Sobrio, confortable y generoso lugar.

Me encantó el lugar: sobrio, confortable y limpio. Me encantó el desayuno diverso y abundante. Y tanto la señora como el hijo fueron personas muy amables y cordiales.

No me gustó el ruido que hace la madera al caminar.

Auberge agréable et où on s'y sent bien

La gentillesse du personnel, le petit-déjeuner bon et copieux, le confort de la literie, la cuisine très bien équipée, la douche chaude (même si l'eau chaude mettait un certain temps à arriver). Lieu calme sans bruit extérieur.

La chambre est très sombre (la fenêtre est calfeutrée) et il y peu de ventilation. Peu d'espaces communs (mais à priori l'été il y a une terrasse installée à l'extérieur). La cuisine mériterait un nettoyage supplémentaire. Emplacement dans le quartier de La Mariscal (bon quartier), mais loin du centre historique, donc il faut s'y rendre en bus ou en taxi.

An average stay but great breakfast and hot shower!

Location is convenient close to a bus stop. Breakfast and hot showers here are really good compared to the other places we stayed. Also, the hosts are warm and tried to interact with us in spite of the language barrier.

Small room size and limited natural light in the room. The facility is old and the neighborhood did not feel safe at night.

The friendliest hotel we've ever stayed at

Carlos and his family were absolutely amazing! Super friendly and helpful and went above and beyond for us. Even the little dog Titan was exceptionally friendly. The rooms are comfortable, clean with great facilities. Breakfast was freshly made each morning and they were able to arrange taxis and airport transfers. We loved it so much were are going back in a couple of days!

Good value!

Very friendly family host. Excellent full breakfast. Good value for the price. Wifi was good and shower was hot.

You're in an old house so the rooms are next to each other so you can hear whenever other guests walk past your room.

Highly recommend!

Carlos and Yolanda were awesome hosts--genuine, helpful and good spirited. We loved the beautiful old house and the delicious breakfasts. One of our best stays in Ecuador.

Room is poorly ventilated (the only window is sealed shut). Even though there is a plate asking to conserve water, getting hot water requires several minutes each time.

Yolanda and Carlos and their son were so welcoming, helpful and kind. They really made us feel at home. The food was delicious and copious! Perfect way to start our trip in Ecuador. Highly recommended!

Warm welcome

The owners are very warm, friendly and helpful. My boyfriend had to leave very early for his flight, the owners still made him a breakfast. Next to that, the room is good value for money.

I stayed one night and it was a welcome respite after a trip to the states.

It’s an adorable property tucked into a place in Quito where every building is interesting. The breakfast was delicious, they even made it early for me and they took me to the bus station! Yolanda and Carlos were amazing hosts.

it just takes a minute for the hot water to get warm. But once it does, whoo buddy!

Perfect place to stay for a few day's!

This is a perfect place to stay for a few days when you're in Quito. It's a family owned hostal with a really good vibe and really friendly people. It's more a little laid back and relaxed place so don't go for parties or that. Beautiful kitchen, great location, and nice rooms.

Excellent stay at Yolanda’s. The family ran business makes us feel very welcomed. They made sure we have our breakfast,

The hosts were very kind and offered very good breakfast. They were incredibly accommodating and made sure we wouldn’t go out with empty stomachs in the morning.

Room doesn’t face the sun so it was a little cold. But thick blankets, and very nice hot showers

Tambuca is a lovely place to stay. The family treat you like one of there friends. Their home is your home. They go above and beyond to help you know how to get about and what to see. The breakfast is brilliant and keeps you going all day. It was the perfect place to stay in Quito!

Nice staff!!

The staff was so nice and helpful! They woke up at 4:00 am to take us to the airport and gave us also some breakfast 🤩

Amazing place to stay

We had an absolutely lovely stay at tambuca hostel. The owners are extremly helpful and nice, breakfast is great and the beds are very comfortable. We would stay there every time and wholeheartedly recommend this hostel. Thank you to carlos and his lovely family :-)

This place is so nice. the family that hosts the hotel are too kind and generous. The breakfast each morning is always so good, facilities (room, bathroom) everything is a 10/10 to me. even their little dog is too sweet

Good value for money and lovely owners. But room a little cold and noisy.

Lovely family that run it. Don’t speak much English but Carlos put a lot of effort to make conversation on our drive from the airport. reasonable price airport pick up and drop off nice breakfast

Room was very cold with no way of heating it Very thin walls so very loud when people are talking and walking around. Have to ring doorbell to get in (don’t have a front gate access) which makes me a bit nervous to be stuck outside (albeit that wasn’t an issue)

Very nice family run place to stay. The place is very comfortable and clean, staff are friendly and helpful. The breakfast is also nice and good value. The location is also very near to public transport and a decent few shops are around also and within walking distance.

Excellent stay during difficult times Protest were causing Quito much grief, I was fortunate atTP.

breakfast was amazing. Family was super friendly and accommodating.

Payment process was a little shakey. Card reader wouldnt work, i think they charged me more because of problem.

The family running Posada Tambuca is what makes this place so special.

The thing that makes this property is the kindness and helpfulness of the family that run it and are genuinely happy to help in any way they can. They are also happy to provide lifts to different places, including the airport.

My first room had no view out and was dark and noisy. This was changed when I requested to a much better and lighter room which was also quiet. So again, the family did what they could to help me enjoy my stay there.
