Lovely old farmhouse, converted to a pub/restaurant/hotel - now hidden away in a housing estate. Our second time of staying there.
Great staff, especially Simon - who seemed to be everywhere, doing everything; also young lad (forgotten his name) who served our evening meal.
Great evening meal and breakfast.
Thank you all for a pleasant stay.
Have stayed in two separate rooms, which are good - but, being an old building, can be quite dark.
There only seemed to be one older (sorry!) lady cleaning the rooms, so she was a bit pushed to do full cleans - suggest, that when a room is not booked, a better deeper clean is carried out, e.g. get rid of accumulated dust on wall lights, etc.
Car park needs tidying up.
Overall, didn't detract from our stay.

A gem in the middle of suburbia.
The shower water pressure was about the only thing we’d fault.

Good people, clean room, simple facilities.
Large car park.
Pet friendly.
Easy to find.

Great breakfast. Nice rooms, and very friendly staff!

Breakfast was great
Our family room was mistakenly given to another guest and we were given a very large room and a zbed was made up while we waited, the room felt damp with only a small electric radiator that was inadequate for the space, the central heating was was turned off. We had to run the heater on full all night just to take the chill off.

Great location for staying in the Honiton area. Tesco just up the road and 5 mins drive from town centre.
Room was a bit musty and could have been cleaner. There were roadworks scheduled directly outside the property during our stay, and management / staff had no idea this was happening. This wasn't communicated prior to us arriving. Access to the hotel was blocked for several hours on one day.

Amazing the room was really big. fresh towels and bedding, and the room was lovely and warm.
Jim, the manager, was so helpful, and Michael, who served our evening meal, was so pleasant that he is an asset to the place.
As for the breakfast, it was so hot with lovely hot plates, and what a selection.
We have booked again for Nov.
Liked everything

We only eat a light breakfast and what was available was more than sufficient. However we ate our main meal there each day and the fare was excellent.
Nothing.

Very big double room , very quiet, windows you can open , nice double bed. Fab breakfast. Really friendly staff.
I requested a room that had not housed dogs , the room itself was very clean, but the stairs definitely smelled doggy , this is unavoidable and I do understand it’s a dog friendly hotel. although the area was spotless and refreshed I’m very sensitive and I did find it off putting.

If you cant sleep in room 5, dont worry just wait for client in room 4 to turn on bathroom fan, the fluctuating drone will be so annoying any thought of sleep will disappear. You could also be treated to listening to them fart, flush and shower.
Bar menu 90% microwavable and tastes like it. Room service Gin and 'tonic' served in a wine glass. Tonic was actually soda. Stayed in 15 hotels in 12mths. This was way below par.

friendliness of the staff
on the last day(morning of our leaving ) when going down for breakfast advised by note on door to inform us that breakfast would not be served due to lack of staff not even able to get cereal and tea/coffee ,therefore started our journey home without any sustenance.

Excellent room, clean, comfortable and well presented, very good value . A good menu selection for evening meal at reasonable prices.
No chef for breakfast, in fact no staff at all in the morning for check out which spoilt the previous good evening. This could of been due to illness or bad weather, but no reason was given.
