About this house rental
Our beautiful Maine lakefront getaway offers all the modern conveniences in a traditional camp-style three bedroom home on the shore of pristine Sabbath Day Lake, a 1.5 mile lake in the Sebago Lakes region.
Enjoy beautiful sunsets and stunning views of the lake from our two decks, living room, kitchen and master bedroom. We have a master bedroom upstairs with king-size bed and private bathroom, a bedroom on the ground floor with queen-size bed and private bathroom, and a loft area upstairs with two single beds.
We have a private beach area and a shared private beach with nearby homes. Enjoy swimming, fishing, canoeing, kayaking or just sit back and listen to the loons and look for our bald eagles. Modern conveniences include a/c, dishwasher, wi-fi, washer/dryer, microwave, 50-inch TV, small office space. Newly renovated kitchen and bathrooms.
You’ll never want to leave the camp, but if you do, we are just 24 miles from Portland, 17 miles from Freeport, and minutes from the Maine Wildlife Park, Sabbathday Lake Shaker Village, Pineland Farms, and the Oxford Casino. We are also just minutes away from golf courses, shopping and restaurants.

We had a lovely stay! The house was just right and the lake was beautiful

We enjoyed our time at Sabbathday Lake. Great Lake view with kayaking. Saw an eagle and loons. Great ice cream on the other side of the lake. Nice clean accommodations. Would highly recommend.

Compact cottage with everything you might need and more. Plenty of towels and extra supplies. The beach is shady and the water is nice and shallow for small children.
We especially appreciated the air conditioning upstairs and downstairs and the both the king and queen beds were very comfortable. Our hosts were quick to answer our questions about the fishing tackle and we loved seeing the hummingbirds on the window feeder.
A nice bonus was the $10 lobster rolls from nearby Hannaford and our daughter in law got to see a moose for the first time at the Maine Wildlife Center.

We had a wonderful stay during our trip to Maine. The house is beyond stocked with all that you need for your week - beds were comfy and the view of the pond from the master bedroom was stunning. Great location to day trip to Freeport and Portland.

The camp itself and sleeping quarters were very nice with all the amenities.
Issues we noticed…
No cupboard space for food as cupboards were full.
No beach area on the lake.
No view from deck.
Pitch on all deck furniture.
Lower deck was overgrown and not clean which I personally cleaned up.
Trash bins were full when we arrived. Owner did have them emptied.
The pictures provided were very deceiving and did not represent the view.

Great stay in Jerry and Robyn’s cabin on a quiet lake. Enjoyed evening kayak and proximity to Portland, Freeport, the animal park and the Shaker Village. Hosts incredibly helpful and responsive.

We had a wonderful stay here. The hosts were extremely responsive to our questions and responded immediately. The home was very clean and had everything you could possibly need, and then some. There was comfortable seating in the living areas and the beds were also very comfortable. It would be awesome if there were less tree cover in the back so the view of the lake was more clear. But sitting on the dock was a beautiful view. Neighbors kept to themselves. The hosts kept a great binder of places to visit / restaurant recommendations in the area and we relied heavily on that when looking to venture out. The Maine wildlife park was amazing. My daughter loved it. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

Our family had a wonderful stay at Camp Serenity. Communication with the Silverman's was top-notch and the property is exactly as described. It had the best stocked kitchen out of all the rentals I've stayed in and the HOA beach access was perfect. I would highly recommend this place and chances are, we will be back.

The location was perfect, we specifically wanted to stay on Sabbathday Lake (SO clean!). Everything was smooth, both check-in and out. We were pleasantly surprised by how fully stocked the rental was, from plenty of towels to everything you could think of in the kitchen. The tiniest of things but we couldn't find any trash bags, no worries at all, we left a couple for the next guests!
The owners obviously have thought of everything for their guests, thank you!

Property was exactly as described/depicted in the ad and communication with the owner was superb. We had such an amazing week at this super clean, well stocked beautiful home! Crystal clear lake front right out the back door and anything you could possibly ask to do within a 30 min or less drive. Would absolutely recommend this property to anyone that asks!

Everything we needed to enjoy the lake (kayaks, canoe, life jackets, fishing poles) and close to Portland and Cape Elizabeth for excursions. Also enjoyed strawberry picking and hiking at nearby Pineland Farms. Highly recommend!

Great place with a well stocked home. The lake is beautiful. While outside, the road is noisy except at night. It has its own kayaks and canoe, life jackets and fishing gear.

We came to Maine as a family to celebrate the life of our mother who recently passed. She loved to travel and experience new things and would have adored the lovely lake and cottage. It was fantastic and I recommend it to everyone.

This cottage is well provisioned and a pleasure to stay . Clearly a lot of thought has gone into making guests feel welcome and comfortable. The lake is warm, well done Jerry. Grandkids really enjoy staying at this property. Activities and shopping close by. the only problem is having to leave after two weeks. Thanks again.

Sabbathday Lake was beautiful, and the kayaks and canoe made experiencing it simple and fun for all of us. The area was very convenient to both the Sebago Lake area and the Portland area - less than an hour to both. The house itself was very nice. We especially liked the deck and dock areas for sitting out, eating meals, and looking at the lake.

My husband and I just spent the most relaxing week at this property on Sabbathday Lake. We enjoyed coffee outside each morning on the dock or the upper deck, we cooked dinner on the grill a few nights, and bought lobsters and steamers at the Fisherman's Net in Gray to cook at the house. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed, and more.
The lake is very peaceful, and while the house is close to neighbors we did not see a lot of activity. Those neighbors that we did see were very friendly. The house is clean and the beds are very comfortable, and our host was quick to respond to questions. We would definitely recommend this place and would not hesitate to stay there again. Overall, we had a great week! Thank you Jerry and Robyn for opening up your home to us!

Perfect Getaway
We had a wonderful time at this property. The house sits on the south side of the lake and enjoys a nice breeze off the water. We swam right in front of the house and at the community beach 2 properties away. The water was warmer than we anticipated it would be. The house itself is wonderful. There was plenty of room for the 5 or 6 people we had there, depending on which adult child was coming by. If you forget something, don't worry, they probably have it somewhere in the house.
We will definitely be back again. In closing; you have to go to the ice cream place at Outlet Beach..it is amazing and check out NU Brewery in New Gloucester, especially if you happen to be there for one of the Fridayfests.

Cozy and
Overall a cozy stay. There were plenty of supplies — everything one could think of. LOTS of dishes, pots/pans, etc. LOVE IT!!! The Wi-Fi could definitely be better, but it may be just the area. And, apparently “a thing” for this area to dispose of your own trash at the local dump (~3 miles away). We were just 2 adults, but the stairs are steep… would put a gate at top for safety.. This was our first trip to Maine… love the weather, house was nice overall, and our stay was enjoyable. The area is very quiet! The neighbors were friendly too! Thank you.

Lake Like a Mirror
Jerry and Robin's house is tastefully updated, clean, comfortable, and even better than the pictures. They were easy to communicate with and the place is easy to find. We cooked a couple of dinners for six and the kitchen was well equipped for our needs with plenty of utensils, pots and pans, and all accessories. The master suite is really great with a super comfy king bed and a gorgeous view of the lake through the trees. It also has a lovely bathroom. The downstairs bedroom and adjoining bathroom worked great for our son and his partner--comfy mattress and a super bathroom and shower. The place is bright and the decks and dock make for wonderful views and places to hang out for coffee and drinks. We'd love to return. Lots to do in the area!

Beautiful getaway
The entire experience from start to finish was wonderful. The home, it's location, and all it's included amenities we're just perfect. The owners were extremely responsive. It was particularly wonderful for nature lovers like ourselves having access to a canoe and kayaks and a waterfront space, as well as being nearby many outstanding hiking locations. I highly recommend this property.

5-Star with caveats
I ditto everything other reviewers have said. Jerry and Robyn are great. Their home super well cared for and well supplied. The lake is gorgeous, and very little boat traffic - great for swimming. Beautiful huge white pines and hardwoods providing lots of shade. comfortable beds and rooms and lovely kitchen. Great wifi.
Here's the caveat: There is a road less than 200 yards away that has traffic on it that is quite loud (if you're at all sensitive to traffic noise). There is a major highway (Rt 26) not much farther away. Both roads have cars, trucks, and commercial vehicles. This is not a criticism - Jerry and Robyn have no control over it - but as a heads up to prospective renters.
One more caveat worth noting (if this is something that matters to you): The shade is wonderful. However, because the property is north facing, you will not get sun, unless you go to the shared beach, and then only in the latter part of the afternoon.
Again - beautiful place, lovely lake, wonderful hosts. And a couple things to be aware of.

Amazing Getaway!
We had such an amazing vacation at this property! It had everything we were looking for and more! So relaxing, and quiet, and yet so close to the city to be able to go out! Communication was perfect with Robin and Jerry - they left us detailed lists of amenities. We can’t thank them enough for allowing us to enjoy their home. We look forward to renting from them in the future!

Peaceful Week on the Lake
We enjoyed our stay on Sabbathday Lake! The lake is beautiful and calm - perfect for kayaking, canoeing & swimming. We enjoyed coffee and drinks on the deck overlooking the lake each day! During our stay we were able to check out some of the local attractions like Pineland Farms & Hodgman’s Frozen Custard and drive a little bit to go to the Old Port and Old Orchard Beach.

Great place!
Beautiful place! The place is amazing and going canoeing was my favorite part. We saw plenty of Very friendly chipmunks and squirrels up close. Was a little disappointed finding out there’s not really much of a private beach and the fire pit is on a shared beach that looks like it’s in someone’s back yard and the other houses were pretty close. But everything else was perfect and the owner always answered right away. Overall I was very happy with my stay and will hopefully be back again! Would definitely recommend to a friend.
