a great location. We had a very nice weekend! However, when they call this a 5 bedroom house that is a bit of a stretch. The master bedroom and bedroom #5 are actually part of the same room and located in the loft. So both of these rooms are open to the living room below.
We were also disappointed in the lack of soap in the kitchen and the bathrooms. We were asked to load and start the dishwasher but there was no soap provided.
The owner did not answer the phone on the first night when my cousin needed to be buzzed in the gate. After six attempts she called us and we drove down to help her.
The queen matress in the basement is the worst mattress I have ever slept on. It needs replaced.
And, I guess my last issue would be the response of the owner when the power was out for 7 hours on Saturday evening. We had no power or water for 7 hours because a tree fell and knocked down a power line. In most cases a hotel would usually do their best to help guests who were inconvenienced. We had no power or toilets for 7 hours with 9 people! When we called to check on things we were told Duke energy was diligently working, there were no candles in the home, and that we could drive to Ingles to get some at our own expense. This would have been somewhat understandable until I found out that the owner was at another house in the neighborhood. I think she should have helped us!
Still a great time but expected a bit more from the owners. Thanks

It was beyond what we had even imagined !I lost my dad and grandpa within a year of each other It has been emotional and being with my husbands family in your stunning home and community, was exactly what my soul needed! I look forward to spending more trips at your home! Thank you for opening your home to us!

Awesome house in the mountains. Loved all the wood furniture and that the deck was completely fenced off so our dog could be outside with us. The kitchen was nice and spacious and the beds were comfortable. We enjoyed the cozy log house atmosphere.
The king bed is located upstairs and is a loft feeling room (for those looking for privacy, there isn't any sound wise). The spacious bathroom upstairs does not have a standard shower, just a large tub with a handheld shower faucet, but there is a shower on the main floor and in the basement, so no big deal for us.
There was a pet bin with bowls and blankets which was a nice touch in case you forget any supplies for your pet.
We would definitely rent here again, it was a great place!

Multi generational trip. The home was immaculate with plenty of room. The location is beautiful and our daily walks to the lake and the river were lovely. The house had everything we needed to prepare meals for our large group. We had movie days on the two rainy days we were there. Highly recommend.

The cabin is ok but need to be updated, wifi terrible we have to use our phones, only 3 TV , no smart TV , no privacy at all , the bedrooms doors lock not functioning, not much to do in winter time except chimney rock state park ..

though the cabin isn't as close to the water as we'd hoped, it's a shockingly gorgeous place with a whole wall of windows looking out over the gorgeousness outside. The loft is roomy and private without being too secluded, the bedrooms are large and comfy, and the kitchen is a perfect Household Headquarters. 6 of us came to the mountains to celebrate 50th birthdays and we are looking forward to coming back.

Our youngest daughter got married at Rumbling Bald, Lake Lure, NC and this house was perfect for our family to stay together and the wedding venue was just a short trip down the road for us. Location of the house was perfect for our family as we spent time together before and after the wedding to just sit and relax and enjoy the quiet peaceful atmosphere.

It was a nice weekend spot. Bedrooms are pretty good but living area and outdoor space are wonderful. Kitchen was adequate to prepare meals for our large family. I would recommend this property.

The Riverbend Community is beautiful; we had a fantastic week enjoying the outdoors. The cabin is in a great location, within walking distance to the beach and river area, but I had mixed feeling about our stay. The owner was very responsive, and checking in was easy. It’s true, some of the mattresses are overdue to be replaced, i.e., The queen downstairs and king size in the loft. The doors that lead to the porch downstairs don’t lock, and the handles are loose. Wi-Fi is a hotspot from the early 2000s, be prepared to lose connectivity. Bring your Fire Stick or RuKu; the satellite only has like three channels, and the TVs are not smart TVs where you can log-in to your personal accounts. The cabin requires a deep clean. We had to wash the shower curtains upon arrival, they stuck like urine. The bath towels smelled musty, like they were not dryer all the way before putting them away. There is what appears to be black mold on the ceiling in the loft area just above the tv from a previous or active roof leak. They have an extension cord running along the wall to the outside in the loft area. This cabin has a lot of bad DIYs and notes taped everywhere.. But it’s roomy, and the porches are great. This cabin just needs TLC.

Family Fun Time
We enjoyed our visit and your house was very nice. My family, all 10 were able to together. We made some good memories. There are 2 suggestions. One would be to have a mop guests can use. We were trying to keep the floor clean with little ones hitting the floor. The broom was a godsend. The other would be maybe upgrade your guest vacuum. We tried to use it on the main level, but it blew out dirt, so we did not want to make it worse. Love the pantry, nice to keep all the food in there. We were all impressed with the pantry.
Thank you again 💓

Perfect Getaway
Our family booked this cabin stay in Lake Lure to be close to the lake and neighboring communities while also being there for our son's Asheville wedding. We enjoyed having 3 floors for our family to spread out on, plenty of sleeping accommodations, and bathrooms. The neighborhood community is quiet and provides perfect access to the community lake and spring. We visited Asheville, Black Mountain, Chimney Rock, Hendersonville, and Brevard while on our stay. There is plenty to do and it's beautiful! Our host was so helpful when I had a package delivered to the community mailbox. Very friendly and responsive! 5 stars from us!

Bad Cabin Trip
First of all, The connection for the Wifi was very terrible, then the beds were awful made, Did not enjoy the whole experience and the way the cabin was advertised didn’t fit with what we excepted, The housekeeping lady didn’t leave the cabin so clean as promise , the beds had a smell to them, and overall Did enjoyed the near locations close to the cabin but overall the stay was terrible with not being able to use our phones or wifi kept going out too much. The Beds made us have back pain while waking up each day.

Won’t be staying here again
The house was not clean there was pet stains everywhere the beds were horrible. The water system sucked we couldn’t hardly shower while there I’m so glad I had brought a blowup mattress because you could barely sleep on their beds all together I just would not at all stay here or any of their cabins again sorry I just wasn’t impressed by any of it at all.

Beautiful home
Gorgeous 3 story log cabin private and quiet near a beach in Lake Lure. Plenty of room for 4 adults and 2 children under 10. Issues were the top bunk bed had a high mattress that was above the log railing so there was no safety railing. Couldn’t allow a child to sleep there. Also there were no frying pans to make eggs in. Had to use a pot. Also baked hash browns on the only available aluminum sheet and it set off all of the alarms. When I reported these things to Liz she was very defensive saying this has never happened in 10 years etc. and to call her if it happened again. Re frying pans she was defensive as well. The should be there etc. I had to ask for an additional garbage bag. Otherwise it was a lovely place to stay.
