Unique hilltop destination tucked up in the pine trees. Description was very accurate, the location was perfect for the sightseeing we wished to see; pretty centrally located. If you don’t want a location out in the middle of nowhere this may not be the site for you. Gravel road with hairpin turns to access it.. We loved it!

The cabin is perfect size with a lot of outdoor decks to enjoy the fresh air and gorgeous views!

Unique cabin in the woods. Hairpin curves and steep roads were a challenge to get there with a large pickup and trailer, good thing my husband is a trucker. We anticipated a few, but there were several. Bathrooms are small and got a little stuffy but loved the white fluffy towels! Bottom level was a little musty smelling.

We loved having a quiet, comfortable, relaxing place to return to at the end of a busy day. Very clean and really well stocked with bedding, towels, kitchen supplies, games, etc. The whole family loved sitting on the deck in the morning and the end of the day.

Such a welcome “retreat” after being a tourist! Loved the deck! Stargazing unparalleled! Grilling/eating on deck so relaxing!
Property so well maintained/had everything we could need/want. Highly recommend!

Nice unit. If you do have issues with stairs, this is not the unit for you.
Location. Very remote. Quiet. Private.
Well stocked with supplies. I brought items I did not need.
I would stay in this unit again if i was not going to be 60 next year.

Cabin was a nice place to stay, a bit secluded but worked fine for our family of 3. We didn't realize from the directions that it was so far up the mountain so we did spend a fair amount of time in the car during our stay to travel to our other activities. It didn't hamper our vacation, we just had to plan out a little more drive time. Daughter loved the spiral staircase and all the games. We had to do a game night just for her. We never used the bottom floor.

We had a great stay atop Eidelweiss Mountain. This is probably the cleanest vacation rental I’ve ever stayed at! Immaculate. Brenda is responsive without being intrusive.
This place is set up like a home, very cozy, with everything you need. The kitchen was really well equipped, with high end coffee maker and calphalon pans. Sometimes you stay at a VRBO and they don’t have a cutting board or the right knife - this kitchen has it all. The outdoor gas Weber grill is also wonderful.
On the top deck you’re eye level with the tops of the pine trees, which is what drew me to the property. The layout of the house with the spiral staircase, and having to go outside to get to the bottom level, is a little awkward but manageable for able bodied people. I did wish I had an intercom so I could call people up for dinner. LOL.
My kids loved all the games available, and this led to some family interaction after dinner in the evenings. We all appreciated the space to spread out after a long day of sightseeing - me in the kitchen, tween girl on the phone in the bedroom, teenage boy and his father watching football and playing video games in the basement.
It’s a bit of a drive from any direction. Even once you turn off the main road you have another 10 minutes twisting and turning on mostly gravel. We always rent places away from the fray, so this is fine for us, and especially typical in the beautiful black hills. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend!

The cabin was great. We loved that is was away from all the hustle bustle. Enjoyed eenong on the deck! Would definitely stay there again.

This house is very well stocked and the beds are comfortable. We appreciate all the extra touches the owner added to make it fell homey. The decks are lovely and we spent a lot of time outside eating and enjoying the view. Our family of six fit with some adjusting. The spiral staircase was tricky for my 75 year old mom. The basement, as noted in the description, is fully separate so it worked for teenagers but the sofa bed was not great for two full grown teenagers. They did like the gaming system there a lot. Overall, the location is central (takes about 10-15 minutes to get down the mountain to a main road) and we enjoyed The Black Hills immensely.

Loved the property. It was such a wonderful property tucked away in the tree tops. Enjoyed mornings and evenings on the deck befor and after a hard day of sight seeing and typical tourist activities.

We had a nice time staying on Edelweiss. It's about a 1 hour drive to Custer State Park, wind cave, and crazy horse.

The view was spectacular. The cabin was fully stocked with everything you could need. It was centrally located but away from the heavy tourist path. Everything was perfect.

This cabin was even better than we were hoping when we booked last year.
The location is perfect for exploring the Black Hills. It is off the beaten path just enough to feel the quiet of the Hills but also convenient enough that we were still able to take in attractions throughout the area. The directions on the site were perfect, and our GPS brought us there without trouble.
The furnishings are comfy, the kitchen is very well equipped, but our favorite aspect was the big balcony nestled in the pine trees. We ate breakfast and dinner out there every day of our stay and packed lunches for our daily excursions. The sun rises directly in front of the cabin making a perfect place for sipping coffee and welcoming the day.
Our boys (7 and 9) loved the landscape and played the games that were included in the cabin.
We did not use the bottom floor (with additional sleeping and bathroom) and the upper two floors were perfect for our family of four.
We are saving this location as a favorite and plan to use it again the next time we are in the Hills.

We were aware of the circular stairway but unaware that one couple’s bathroom was down on another floor and had to walk down flight of stairs OUTSIDE to access it. Coffee maker worked with much difficulty. Fry pan worked once. No dishwasher. Five miles of bumpy gravel road to get to place.

It was very peaceful and the views amazing. The 2nd bathroom is in the lowest level and you need to go outside and downstairs to get to it. Very challenging for people with mobility issues. Extra lighting would be helpful on the outside stairs. We made it work for our group. We had a relaxing time.

Secluded property, well maintained, & well stocked, with gorgeous views. Central to many attractions but it is more a place to relax and spend time with nature. It is supplied with pretty much everything you need for a couples' retreat.

Was a little hard to find at first. Made a wrong turn nothing like being on top of the world. What a site! Down the hill we go and found the right turn eventually. Cabin was great. Nice and quiet.Beautiful weather. Fishing and site seeing.

It’s a beautiful location. We loved the neighbors weren’t super close. And we were high enough on the mountain to have a view. We were even able to add an extra day. Loved the Black Hills.

The property is amazing with views like you would not believe. We had all of our meals on the deck and used the grill you furnished. My 19 year old boys enjoyed the lower levels and privacy. Thank you for a great trip.

Mountain hideaway
My husband said he could “hear cars in the distance but the birds were louder”. That’s what we want in a vacation. Serene ambiance, and a chance to decompress. We enjoyed the deck and the mild temps. It is a good location to visit all the sights. The stairs take getting used to. In our 60’s, I think that will be the last time we will book lodging with stairs. The rugs are always a nice touch, however, it might be good to change out the kitchen rug with backing to stick to the floor. I slipped a few times. I tripped on the other rugs positioned in the dining and living area. Other than that it is a unique cabin and we enjoyed our stay there.

Cozy
This location was a blessing, rented four months after another was booked for a family vacation. We had last minute family additions, and this cabin was one of only two available that fit our timeline AND it was just three minutes from the original location. It made hanging out and meeting up so much simpler.
The views and peaceful surrounding areas were wonderful. The house was well stocked with basics and had a good assortment of toys, games and movies.
Communication was very good.

Awesome Cabin in the Mountains!!
I can't say enough good things about this host and property! So many nice touches: comfy beds, soft sheets, luxurious towels, thick throw blankets for chilly nights, a well stocked kitchen. Good central location to reach all the sites. I highly recommend!

Awesome is the word I will use. Up in the tree tops. Awesome views. Quiet except for the cows which made us laugh alot! Great clean cabin with most items you could need. Just perfect for us!

Great stay and just as advertised
Perfect location to Hill city for a variety of activities. Sitting on the desk at night grilling dinner was perfect. Took a bit to get used to the path to the basement bathroom, but it was fine.

Home Away from Home
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the cabin. It was very comfortable and felt like we were “home”. The kitchen was well stocked….better than anywhere else we have stayed. It was centrally located for places we wanted to visit…..Mt Rushmore, Crazy Horse, Wind Cave, Custer State Park, just to name a few. Great rental!

Secluded but close to attractions
A great spot to get off the beaten path but remain close to all the attractions.

Great Views
Views were great. The only down fall we noticed was you had to go through someone's bedroom to go outside, downstairs and then back into the house to use the second bathroom and laundry. Besides that we were pleased with how secluded it was.

Black Hills Gold
Great place, very peaceful. We enjoyed the scenery and all the house in the hills has to offer. The cabin was spotless and had plenty of room for 5 of us, as well as 4 motorcycles, 2 vehicles and a trailer. I would recommend this house to anyone looking to go to the Black Hills.

Away from the crowds yet convenient.
Excellent place to hit all the area attractions. It’s a short drive to Crazy Horse, Mt Rushmore and Custer Park. I liked the house and it’s levels. We all had our privacy. I really enjoyed the top deck for coffee in the morning.
