The beach was amazing, although if feels like the nature reserve they describe it as, you have to walk through to get to the beach is more like a swamp…. It smells and is filled with dead things. Not pleasant
The pool is lovely… staff on the whole are very warm and welcoming. However the attention to detail is awful for a 5 star hotel, it lacks most things a decent room would require, bed is mediocre, lack of storage, no hooks, maids don’t replenish things which are clearly running low, the room turnovers were a constant pain. Or lack of it. Ants I’ll over the room.
Lack of toilets by the pool area meaning you have to walk back to reception in the morning to use which is an inconvenience.
Kids club is a joke, staff are lovely but it’s completely lacking toys and resources. Compare this to the Gym next door, gym 4 stars kids club 1 star ( meaning our kids didn’t want to spend much time there.) poor us.
Biggest problem is the food, in the main restaurant and pool bar, is very average and it’s so so expensive, we clocked this after day one of twelve. And realised we need to hire a car and eat out as much as possible. However with two young children this was a huge inconvenience. Considering it’s 1200-1400 euros a night. A gin and tonic is 24 euro. We’re not talking the ritz here it’s a beach side resort in Sardinia. We were not alone, I spoke to at least 7 other couples who felt exactly the same. They were shocked at how bad the food was and prices. We spoke to the manager who was nice and nodded a lot apologising. But I’ve read reviews going back and this has been going on for a few years and nothings changed. I wonder how they get repeat customers. Because we for certain are not coming back.

Terrible this is NOT A 5 star HOTEL
Staff was rude, overcharged, in the middle of no where, not for kids
4.0
Location and spaciousness
Quality of building, snack menu, price
4.0
Grata location. Very secluded and well maintained. Beach club is great and the rooms weee spacious and resort-like
The service needs some work. The staff are willing but when you have to ask for something 3 times and then it comes out wrong and slow; it’s just not up to 5-star. The breakfast service was just a joke in this regard. I get they’re relatively new but someone needs to train these people better. Nice people but a bit all over the place.

Friendly/ Great staff

Great location. Most beautiful beach. Staff super helpful. Lovely breakfast and option of sitting outside with sea view. Rooms very comfortable. Traveled with children so needed to use the sofa bed which was very comfortable. There’s a shuttle service to take you down to the Marina for a small charge. Very spacious hotel.

Excellent staff and service. Beautiful resort
Have room service

Beautiful property
Confusion on part of staff with ordering and filling requests for room as well as restaurants. Also disappointing and disrespectful lack of response upon our repeated efforts inquiring to book a larger room which was available on the website.
Difficulty accessing information from the room from the TV, such as the available services. We couldn’t access it…No room service menu, no info about the property

The staff and service was so good. The beach and the sea was amazing. Really good breakfast and dinner. Rooms are beautiful and very clean
I can’t find a fault.

The hotel has a lovely tranquil feel about it. The staff was really informative about places to visit and looked after us really well.
I liked everything about the property
5.0
The staff in the restaurant lacked the skill and experience expected. Lots of mistakes were made with our food orders. It was chaotic and the staff were incompetent. Other than that everything else about our stay was excellent.
The service from the restaurant staff.
4.5
The location is stunning with a beautiful beach and fantastic views. The hotel is immaculate and feels luxury. We had a hire car and so getting around was easy with plenty of nearby towns/ports to visit. I am not sure how public transport would be but taxis are extortionate (seemingly across Sardinia - we paid 47 euros for a 10-15 minute taxi). Walking is possible but the nearest small town with a small supermarket is well over an hour walking. Would recommend a hire car.
Breakfast was excellent quality with plenty of choice. Staff were very attentive and couldn't do enough to help. We ate at Gusto, the Michelin starred restaurant, on one evening and ate elsewhere the rest of the time. This was a superb restaurant and the food was exceptional. Expensive, as expected for a restaurant of this quality, but worth it if you want to splash out.
Very little to fault with the hotel or facilities. However the cost of drinks/extras is very high. This seems to be the case in many hotels in Sardinia from what we could see. We tended to be out and about during the day so didn't mind but if you planned to stay mainly within the resort, it could become very expensive.

The staff went above and beyond - we received a lovely room upgrade, and they made and brought us an entire cake when we celebrated a birthday! Everyone was kind and professional. The suite was spotlessly clean, well furnished and spacious. Beds were great, and having a coffee on the terrace in the morning was just lovely. Good breakfast. A nice beach is a short walk away, and a pool is available as well.
The spa - it was rather small and had an ice machine that emitted loud and unpleasant noise, so it wasn't really a place to relax.

Baglioni Sardinia is the epitome of 5-star service - from the moment we stepped off the transfer, we were treated with grace, friendliness and care. The staff's attention to detail and willingness to ensure that our stay was nothing short of spectacular is unmatched - we have stayed at many luxury resorts, and the closest we have come to this type of personal attention was at Diamonds Mequfi Beach Resort in Mozambique.
There are many instances of care and kindness we can recall - including the celebration of my birthday, the care with our dietary requirements, the set-up of room service when we ordered a meal, the prompt response to requests, the suggestions of places to visit and having meals at, helping us to track down the full set of biscuit tins for our collection and helping us stay comfortable, especially when I was feeling ill.
We have noted below the particular staff who we have interacted with most and who have made our trip memorable. Still, we recognise that service of this standard results from many excellent staff members who take pride in their work and are never seen by the guests.
Having said that, we want to extend our heartfelt gratitude to the following people:
Food and Beverage:
- Gaspare
- Alice
- Francesco
- Seringe
- Georgio (Gusto)
- Tamara (Gusto)
- Silvano (Gusto)
Front Desk:
- Matilda
- Tomaso
Concierge
- Federica
- Annalisa
Our only complaint is that this hotel is a 24-hour journey from home.

Beautiful property and rooms, great breakfast selection, friendly staff
- pets are “allowed” but not at the restaurant, bar, pool and beach
- service at breakfast was slow, had to ask several times before someone took our coffee order
- due to heavy rain there was an invasion of ants in our room

We were upgraded to a villa so that's one plus
Other than that the rooms are perfect, the breakfast is amazing and the private beach is perfection
Amazing hotel to spend a vacation in sardinia

The highlight of the resort is the beach BUT this is a PUBLIC beach, therefore you can stay somewhere else and still access the beautiful white sand beach without having to endure the Baglioni. The reception staff, especially Yulia were very friendly, professional and experienced.
My husband and I booked to stay in the Baglioni for 5 nights for our honeymoon. We had an awful experience and checked out after 3 days. The day we decided to check out (2 days earlier than originally planned), we went to reception to speak with the manager. The manager was disinterested in our feedback and offered to waive the penalty for leaving early if we promised not to write a review on booking.com. Obviously, I did not agree to this bribe and my full review can be found below:
The room was old fashioned and not well maintained i.e. mold in the shower, bad patching on the walls and insects all over the room. The bed and couch were both very old and very uncomfortable.
There are limited options for dinner, Ruia (fine-dining) and Sadler by Gusto (Michelin star). The Michelin star restaurant was closed during our stay. There are no other bars or restaurant nearby, there are no taxis available, and the resort is not serviced by public transit therefore without a rental car you are essentially trapped in Baglioni. The resort takes full advantage of this so charge eye-watering prices for the mediocre food and drink they serve; hummus appetizer €28, aperol spritz €20 and a coke €8. The quality and variety of food on offer did not match the price. Very repetitive menu for 5 nights. Some drinks at the pool bar were being charged at 30% more than the prices stated on the online menu.
There was disappointment at every opportunity. The breakfast service was chaotic with a 50-minute wait for eggs every morning that somehow managed to be uncooked when they reached the table, we had a complimentary massage performed by an inexperienced masseuse, and were offered very overpriced car transfers to the nearest town for dinner. These transfers were charged at €47 one way for a ~5km trip to San Teodoro. The bar and restaurant staff are not trained to a level you would expect in a 5 star resort. Baglioni seize every opportunity to charge you and overcharge you.

beautiful location, peaceful, food in the two restaurants was good. Reception and cleaning staff were friendly and helpful. Entertainment was great.
the service was hit and miss from the bar and restaurant staff - we ordered wine that never arrived, several mornings never had anyone approach at breakfast to take an order. Food in the bar was not good and really expensive - there are several nice restaurants a short walk away in the marina and also one at the end of the beach instead.
