We love this beach and you can't get a better location! The house was a great size and if it was clean and if the beds were comfortable, it would be a great place! Had to wash kitchen things before using, bedding had solids dried on and smelled funny but luckily it was warm enough to not need the covers. We had a great time and could overlook any negatives once we were at the beach, but it would be nice not to have to clean before enjoying the home but we mopped floors and cleaned kitchen items as we needed to use them. Vacuum barely picked up mess on floor but we tried. No railings to get down steep stairs to put trash in bins felt a little dangerous but couldn't leave bags out because huge raccoon was rattling around the first night and didn't want to make a mess by leaving trash bags on porch.

Great location, clean and well-appointed cottage with plenty of nice clean towels.

The beach was nice, The neighbor next door was very nice and welcomed us. The walkway to get into the house was a little long considering we had a wheelchair, but it was a nice area.

We stayed for a weekend and all of us wished we had stayed longer! Falling asleep to the sound of the ocean is soothing for the soul.

The location is incredible. We spent most of our time on the front porch or walking along the lovely beach. At the time of year we went (end of September), the beach is fairly empty other than a few people with their dogs.
The location is well worth it especially for the price. Agree with other reviews I’ve seen regarding lack of utensils in the kitchen and the beds aren’t very comfortable. Upgrades would be great, but would likely increase the rental fee.

The property for what we were looking for with our adult children and grandchildren. Adequate space and accommodations for 10. Beach right out your front door, couldn’t be better and it didn’t hurt that the weather was perfect! All amenities were great with a well stocked kitchen and fantastic dining table with plenty of seating! Would highly recommend and hoping to possibly rent again next year !

Excellent location and the house has everything you need. It could use some updates, but overall would stay here again and enjoyed our time in Rockport.

Great location overlooking the beach. However, the cleanliness of the rental was not what we expected. The refrigerator was dirty, there was mold in both showers, the sheets had sand and grass in them, and there were mice in the kitchen.

Location was our driving force and didn’t disappoint. Been renting up here for 25 years. Location was the best.

The location was awesome. The cleanliness of the house was awful. The sheets were not clean so we had to strip the beds and wash and dry the sheets before we could go to bed that evening. The floors had sand on them, the house was dusty, there was no hairdryer (we had to buy one), the iron did not work, we were told there were four beach chairs (we could not find them) and one of the showers had someone’s personal razor and soap container in it.

The view was amazing. The neighbors were nice. Beds...especially twin mattress were awful. Fly problem..windows and curtains dirty. Old towels of multiple colors.

Really lovely view, location is perfect. Nice clean water. House was ok, it was not clean properly
Broken beds, no AC, so it was to hot upstairs. No toilet paper, and shower shampoo with conditioner was clearly expired. There was a lot of mosquitoes and bugs in the house, and not really clean dishes
Other than that everything was perfect

We had a fabulous time here. Everyone loved being right on the ocean. We required a place with 7 separate beds and this filled that need. Would have been nice to have a bathroom on the upstairs but we managed.

The house is just as described and what the pictures show. It’s campy and rustic. The location is what makes the house! Younwalk out the door and there is the water and sand. We never wanted to leave the house. It’s a great place to people watch, walk on the beach and take a dip. We hope to be back again.

Recomend replacing grill
10.0 / 10.0
The property is clean, pleasant and RIGHT on the beach, close to everything. My only complaint was that it was so hot no one could sleep upstairs the first night. Fortunately, Chastity, the property manager, brought a large portable AC unit that cooled everything down. She was AWESOME! I would definitely stay again.

Perfect Location
We truly enjoyed this oceanfront beach home. The home is dated and none of the furniture/floors/bathrooms etc are modernized but it is 5 min. Drive to to the grocery, liquor store, ice cream, pizza shop and anything else you need. Approx. 20 minutes from the cute little town of rockport, 30 minutes from salem which you can easily catch a train from Gloucester or rockport to take into salem. The neighbors were amazing, accommodating and friendly. We were literally RIGHT on the water, we slept with the windows open so we could hear the waves. There is a walkway level with the yard for easy walking/strolling/exercising on the beach without actually getting in the sand. We were also able to bring the grill to the front yard so we could grill and chill while looking at the beach. Overall, it was perfect for us. (Also extremely easy to check in, park and check out). The place could be cleaner and electrical plugs could be replaced along with a few more blankets and pillows but all in all it is a cute place to get the "feel" of Massachusetts

Amazing location
This property is right on the ocean, spectacular view, beautiful sunrise, friendly neighbors and peaceful atmosphere. The house does have two bathrooms but neither is located upstairs where the majority of the bedrooms are. This is a problem since the staircase could be hazardous at night. Lacks a fully stocked kitchen if you intend to cook your meals at home. In general, this home could use a major update. The owners might consider keeping up with their investment as the location is amazing and the home should be better cared for. For example, the lovely windows facing the ocean should be cleaned regularly. Perhaps if a local person were to manage this property instead of a corporation the owner and the renters would be better served. All in all, we truly enjoyed our visit to Long Beach.

It’s all about the view.
There was a great view of the beach and the horizon. The stairs were close so you can get down onto the beach and a very large front porch with lots of chairs. We enjoyed this very much every morning.

Perfect Location on Long Beach, Rockport, MA
Situated among a line of beachfront homes, this property is somewhat rustic but very charming! My family (6 adults and 2 grand children) stayed here for a week in September and were very comfortable. The check-in process was seamless, everything was clean, the neighbors were friendly and the view of the Atlantic was absolutely spectacular! The only small issue we had, was there seems to be no routine trash pickup at this location but I called Vacasa and the trash was removed within a couple of hours.
We would definitely stay here again - highly recommended!

Location, location, location
What you see in the pictures is what you get. This cottage is outdated but the location is worth any negative comments. The steps to the beach are right in front of the property....easy to get to.

Good location, Average house
Location-awesome
House- very outdated
One thing I really hated was kitchen was like a clearance rack at home goods. Utensils without lids, No big utensils. What was there was ancient rusted ones.We planned to cook some food and really struggled with it.

Wait for It
This property was not in renting order when it was listed. We had to contend with partial bedrooms, dirty floors/curtains, broken doors, stained bedding, beach chairs under the house through an unlit dirt crawlspace. Very Dated. It has not been brought up to potential yet.

Rustic and Ocean Front
The house was rustic but very clean. The beach was very beautiful, close with consistent size waves. House was well equipped. It was nice to hear the waves while you were sleeping.

Dated/dirty
You should understand this cottage looks like it was opened after years of vacancy. Kitchen/bathrooms very dated. The 4 upstairs "bedrooms" are spaces in what looks like an old attic that are partitioned off, unfinished, and not floor to ceiling. No privacy. There are dirty rugs and bedding. Very selective online picture representation.
The porch and it's view are stellar.
The porch and it's view are stellar.
