Great location, but details matter

Rooms are located directly in front of the ocean, giving them the perfect location for hanging out on the beach all day. We really liked the restaurant breakfast options – coffee is super tasty!

Our room could've been cleaner, we found a gigantic cockroach hanging out in the bathroom and it wasn't very pleasant at all. It of course comes with the environment but still, maybe there's something that could be done about that? Also, maybe it was the season but I thought the price is a bit too high for what you get space and quality-wise. Some surfaces in the room were decaying, paint felt old / was peeling off, etc. Little details that ultimately count when you're paying for a not-so-cheap little place.

Neat experience beach stay

Very cool! The cabins are right on the beach with great shared hammock spaces right on the water. The rooms are clean - with fans to try to stay cool on a hot beach day. Staff was helpful - wifi was fast It makes a very cool experience

If you’re driving - parking anywhere in San Augustinillo can be tricky - but not a deal breaker

Beautiful cabana right on the beach!

The location is perfect! So nice to hear the beach from the room and open the doors and step right onto the beach and have this spectacular view. each room has its own hammock and chairs on a little deck. The bed was nice and big and it is surrounded by mosquito netting that is very helpful. There is a very nice shared outdoor area that is shaded and full of hammocks and tables and chairs. And the place offers good food and drinks and will bring them to you while you continue to enjoy the beach :) The staff is all so very kind and helpful and friendly.

The room is rustic so there were some gaps to the outside without insect netting/protection which would have been nice. Also the water pressure for the shower is quite low so it takes a while to clean all the sweat and salt and sand off

What a lovely place! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Incredibly clean and comfortable cabana, and extremely clean common areas and beach. Everything was so comfortable and service was fantastic. Thank you! Best few days of our trip to Oaxaca.

great place with a vibe on the amazing beach

great location directly on the beautiful beach and inside the village - close to every point of San Augustinillo; good vibe of the place and helpful, friendly personnel; very nice design of the rooms, bathrooms, garden and cabanas area; comfortable, big beds with mosquito nest; hammocks on each terrace and shared in a shaded space directly on the beach; comfortable connecting apartments for a family / 4 people group - connecting doors inside and shared terrace.

hydraulic system wasn’t working well and we had some issues with a toilet - you have to be prepared for this as this is an eco place without waterworks connection; only cold water under the shower and law pressure

Superb

Great locality on the very nice beach with waves but not very much people. Breakfast are extra but are cheap and delicious. Cabanas are simple but very natural and it was great and extraordinary experience.

Overpriced eco cabanas at the beach

Cabana directly on the beach, location location location. Nice hammocks to chill. Very nice and helpful stuff. Helped out when we needed them.

Looks better on the pictures than in reality. In my opinion overpriced for "eco" cabanas where you have to refill the toilet flush in advance, same goes for the food they serve.

Cabanas in paradise

paradise. the experience might seem rustic to some but it’s a privilege to be able to stay on such a gorgeous beach, and all that with attentioned staff, efficient cleaning daily and a simple but delicious kitchen and bar. i am writing this review late after the fact, and i wish i was there right now.

Perfect location to relax

the location was perfect, breakfast was great, staff was helpful and friendly, the view from the cabin was unbeatable. San Agustinillo definitely is the place the stay. also, tons of restaurants and bars around with great good. Will definitely be back asap!

the water pressure in the shower is a bit low, but definitely not a big issue.

Exceptional

This place is stunning - it's right on the beach and our cabana had undiluted views of the sea The staff are really friendly and attentive and you get to know them throughout your stay The wildlife - we saw a turtle laying eggs, dolphins and a whale swim passed Really good breakfast included Super relaxing, very chilled area

Everything was pretty perfect, only one thing I would mention was the sheets. The cleaning was exceptional and the bed was made everyday, the sheet however wasn't changed in the 5 days. This isn't a problem but it was quite sandy

Beautiful views, friendly staff. Will go again.

Beautiful sea views. Friendly staff. Restaurant open till after 6pm and plenty of places to eat in the vicinity.

Room wasn't on the sea front as per the picture in booking.com. need to clarify thus. The manager changed us to a room with sea views on our request Night time watcher, only saw the watcher for 1 night. Mot sure someone was at the premises to guard it.

The bungalow was very very nice!! we loved the place and the room. The bed was very confortable, the breakfast was delicious and the hotel staff were very friendly and welcoming. We really enjoyed our journey there.

Beautiful little family getaway with great staff

Went with my daughter for my birthday. It was very quiet and relaxing. It seemed like a spot for couples but I didn't feel shunned for being there with my daughter like some couple/foreigner spots. It was very laid back and kid friendly. The staff were excellent just very nice and outgoing and helpful. We had the perfect family getaway for a couple days.

The only thing I would change was more mexican food on the menu (it's Oaxaca afterall) and salsa que pica!!!

Lovely location, brilliant hammock, comfy bed! very picturesque.

Make sure you specify you want to be in a room on the beach front with sea views, we didn’t even though all the pictures had ocean view in the room we booked. Had to explain what we had booked which ended up being a bit awkward as we were originally offered one night by the beach and one a row back. Ended up with two nights on the beach which was great but left a bit of an awkward vibe around the beach.

Great location, quiet days in a nice spot

The staff was really friendly. Two of our kids were sick and they let us stay for longer without extra-cost

For some reason, the prices we booked through booking.com were around 50% more expensive than the ones on-site.
