Everything. Very comfortable
The view from the window but that can’t be helped and did not affect the holiday at all

The hotel was spacious, clean and the staff were lovely. We had a king room with a sea view. The room was lovely, the bed was huge and comfortable. The view was amazing. The food was lovely. 10 minute walk to town. Lovely stay. We will definitely go back.
There was nothing we didn’t like.

Staff appeared unhappy, breakfast food was of poor quality and a number of staff appeared miserable

Reception and bar/ breakfast , all nice
The room we were allocated was in a annexe , so we had to walk through the car park to the bedroom ( in the rain) . Disappointing as didn’t know it wasn’t all in the lovely building as you see from the front. The room was big and comfortable though. Our night was spoilt by a child in the room above running and launching themselves off the bed I presume. Shame on who ever the parent/ parents are. Went on for over two hours, thought the ceiling was going to cave in.

1st class service by friendly and professional staff, immaculately clean in the room, bathroom and common areas. Fairly recently redecorated to a high standard. Tasty and plentiful breakfast again served by excellent staff.
Bathroom was a little small - unsure if this is typical or just because a corner room. Gym was closed on our visit for what I assume was maintenance /refurbishment but plenty of beautiful areas for a run.

Nice location.
Gym and pool were closed, which was very annoying. If we’d known this we would have gone elsewhere. Breakfast was overpriced and lukewarm. Had to change rooms as it was so noisy.
4.0
The selection of food.
For the cost of our stay the room was smaller than expected. There was a Tasimo machine in the room but the cops would not fit. The sink in the bathroom was very noisy when the water was emptied away. The room was not worth any more than £150. Breakfast was good, but, how the heck do you charge a service charge for self service! Add £12 for parking and it makes for a very expensive stay at a hotel that does not reach the standards of other hotels we have stayed at. We will not be staying again

The small cottage rooms are really lovely with sea views.
Parking can be an issue. Like any city centre hotel the car park is tiny. There is free parking in the surrounding streets but you take your chances to find a spot.

Good location, friendly staff
VERY dated rooms, cold, broken items, needs a full refurbishment. Not good value for money
4.0
Nice location
Room very dated, wash basin cracked. Shower leaked & in general the whole place needs some maintenance.

Good choice of breakfast, staff were all excellent
Bathroom floor needed upgrading , towels had holes in them and dust on shelves and on top of sockets in bedroom

Good location, nice bar and restaurant. Has a pool we didn’t get to use.
Room was located in separate block so had to walk out of main hotel across car park to the lift (no stairs). Parts look run down noticed several maintenance workers. Few little touches that would have felt 4*, no glasses/cups in bathroom, 4 night stay no clean sheets. Staff polite but didn’t go out of their way to make you feel welcome, too many changing shifts so didn’t remember speaking to you. Car parking is not easy. Understandable it’s a prime location so you pay to park but cannot always park at hotel. If you want to use pool on warm day go early so as not to miss out, was full with guests with children.

Great location
Reception Staff not working with housekeeping at all. Very poor communication with them .
Sorry to say but two Male receptionist didn’t smell very present. It was hard to stand by the desk
4.0
- very good location
- decent room size
- access to a garden if you are in one of the cottages
- kids enjoyed outdoor heated swimming pool
- some strangers walked into one of our rooms in the middle of the night, even though the door was locked!
- rooms are not very clean
- bathrooms are pretty smelly and moldy, especially in the cottages
- rooms could do with a refurbishment
- on-site parking is full, so had to park in a public car park for more than double the price
- many things you would expect from a 4-star hotel, such as slippers or bath robes, were absent
- shampoo and conditioner dispensers were empty
- breakfast was made from cheap ingredients
- they advertise a large indoor swimming pool which has actually been closed since COVID
- some of the reception staff seem clueless
- checkout is advertised as noon online, but is in fact 10 am, which makes the morning very rushed

Great location and the pregnant member of staff at reception is very nice and helpful! I unfortunately forgot her name.
We found someone’s dirty sock in our room!! This was obviously left by a previous guest which makes us believe that there rooms aren’t being cleaned up to the standards!! Also room 148 in the Dorchester wing the faucet wasn’t working.
When checking out I left the reception staff know about the dirty sock and the faucet and one member of staff a middle aged blond Easter European lady was so rude beyond belief and dismissed my complaints!! We will be back in Bournemouth on Sunday and we will be staying elsewhere as we were extremely disappointed with the whole experience. It’s just not worth it

The sea view
Breakfast was cold and mushrooms looked and tasted raw. Scrambled eggs cold. Guy cooking wasn’t very polite when my husband asked for fried eggs. Cups at table were dirty. Salt and pepper pots old and didn’t work well. Room wasn’t great cobwebs in the entrance, bathroom dirty grout needed a good clean. No sugar in the pot for tea. Lamp by bed didn’t work. Water leaked in the window. Not very impressed at all. Well over priced for what it was.

Staff was lovely,
Bed was comfy
Ideal location
The only fault was breakfast, most of the hot food was empty and I gave up waiting after going up 3 times

Nice and quiet hotel close to seaside. Delicious food in the restaurant in Mariott hotel. Very clean place I highly recommended this hotel.

The location of the hotel is great and the hotel in general is in good condition with friendly staff to help. The facilities for hotel guests are also good.
Unfortunately our entire trip was ruined by the location of our room and other guests. We were in room 018 which is between the stairs and the lifts. Every night we had people outside our room making noise and children running up and down the stairs and above our room until two or three am the next morning.
Not sure if it is just that room but it unfortunately ruined our stay. What was meant to be a relaxing weekend ended up a being a weekend of no sleep.

Stayed here for a birthday night out in Bournemouth. Good location, cheap taxis to the main night life area.
Free parking in the hotel, just make sure you register your car.
Rooms were good for what we needed it for.
Cheap and cheerful.
Hotel couldn’t check us in until approx 18:30, we got 20% back on the room, but this really messed up our plans meaning due to our booked reservations we didn’t get into our room until gone midnight due to having non-changeable things booked.
However we were pre warned by a few days, but we would have never booked if we knew check in was o late as the 20% was no good to us around our plans.

Excellent position and views over the sea were superb.
Charging guests for parking & internet, and including a service tip for meals was off-side.

Fantastic views and very good restaurant
No draw space no coat hooks

Location sea view is priceless. Breakfast, the chalet style
No espresso for free in the breakfast, bath while I prefer shower trays

Wonderful location with fantastic views out to see and along the coast.
We had an issue between Booking.com and the hotel where Booking (proven by a screenshot I took) had said breakfast was included in the price but the hotel said it did not. It was solved relatively quickly by the hotel granting complimentary breakfast which we are hugely grateful they did. It was embarrassing for us to have to argue our case for ten minutes in public view but the manager on that day did sort it out. Thank you.

Location
Walking outside to get to your room and creaks on floor board almost every where your walking. Room was good and no noise while walking.
4.0
The hotel is located right on the front and a close walk to the the Pier. Staff were great, very welcoming. The room had recently been refurbished to a high standard and what is most important to me, the bed was super comfy.
Creaky floorboards in the room but very hard to avoid this given the age of the hotel. The walk to the rooms, we were given two options we choose the route across the car park which was a little odd.
4.0
The room is decent, with a comfy bed and very nice bathroom.
Staff is nice and was really helpful to us.
The restaurant is ok for dinner and mostly ok for breakfast.
However, it is noisy as you can hear every step of the people who live above. The floors are made of wood so is making a lot of noise. Overall, the hotel looks a little outdated, except for the bathrooms.
Also, there is a big issue with the parking, as there are not enough spaces to accommodate all the cars, so we had to park our car a bit far off from the hotel.
Some things in the restaurant are also not on the Marriott level. The coffee they are serving for breakfast(the standard one), I think it's the same one it is served in the army. Very, very poor quality! So we had to order some extra coffee and pay for it.
Overall, the price you pay for the value you are getting is not quite reasonable. If it was like 40-50% cheaper, maybe it would have been great!

Great location, comfortable stylish hotel
Very expensive for size of the room and there was no milk in the room for tea and coffee and it took ages to get some delivered to the room.
4.0
The location is brilliant, particularly if you are going to an event at the BIC like I was. Room was spacious and comfortable - windows did not really open but that was okay as the room has aircon. Big comfortable bed and the room was very quiet. I didn’t have breakfast or any food so cannot comment on that.
I would have liked a bath for the price but the shower was nice. Breakfast was very expensive on top of the room price, so I gave it a swerve!

Never had breakfast
Location of rooms
Upgraded and was put into basically a cabin out of the way
Upgraded to a sea view
Very poor view of the sea
Reminded me of the fawlty towers sketch

The staff we met were all very good. The facilities in the hotel we really enjoyed - swimming pool, location to the beach, tennis court, excellent restuarant and bar.
As we were a family, it was disappointing and inconvenient at times that we could not be accommodated near each other despite requesting it. One of our rooms was very small for the price - I feel like a discount to the advertised price should have been offered because of it. It was drastically different in size to the other room we were given.

Absolutely nothing.

Room was lovely and clean very comfy
Breakfast was awful for 17.50 I would expect the breakfast to be cooked fresh not buffet, the bacon was all stuck together in able to separate looks like it had been cooked the day before, the sausages were small and tasteless, and the fact that I served myself and I was charged a service charge, had my breakfast out the next morning which cost 12.50 and was cooked fresh not charged service charge x I left my own tip
