This is an exceptional B&B.
The setting is a lovely home, our room was perfect with a nice sofa to relax on, extra provisions daily with home made cake and gorgeous tea set and other nice touches.
We definitely got more than we expected, with a delicious breakfast, seasonal fruit and homemade jam and marmalades.
Our hosts were friendly and helpful - with dinner recommendations and ideas for local walks.
We highly recommend - you won't be disappointed.

Very welcoming. Excellent location. Great breakfast choices and the "special extras" such as fresh milk for tea/coffee in our room and home baked cakes were much appreciated by us.

Breakfast was wonderful. We were particularly impressed with the fruit platter. The full English was delicious too, freshly made and served hot. The whole house is beautifully furnished and kept immaculately. Situated in a lovely garden, it's about a 10 minute walk to the High Street area, with a short but steepish hill up on the return. There are plenty of options to eat out in the High Street area.
Our hostess, Catherine, was delightful and was a source of all sorts of local information.

Generous hospitality tray in bedroom, homemade cake and tea on arrival.
Excellent breakfast, nicely presented with home-made jams and marmalades.
Served in conservatory as preferred not to share large table with other visitors because of Covid.
Large, nicely furnished room with comfortable twin beds.
House beautifully furnished, interesting and attractive art work and lots of extra touches.

We were welcomed by Kathryn, who showed us our room. Then brought us tea and cake in conservatory which was very nice.
We stayed for 3 nights. Each day we came back and there was a piece of cake waiting for us in our room. We had the use of a fridge in hall, where we could get fresh milk each day for our room. These little touch were lovely.
Breakfast was great with a lovely choice of fresh fruit plater & full English. Nothing was to much trouble.

Breakfasts were first rate. Plenty of choice, delicious 'Full English" with top quality bacon, sausage offered spelt toast which I enjoyed. I don't usually eat jam but had to try one of the home made marmalades which was lovely.
Only small comment - the bed side light wasn't ideal for reading.

The breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice. It was a very good idea to ask us to choose from the menu the evening before. We loved the delicious fruit, so beautifully sliced and presented, and served with orange juice, a smoothie and yoghurt. There was a lot of choice of cereals too. We both really enjoyed the main course too, especially the scrambled egg & smoked salmon and the traditional cooked breakfast. Many thanks for my gluten free toast and the delicious home made marmalade!

This was without doubt the best B & B we have ever stayed in. Every need had been catered for at the highest standard and our hosts Kathryn and George were lovely. Thank you.

Incredibly well maintained house and gardens. Could not blame anybody for just wanting to hang out in the garden.
Breakfast has a good selection and timely serving, everything makes its way to your plate at the right temperature. The English breakfast is way over the one you may know from other BnB-s: the quality, way of serving, even the portion control felt just perfect. The oat bake is heartily recommended.
Room service is also excellent, and the room was always stocked with every item one could need during their stay.
The hosts, Kathryn and George really go over and beyond in every aspect of the job: to create the perfect environment, food, and experience for you. They make you feel comfortable and well looked after.
Covid safety was done in an almost seamless way: guests were separated into multiple breakfast slots and areas, masks and distancing were in place - well done!

There was a good choice for breakfast, and what I had was plenty. I enjoy a cooked breakfast when I am away. It was easy to walk into Budleigh and not to far from other attractions.
I was very comfortable there and made very welcome.
