About this apartment rental
A very short ride to Times Square, one of the first stops after crossing the Lincoln Tunnel and very convenient for visiting Manhattan. The apt is closer to Midtown Manhattan, Times Square, the Theater District, Madison Square Garden, Grand Central, the Empire State Building, Saint Patrick's Cathedral, and Rockefeller Center than staying in some parts of Manhattan, closer than Jersey City, most parts of Queens, Brooklyn and way closer than the Bronx. The location is also blessed by being across the street from a small mall with a 24/7 supermarket, convenient stores and nearby restaurants.
It is large, private, with a bedroom, dinning room, bathroom and extra large Living room. It has lots of sunlight and is well appointed located on the 2nd floor of the house. The living room has a sofa, chair, an LCD TV and a day bed which sleeps 2, an air-mattress can be provided to accommodate a fifth person. The bedroom has a queen-size bed, a night table, wardrobe and a closet. The Kitchen/Dining room has a small refrigerator, an induction heat plate, microwave, large convectional toaster and a coffee machine. If you're planning to prepare a lot of meals for yourself during your stay please note that the kitchen does not have a sink. This doesn't bother most guests that come to NYC to be out and explore the food of NYC.

Great location near grocery stores, buses into Manhattan, and charming neighborhood. Host was accommodating and helpful. Comfortable stay with easy access to NYC.

This location is fantastic. Across the street from grocery store and laundromat. Great access to busses into Manhattan, and a fantastic bagel shop within a few blocks.
We never got an email telling us how to get into the unit. We got an automated one with the address, but that was it. I did reach out to the Manager via Vrbo chat and an email the day before but it wasn’t until I phoned long distance while standing on the doorstop, that I was actually sure I had a place to stay. We did email while we were there, once about the smoke detector going off and then asking what the procedures were to check out, because I wanted to make sure we did all the cleaning and prep that we were supposed to. Those were never replied to either . The bed was comfortable, and the kitchen had had an upgrade from when we booked, so that was a lovely surprise.

We were very please with the location of this apartment. Located 2 houses from the bus stop that takes you directly to the New York Port Authority bus station, we had no trouble navigating. At the port Authority, you can walk to time square and theaters, or catch the subway or new york busses. Right across the street is a small mall with a grocery store, liquor store, take out restaurants and other conveniences. This is also where you'll park with the parking pass provided to you. The neighborhood is very safe, lots of eateries and shops within walking distance. I messaged Emilio a few times before and during our trip for advice on how to navigate to certain places, and to see if early check-in was possible since we arrived from Kentucky a few hours earlier than expected, and he was very accommodating and helpful. The apartment had everything needed and was charming with all the comforts of a home. Don't think twice about booking this place. More than worth the money! Thank you Emilio, our trip was wonderful.

Emilio was a great host and we could not have found a better location. All the amenities we could ask for nearby; just a few blocks from a beautiful view of Manhattan and a quick bus ride to Time Square.
Great home away from home!

Great rental!
This was a delightful place to stay! The apartment was clean and comfortable. My daughter and I felt very safe here and enjoyed walking around the neighborhood. Dinner at Garbonzo Grill (.1 mile away) was wonderful.
This was our first time visiting; Emilio was very attentive and extremely helpful! The walk to Hamilton Park is easy and also delightful—the skyline view is well worth the short walk.
It was very easy to take the NJ transit bus to NY!

I have a copy and pasted my text to this property owner after our stay here... I really feel it says it all:
“If we could leave a 10 ⭐️ review we would, Emilio.
We are so grateful we decided on your place.
Ironically, my wife and I liked it and made the first down payment before I realized how far away from downtown it was, as soon as I realized it was on the other side of the Hudson, I immediately felt stupid for not checking first. Well it was fate, because after the first day, we were so grateful to have a peaceful, quiet, and SAFE apartment to stay in, where we could SO CONVENIENTLY run across the street to get ANY supplies to recuperate and prepare for the next day. And best of all, we could still hit a dozen or more walk-in eateries within a couple of blocks radius.
After staying at your place, I can’t believe I was even contemplating where I was insisting we stay, just because of distance to Times Square... 🤮
I’d like to think that the places we visited made our vacation worth while, but truly, it was your apartment and your suggestions that made our vacation worth while.
Even to the point, a few times, the kids just wanted to come back early and relax in the living room and watch movies together!
Everything you suggested was spot on. Right down to which buses and travel services to use.”
In summary, I was reluctant to stay 20 minutes from Times Square, just because I didn’t want to worry about bus rides on top of all the other stuff I’d have to worry about, having my family in NY for the first time, when in actuality, it was exactly what we needed. I will recommend this place to everyone I ever hear talk about wanting to go to NY. Emilio’s place is perfect, hands down, and Emilio himself is a very kind and compassionate person, who has your best interests always as a top priority.
THANKS EMILIO!!!!!!!

Great location an good value
As others already posted, the connection to midtown manhattan is convenient and quick. There are plenty of shops and restaurants nearby. The communication with the renter was also very good.

Great space! Close to everything we needed!
The apartment was super cute and had plenty of room! Our host was extremely helpful and responded to our needs immediately. Great location and convenient to bus stop, restaurants and groceries. The only negative was the radiator heat. They were a little noisy and we got a little chilly at night. Would recommend this place for a great stay for anyone!

Mi estadía en New Jersey

Very nice holidays
Emilio is a lovely host who did everything to make our stay confortable.
The appartment is only 15 minutes by bus from the bus terminal on W8av and 42st.
There is the fabulous view on the skyline , 5 min walk.We recommand strongly.
Still, there is no sink in the kitchen so cooking is difficult

Great place
The property was nice and clean. Convenient to lots of great restaurants, the bus stop and Hamilton Park which is a must walk to!!! Beautiful sights from there & we were lucky enough to watch fireworks on the Hudson from there, spectacular. We had trouble navigating NJ transit after 10pm but figured it out, your phone and apps are your best friend while visiting. This location is close to the city & was perfect for us!!!

Absolute Buchungsempfehlung!!

STAY HERE....YOU'RE A FOOL IF YOU DON'T
This place was perfect for our needs. The only bad was the kitchen is very sparse, not even a sink which made cleaning up after cooking very cumbersome. That said, we would toast bagels in the morning at the apartment, then have lunch in the city and eat something simple at night back in the apartment, usually Subway sandwiches or something we bought from the 24 hour supermarket across the street. That, BTW, is one of the great things about this place. Right across the street is a 24 hour supermarket, a Subway, a Chinese food place, a liquor store, a Dunking Doughnuts, etc. It was very convenient.
Transportation into the city is a piece of cake. Steps out the front door of the apartment is a bus stop for the NJ Transit Authority. Take bus 156 for $3.50 one way and you are at the Port Authority Bus terminal in Midtown in 15 minutes, which is only 3 blocks from Times Square. The bus terminal also has a subway station underground where you can catch the subway to anywhere in the city. Learn the Subway is my recommendation if you are not already familiar. It is the way to get around in NY. Buy the MetroCard for $35 and ride the subway unlimited for 7 days. Also, buy a 5 day block of tickets while at the port authority for the 156 bus for getting back and forth to the Apartment. Otherwise you will need to stand in line at the ticket window everytime, or hassle the Kiosk. The driver only takes cash riding from the apartment stop into the city, from NY back to NJ you need to buy tickets.
Don't forget to walk the few block to BLVD EAST and checkout the awesome view of NYC, well worth it and it's free.
The 156 bus runs about every 20 mins except on weekends. On Sundays it's only once an hour but the 166 and 165 run regular schedules on the weekends. It's about a quarter mile walk to the bus stop at Highwood Ave and JFK Blvd East where you can catch them. Use Google maps for an extremely informative and very detailed depiction of both the NYC Subway and the NJ Transit buses, Just click on the little public transportation icon in the google maps app.
Enjoy your stay, we had a great 5 days and this lovely and very convenient little apartment in Union City NJ.

Clean, bright, and spacious
What a charming apartment! My friend and I stayed for 4 nights over the Thanksgiving weekend, and it was perfect for us. It was very clean, and more than big enough for two people. Emilio was welcoming and professional - he met us the night we got in, even though our bus was delayed and it was getting late. Be aware that the kitchen doesn't have a stove or oven - it does have a hot plate, microwave, and toaster, so it was no problem for us, but don't plan to cook a three course meal here. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and would highly recommend!

The most amazing place to stay close to the city.
Emilio's place was so amazing. The place is absolutely beautiful and so close to the city! We went for a couples getaway and it was the perfect place to stay. It can't get any better than this.
