The location is beyond incredible, the family is the kindest and always offer their advice for routes etc. There is no pressure to purchase tours or activities, however the guides available are extremely knowledgeable. The home cooked meals are exceptional!
the bathroom is shared, but that is normal in these parts and in conjunction with everything else- who gives a crap! this is amazing!!!!!

The view is amazing, the food is good and are big portions, but the best part was the sweet staff!

the view and the owner of the house
just get ready of a long hike going to the transient from the parking, there’s a lot of village stairs. it’s tiring but its all worth it.

Beautiful view
Great experience

the stunning view and very friendly staff who work hard.
No place to relax (like a lounge chair/sofa). Just the bed.

The view was excellent. I will come back for the view. The proprietors were friendly, and they were doing their best to give good service to guests despite limitations in the area itself.
Limited options for food--- but again, not the proprietor's fault. The location itself is a secluded area, so only basic necessities present.

very friendly and accommodating owner.

The view from the terrace is breathtakingly beautiful. The two kids are very nice and helpful.
Food is certainly not good. Below average. The best ones probably are the grilled chicken which is quite expensive and the chicken adobo, the rest were not good. Our last dinner was burnt, it was pork tocino and a very tiny two pieces of longanisa. My partner and I were very disappointed. Food was very basic.
There were insects and spiderwebs everywhere. Seems like the house wasnt cleaned properly but our room was clean at least. The mosquito net have many holes so we had to cover it using a tissue paper. Towels are worn out.
They gave us this feeling 'they're all in it together', prices was obviously higher cos my partner is a foreigner in both tours, food, and transpo.
Irene's 'supposedly' brother, offered us a ride to banaue, when I asked for the price, she said 200 pesos per person, Irene said it was the normal price. So we agreed, as we walked to the jeepney station, we asked around for the real price, one girl told us it costs 60 pesos. Even if she is a student, the price will most likely be around 100 pesos but not 200.
We felt scammed.
Shower has no hot water, Irene gave us this steamer, but it wasnt enough to heat the very cold water.

Ate Irene (owner) is very accommodating and also her husband who became our tour guide. Will definitely come back!

Incredible view from the balcony. Rooms are very simple but bed was comfortable. Bathrooms are basic but good enough for 1 or 2 night stay. Plenty of food options (at additional charge). Guide from here was really great!
You have to walk 20mins to get to Batad, so pack lightly! They will pick you up from the overnight bus which is great, but they will push a hiking / guide package on you. For foreign tourists, make sure to haggle down as they price it more than double than what the local tourists pay. Just make sure to always ask the cost before you do anything - including transportation too. Print out or screen shot your booking confirmation as there’s no wifi or reception and they only keep track on paper. Food is definitely more expensive, but unfortunately you don’t have many other options.

The view was amazing. Even if the trek down to the homestay is an effort but it was worth it. Bonus is that they have a hot shower in the common bathroom to wash off the sweat after a long trek. The single rooms are pretty standard for the price and are technically are double rooms.
The pick up offered was not transparent especially if you are alone and as the lady who offers the pick up will offer you extravagant priced tours. Advise is to book a tour guide when you arrive in the homestay so you can join with the other travelers there especially if you are a Solo traveler. You can have more friends to boot. If you stayed a night in Banaue, you can take the 3pm jeepney ride from Banaue to Batad for a fair price. You get to enjoy the topload experience as well with the amazing views!

The views are spectacular. The host, Eileen was welcoming and friendly. The food was delicious and had very good sized portions! The room was ample and facilities were good, clean and simple. The tour guides were super and it was lovely spending time in the village in such a fantastic location.
I only stayed one night, but there isn't anything I didn't like. It isn't luxurious but it's everything you need.
