This is a shack so works well for children and its configuration works well for extended family groups. Has been done up but not in a particularly professional way. Not particularly well equipped but very comfortable beds.

Excellent house, pet-friendly, close to the beach and pub. Wish we stayed a bit longer.. One of the best holiday homes we’ve ever been to. I’d love to thank our host for being so nice for allowing us a late checkout. 10/10

Our group of friends had a great time at this place which was quite spacious (5 bedrooms) and the amenities and large backyard made our stay quite enjoyable after long days out and about. Callala Beach was a leisurely 2 min walk along a quiet main road. Will consider again in future.
5.0
The house was just what we wanted. Geoff even dropped off some life jackets so that we could kayak. Thank you!

Beautiful light-filled home so close to the beach! The Beach Shack is a perfect home away from home that can comfortably accommodate 2 families and fur babies. To top it all off, the property owners are locals and were quick to respond to requests. Highly recommended. Can’t wait to come back!

Callala Beach Shack is conveniently located near the gorgeous Callala Beach.
The property owner was very accommodating and made our stay enjoyable.
Highly recommended.

The house exceeded our expectations.
Water views from loft. Spacious balcony and a great back yard.
5.0
Plenty of parking at the front & secure good sized pet friendly back yard.
Nice big covered back deck area good night lights.
The BBQ is big but is different to the pictures and 3 of the burners don't work.
The downstairs apartment is a good size with kitchenette, washer and a big bathroom.
The loft at the top was great my boy loved it.
There are lots of beds throughout the house upstairs & downstairs. The rooms are small but the beds are comfortable and clean. Plenty of blankets and pillows too. We brought our own anyway.
Has a small but cozy lounge area with Chromecast and the dining table was big enough.
We loved the fire pit at night.
The kitchen is small but well stocked.
The fridge has seen better days but does the job.
The top main bathroom is nice enough it has a corner bath. The fan is a bit noisy.
There is a long crack in the front facing top sliding door lower panel (was rhere before us). I'd like to suggest there should to be a condition report noting damage already at the property before you go, or acknowledgement there are some things damaged they already know of so everyone is on the same page when it comes to the condition of the property prior to entering.
It's in a good location near the beach. The sunsets are lovely from the balcony & people are friendly.
Overall, we had a nice break away from home, would we go back? We'd consider it.
Great prompt communication from the host pretty seamless booking transaction which I prefer.
Thank you 😊

Clean & comfortable
Only missed out on 5 stars because of wear and tear on a few things but overall we would return and we're happy with everything.

Family holiday house
A large family holiday house close to the beach and 5 minutes drive to Calalla Bay shops.

Lovely stay, Great location!
Lovely house. Homely and relaxing. Great yard or the kids to play in!

Relaxing Weekend Away
The location is perfect such a short stroll to the beach, the house is big enough for everyone and we had a good time away as a family. There were a couple of minor issues around TLC for the house that we've mentioned to Roxii but outside of that, everything was good. Thank you for allowing us to stay at your place.

Great holiday experience
The place housed the 12 of us comfortably. The kitchen was well equipped and convenient, although the dishwasher could be bigger. Distance to the beach was perfect - we didn't get the traffic of beach goers, while still being able to hear the waves from our bedrooms. The property can do with some maintenance but overall comfortable and relaxing. Communication with the owners was prompt and their consideration for a later than usual checkout was a bonus. Thank you Geoff and Roxanne!

Great spot
Loved our week in Callala bay. The house is a great location and housed 9 people comfortably.
The house could do with a little maintenance but it's nothing major.
The owners were a pleasure to deal with and I definitely recommend the property.
3.0
Great location but could do with some freshening up
Great location, only a few mins walk from the beach. The place was great for our group of four families but could do with some freshening up i.e some general tlc. communication and attention by the manager was really good and prompt.

Great property for a getaway
Great place, very spacious and facilities were great!! Plenty of room in backyard to securely store boats, cars, trailer ect. If you want to go for a drive without them! Overall great experience

weekend holiday
great place to stay well located, the owners were very helpful & accommodating. we had a wonderful weekend away with the family

Great place to stay.
Owners were easy to communicate with. We had 7 adults and 6 children (3-11years) staying. The washer dryer combo is actually just a washer but was not a big deal. Kitchen is small but well equipped. Some maintenance would be ideal, however property is as advertised - not fancy but comfortable. Great location so close to the beach in a quiet residential area. Highly recommended.

Beautiful Beach stay
Beautiful beach house , plenty of room for small or large family stays. Excellent facilities, just a short 3 minute walk to the beach, locals are friendly. Just a 10 min drive to the supermarket, shops and takeaways. We will definitely book another stay soon. The property managers are lovely, accomodating and quick to reply to messages.

Property was clean and presented well. Plenty of room for the kids to run around and relax
Overall experience was great, easy check in and checkout and not an issue with the property. Plenty of room and a very comfortable place. Will definitely return.

Happy with the house
Enjoy the spot great for family gathering
4.0
Great for a large family or two families.
The property had everything we needed to accommodate a large group of people and kids. The size of dining table inside and outside made eating a breeze. The balcony And backyard were favourite spots. The neighbourhood is quiet and peaceful. The DVD/VHS players are a bit outdated and temperamental, and sometimes didn’t work. This normally wouldn’t be an issue but it rained for two days straight during our stay which meant we did rely on the entertainment inside the house. The other things I would advise other guests is that the “queen size sofa bed” is actually a futon bed which according to my father was not very comfortable. Other than that the place was great.

Easy booking, owner even apologised for not cutting the lawn prior to our stay!
Clean, spacious house. Comfy beds and easy booking.

Neat and tidy accommodation close to beach
Neat and tidy accommodation. The property is close to the beach but driving distance to shops or cafes. We did experience issues with the sliding doors and some fertilizer odours from recent gardening however Property manager/owner was accommodating to issues and was happy to fix . Our dog accidentally chewed and damaged the couch and the owner was very reasonable with compensation. We would recommend this accommodation for a basic no frills experience.

Highly recommended.
10/10 in every respect.

Family stay
There was 16 of us. The property is great for large families our groups of people traveling together. The properties needs some TLC in places but overall an adequate property with a great location.

Fabulous stay
Apart from the hot water system failing on the first evening, my family and I had a fabulous stay at Callala Beach Shack. Geoff and Roxanne were prompt in fixing the problem with the hot water, and kindly returned some items accidentally left behind after we vacated. Overall, a very enjoyable stay.

Not clean and not like the photos
Lots of thick cobwebs inside and unclean. Balcony unsafe. Contacted owner for early checkin and never received a reply. Quite overpriced for size,, cleanliness and condition. Bunk beds were so uncomfortable the kids couldn't sleep in them. Lots of holes in fly screen letting bugs and mossies in and cockroaches in house. See through curtains so no privacy. Locks on bathrooms not working. Showers were the only nice thing but again not clean. So much dust and grime. Was very disappointed form photos to actual condition of house.
3.0
Great beach
The best thing about this house is the fact that it is a short walk to a beautiful beach perfect for little kids - which we have in abundance. The house is fine and it really helps that they take dogs. A few of the appliances needed fixing and the owner was very obliging in fixing what needed fixing. Air conditioning was brilliant on some very hot days. We had a great holiday.
4.0
Amazing holiday
The place and beach was amazing however we felt as though there was a few things missing that would’ve made our stay much more comfortable. The house had no where to put any of our belongings so we literally had clothes and bags everywhere. The kitchen had a lot of essentials that were not available that we usually find at previous houses we’ve stayed at. But other than these minor issues everyone had a blast
4.0
Very close to the beach
Comfortable and very close to the beach. Ground floor is not connected to the second floor internally. But not an issiue. Thanks
4.0
Very comfortable
The house is very comfortable, the beds excellent. No where to store your clothes so you do have to live out of a suitcase, however, this is because they have queen and king beds in the rooms, so I prefer that to a double bed. The beds are very comfortable as is the rest of the house. When you first pull up the look of the property from the outside is disappointing, however, the inside is nice. Very close to the beach, great coffee shops and fish and chip shop within walking distance and lovely neighbors.

Great stay at Callala Beach Shack
My family stayed at the Callala Beach Shack for an early Christmas celebration, and we had a great time. The accommodation really suited us, plenty of room for all of us (13) and within really easy walking distance to a great family friendly beach. The house was clean and well equipped.
4.0
Great place.
We had a fun family weekend for my birthday. Family and dogs. The house and yard were great and the showers were luxurious. We walked to the beach and explored the area. The dining table was a good size for our large group. A lovely house. ??
5.0
Great group house
My six girl friends from school and I had a very enjoyable long weekend away at Callala Beach Shack. The shack is set up well for a group such as ours - we all got a bed and the beds were very comfortable, and we could all park our cars out the front. Bathrooms are excellent - the showers are just lovely. There was so much to do we didn't need to use the tvs. The beach is a short walk from the house and so peaceful and serene. We had one wet day but spent that playing games and talking, drinking cups of tea and then wine when the hour was appropriate. The kitchen is well appointed and we enjoyed our meals there. We had everything we needed and a wonderful time was had by all. Thank you.
