We loved the location to multiple things to do. Super hosts! Super stay! Wonderful home!

Rick and Linda did not disappoint with the entire experience! Very clean and furnished with everything you need for a great vacation. Easy property to find and located in close proximity to many of the key destinations in Keystone and the Black Hills. We will definitely book this property again when returning to the area.

This was a great location for our trip to the badlands. Our 3 boys enjoyed the game room space as well as finding deer every morning and evening. Kitchen was useful and fully met all of our needs. Would stay gain

Our family of three stayed in Linda and Rick's charming rental. They were so kind and welcoming when we arrived, and the house was exactly as advertised! My 6-year-old son was tired from the long car drive and was so excited to play in the game room. The neighborhood was in the perfect location for all of our planned activities (centrally located). We loved watching the train roll by, which is only during daytime hours. We waved to the passengers as they went by, which my son loved. The view is spectacular from the patio. The house is fully stocked with whatever you could possibly need. I wish we had a little more down time at the house so we could do the puzzle and enjoy the surroundings even more. It was the perfect getaway, and we will definitely book again if we return!

Beautiful house looking down on 1880 tracks. My boys loved the game room! My wife and son finished the puzzle during our stay. (If you stay here, you will know what I mean). Rick and Linda are wonderful people and they have a great house in a great area. Thanks for everything!

Our family had a wonderful trip to the Black Hills/Mt Rushmore!!! A big part of what made it great was staying here!!! It was a home away from home for our stay. Close to everything and the game room, puzzle, fire pit, etc were awesome!! Owners thought of it all! Can't say enough about how great this home was. Stay here for your trip to South Dakota!!!

I didn’t realize until after booking that this was for a lower level of a home. Rick and Linda live above, and couldn’t have been more inviting and gracious. They gave us a tour of the space and it’s like they anticipated our every need. Fully stocked kitchen, welcome bags with extra items, even iced glasses in the freezer. Everything was so clean and fresh, not a speck of dust. They definitely take pride in their home. Our family of 4 had plenty of space and really enjoyed the game room and outdoor areas. Location is great, only 20min from the grocery store in Hill City and 5min from Keystone. We would definitely stay again and recommend to friends!

The rental was tucked away just a mile and half from the center of Keystone. Rick and Linda were amazing host and thought of all the little things. They helped with ideas for local eateries. They even helped with directions with the road closures. Would definitely recommend to others. When we come again we plan to stay with Rick and Linda!

Rick & Linda thought of every little thing that you would need to make their rental a home away from home. From the game room that we had a difficult time removing our kids from to go sightseeing, to the fully stocked kitchen, to the fancy Beautyrest bed with power head & foot rests, to the goody bags for smores and toiletries, to the puzzle table that I frequented in my spare time, we couldn't have asked for a more exceptional place to stay! The location was beautiful and convenient. We woke up our first morning to deer and turkeys right outside the door and enjoyed getting to wave at the train as it went by. Rick was also very kind and compassionate towards our son when he broke the door handle; he was only concerned about us enjoying our vacation. When we returned from dinner he already had the handle fixed! We can't say enough wonderful things about them and although some renters may shy away from having the hosts on site, we loved having them there and close by! They were incredibly hospitable. If we ever return to the area, this is the only place we'll stay. Thank you Rick & Linda for the perfect family-oriented retreat for us!

The location of this property is right in the heart of the Black Hills. Keystone is the place you want to be! The owners are great people and took great care of us in spite of a very minor issue. They are very caring and made fixing the issue a high priority. They made every effort to make sure we enjoyed our visit of 4 1/2 days. The property is very spacious and offers great accomodation all the way around with a lot of indoor entertainment options in case there is bad weather and you want to stay inside for a day or so. The washer and dryer worked very well and was handy for us to use. The kitchen is very nice and well maintained. We would definitely stay here again. It was a joy seeing the steam engine (1880 Train) roll by and the many deer in the immediate area. A very quiet area which made it nice for us.

This was a totally amazing home in the Black Hills! And the scenery was beautiful, as was the home. My husband and I are already trying to plan a trip back to stay here again! Linda and her husband have the most beautiful place with the little touches that make a HUGE difference in your stay. I would highly recommend!!!!!!

Rick and Linda’s property was exactly what we were looking for in our family vacation. The house had enough space for our family of four to spread out, have game night, make dinner when we wanted to. My kids absolutely loved the rec room, it was hard to pull them away from the air hockey table, arcade system etc.
The location was perfect (making it an easy drive to all of our destinations-Custer State Park, Mount Rushmore, Sylvan Lake, Spearfish, airport etc).
Rick and Linda were extremely responsive to any questions we had but also were very respectful to our privacy while we were on our family vacation.
Thank you for a wonderful stay. The Black Hills of South Dakota are truly breathtaking, I would strongly recommend staying here and checking out everything this area has to offer!

Rick and Linda’s home is beautiful and clean! The house is in the perfect location! We all enjoyed the game room, the ongoing puzzle, and of course the 1880 train rolling by! It was nice to come back to a peaceful home away from home after our daily adventures with kids. We would for sure stay again!

If our vrbo stay is the brand then y’all have knocked it out of the park. This was the best rental we have ever stayed in during a vacation. Cleanliness was off the charts, location could not have been better, check in smooth and if you are ever near the black hills Rick and Linda are the two to contact. Great vrbo!!

Rick & Linda were fabulous hosts. They greeted us upon our arrival and took the time to show us where everything was in the rental. The place was immaculate and we immediately felt comfortable and at home. They thought of everything! A gift bag of toiletry items was available if we had forgotten anything. Another gift bag containing the ingredients for s’mores was on the table, and we enjoyed them on the only evening when it didn’t rain while we were there. We enjoyed watching the deer graze nearby and the 1880 train going by the house during the day (no worries - it doesn’t run at night).
Rick & Linda gave us advice on where to start our exploration of the area which was greatly appreciated. We highly recommend Mangiamo’s in Hill City for dinner, Grapes & Grinds in Keystone for coffee, and driving the Needles Highway, Iron Mountain Road, and through the wildlife loop in the Custer State Park. Download the GuideAlong app and then purchase the Black Hills, Mt. Rushmore, and Badlands tour. It will be money well spent.
We hope to return to this charming VRBO. It’s fantastic!

We spent 5 nights in this roomy, very comfortable home, well-located for enjoying the Black Hills. We hated to leave! Our hosts had thought of everything: the fully-equipped kitchen had coffee, tea, Sweetener and creamer. Condiments were in the fridge, and thoughtful gift bags with ingredients for making s’mores outside using the fire pit were in place, along with basic toiletries one might have forgotten to pack. The place was very clean and felt like it had been recently done as a guest accommodation. We could drive a mile into Keystone or a little further to a larger town in the other direction. We did day trips to all the sights in the Black Hills including Deadwood, on the north side. There is nothing missing here! We recommend it highly.

Rick and Linda have a beautiful home and are the nicest couple. They met us outside when we arrived and made the check-in process quick and easy. The home was very clean and comfortably fit our family of 6. Our entire family enjoyed the game room throughout the stay. The welcome s'mores package was an unexpected treat for our kids, they loved sitting outside by the fire. Overall, staying here was a great experience. We would highly recommend it to anyone and hope to return in the future!

I highly recommend this rental. The home was clean and nicely decorated. The inside has everything you may need to have a flawless stay . The host , Rick and Linda had 2 greeting bags waiting for us . One had bath products, toothbrush, soap, toothpaste and the other was full of s’mores ingredients!
The kitchen had everything you may need to cook meals . There was pots and pans, plates and glassware and other cooking and kitchen equipment , speaking of glassware, Linda and Rick put glasses with ice in the freezer for our arrival on our long hot drive to the Black Hills.
The outside has a grill and a nice table set for outside meals and a firepit table for s’mores ( which Linda and Rick provided the ingredients) The properly is also a perfect place to stargaze on a crisp and clear night!
Rick and Linda were excellent host. They treated my husband and I like family, wanting us to be comfortable during our stay.
If you are in search of a rental , that you can do the tourist things and go back to to home base and relax , look no further than this amazing place! Book now and enjoy ! Simply said , this rental and host is perfect in every way!😊

Beautiful Getaway
This awesome property, nestled in the hills near Keystone, was fantastic! Convenient location provided access to Mt. Rushmore, Custer state park, and numerous other Black Hills destinations. The game room made it so the kids didn’t want to leave to see all of the outdoor highlights, but provided a relaxing game session in the evenings. The property was clean, had a full kitchen, laundry room, and plenty of space.

Fabulous Place for Black Hills Adventures!
Linda and Rick are amazing hosts! The location is so close to everything around Mt. Rushmore. Rick and Linda gave us a grand tour to acquaint us with the unit. Super clean and plenty of room to relax and not be cramped up with each other. We like to cook so it was great to see there were plenty of utensils and cookware. Everyone had fun playing the games and we worked a bit on the puzzle. We enjoyed the outdoor firepit and the s’mores goodie bag was a hit! You can really tell these hosts put a lot of thought for their guests into this unit.

Cozy, close to town, amazing hosts and all kinds of goodies. Kids enjoyed the game room and the firepit for smores. Adults enjoyed the spacious table and puzzle area. Plenty of room to stretch out. Superhost!
From our first communication with Linda and Rick until we left on our last day, our experience with this property and it's owners was nothing less than seamless and comfortable. We were in town for the Mt. Rushmore 1/2 marathon so proximity to the race was key for us in securing lodging. Discovering accommodations with amenities that felt like we were staying with family was an incredible bonus.
Linda welcomed us into the *immaculately* clean space with a detailed tour. Every possible thing one would need was provided for, and then some! The care and intentionality put into creating a relaxing, inviting space was obvious- the choice to be a VRBO host is something truly enjoyed by the homeowners.
We weren't "home" too much during our time in Keystone (so much exploring to do!) but it was lovely to come back at the end of an exhausting day of hiking to a warm, relaxing space and just chill out. We can't wait to visit the area again and stay with Rick and Linda.

Great Property - Great Location
The property was very clean and was everything the listing said it was going to be!! It was so nice to come back "home" after spending the day out sightseeing. The welcome baskets were such a nice treat and the house had everything you could need to make yourself feel at home. Our check-in process was easy and it was great to meet Linda and Rick. They answered all of our questions and were there if we needed them for anything. We enjoyed the game room and a fun game of pool at the end of the day. The location of the property was perfect, as there is so much to see and do in the Black Hills. We enjoyed seeing the Crazy Horse Memorial and Mt. Rushmore; we loved Custer State Park and renting ATVs right at the end of the road. However, our favorite spot on the trip was our visit to the Badlands - definitely a must see!! We hope to be back in this area again some day and would definitely love to stay here again!!
