Check in and check out were smooth, we could pay by card. The room was big enough for backpackers. There wasn’t many people so the shared bathroom wasn’t crowded. There are toilets and small kitchen on every floor. You can go to the roof with a nice view to enjoy some beer.
The futon was too firm for me but nicely warm.
4.1
Close to station. Very helpful staff, organised luggage transfer and early morning breakfast to take away.
Great communication via email
I found the futon too thin and uncomfortable, but that's just me!
No showers which was unexpected but had a nice public bath.

a very traditional Japanese style room and Japanese style breakfast too which is a different experience from staying in a hotel. near the train station to Alpine Route
the heater doesn’t work very well.

Great location and convenience for us. The “waka-okami” was very kind and accommodating. The hot spring bath is very relaxing. We stayed for 5 nights, and were there a few years ago also.

it is located very close to Shinano-Omachi station, less than 5mins walk even with big luggage. The staffs were friendly, and the shared bath was open all night.

Family run, simple and cozy, ryokan close to Omachi station. A good place to stay on the way to the Alpine route. They offer a service directly from the ryokan to forward your luggage to Toyama station (¥2.500 piece). Very kind and nice staff

near shinano omachi station. recommend if you want to go to tateyama kurobe alpine route early morning. if you want to go one way from nagano to toyama, this place is also providing luggage forwarding service.

Good location.
The host is friendly.
It is a budget hotel.
Big area for car parking.
4.1
Basic amenities were available.
Staff were cooperative to help out late check in.
Of course I booked the hotel during so called high season I.e. golden week 2021 in Japan. However, to start with this is not worth the money I spent.
First, it lacks basic amenities like big towel, air con remote was not provided in rooms etc.
to be honest, for the first time I felt pretty average amenities in a Japanese hotel room.
Secondly, price doesn’t justify though not very sure how rates shapes up during golden week but certainly not worth the money I spent.

Pleasant host. Location was within walking distance to train station.
Hostel-like. As no bath towels were provided in the rooms, felt bad as we had to disturb the host late at night.
4.1
Close to the train station and bus stop to Alpine Kurobe with a supermarket across the road. The host has maintained the place well, room, bathroom, hot tub are sparkling clean. There is a luggage forwarding service so it saves the hassle of bringing to the station.
The pillow was a little hard for me.
