Easy to get wherever we wanted, and then very relaxing and comfortable

This cute little cottage was clean and had wonderful views from many of the windows. We loved sitting on the dock, bird watching and enjoying the sun. It was pretty private with a lot of trees and foliage. The owner was very attentive and sent the check in info a couple of days before we were due to check in, which we really appreciated. We will definitely be back next summer.

Lovely tranquil space - a wonderful place to stay!

We particularly enjoyed the dock and the rowboat and the screened porch. The exiting onto Rt 6 is a little scary, but we got used to it.

Lovely little cottage on a lake. It looks just like photos. Air conditioning works well and the bed is very comfortable. You need to cross 6 to get to the rail trail but there is a marked crosswalk. Very, very close to Coastguard National Seashore, as indicated.

Lovely little cottage with good access to Rt 6. Just off highway but amazingly quiet. Great views of pond with nice breeze. Only used AC one night.

We so loved staying in your cottage. At end of long day it was so wonderful to sit in the adirondack chairs at the pond for a cocktail. So peaceful. The screen porch was great for outdoor meals. Bed was comfortable. Some nights the cool breezes cooled the cottage with all the windows you have, but we did love having air conditioning on nights when it was really warm. We will be coming back.

The cabin is exactly as described. It’s perfect for 2 people. Linda is very responsive and helpful. We took our paddle boards out on the pond and it is a quick drive to the beach. The kitchen is well equipped, the shower has plenty of hot water, and the bed is comfortable. We had breakfast on the screened porch every morning. It is very quiet and peaceful. 10/10.

We really enjoyed our stay at this comfortable cottage. We loved the screened porch and the Adirondack chairs on the deck overlooking the pond. We used the rowboat quite a lot and enjoyed watching the varieties of birds on and near the water. Like other reviewers, we found the entrance/exit onto Route 6 a challenge at first, but quickly got used to it. We hope to return soon.

Clean well kept cottage overlooking a small pond. The unpaved road to the cottage is a bit tricky especially in the rain but we got used to by mid week!

We loved staying at this cozy little cottage on Minister Pond. It was exactly what we were hoping for. Quiet, private and close to everything. Having the dock to sit on and watch the active birdlife was a joy. We would highly recommend this place for a peaceful week away and would certainly stay here again.

Perfect place for couples stay. Nice location close to beaches and restaurants on lower cape. Restful sitting on the dock reading and enjoying the pond. One minor incident but Linda was great at fixing it very quickly. All in all very happy with my stay and would repeat in the future. Thank you Linda.

A favorite spot to visit on Minister Pond, great view of the pond, nice dock to sit and watch sunrise, appointed with everything you need for a simple stay.

This cottage is a great place to get away from all the Cape Cod hub-bub. Although just off route 6, it is quiet with a lovely view overlooking Minister Pond. The kitchen is small, but well equipped. The living area and bedroom are both roomy and comfortable. The central air conditioning was a blessing for some of the very hot days we had.

Had a wonderful week enjoying time by the pond. Comfortable cottage nestled into the trees. Close to route 6 but surprisingly quiet. Owners are available and communicative. Thanks for a lovely stay!

A taste of heaven!
Immaculate, adorable, home away from home. Vintage cottage kept in perfect shape and had every convenience. What a view out all of the windows, it looked like something from a movie it was so perfect!

Loved the cottage; disliked Route 6 so close by.
The cottage and Minister Pond itself are really fun. Other reviewers have mentioned the views from the many cottage windows, and the peacefulness of sitting on the dock by the pond. We really loved watching the birds and other wildlife, and watching kids fishing across the way. (With binoculars, we saw they caught many perch and once a foot-long pickerel!) The cottage is well-maintained and had everything we needed to be comfortable. The one real drawback for us was the proximity of Route 6, which meant less quiet than we would have liked. Also, entering/exiting Route 6 to/from the little road to the cottage was hazardous (by our standards, at least).

My husband and I wanted an off-season getaway; being on water was a priority for me, even though swimming season was past. This was everything I could have desired: while the cottage is pretty much right on Route 6 and you can hear it, somewhat, it does NOT feel like being on a major route! It's down a secluded dirt lane that you can barely even spot from the road, descending steeply towards the pond. So, there's the advantage of being right on Rt 6 if you need to drive anywhere, but it does NOT feel that way; the pond is right there, with a lovely dock suitable for sitting any time of day. We also ate as many meals as we could on the screen porch.
The location is also ideal for biking; it's easy to get to the Cape Cod Rail Trail, as well as a gorgeous trail down to Coast Guard beach. The Eastham Superette is only a 5 minute bike ride away.
We spent as much time on the water as we could, in the kayak and rowboat (in fact, an oarlock broke right away and Claude had constructed and installed a new one by the next day!).
I knew I was going to have to do some work, including an online course; the wifi is strong, but I did have to reset the router a couple of times -- nothing to be done about that. We did watch some streaming TV as well.
The bed was super comfortable, and the shower was good (quick and plentiful hot water). Kitchen well and simply equipped. Do note that it's bring your own linens, which we were prepared for, but while that was historically pretty common for Cape rentals, it seems to take some visitors by surprise (especially if you're not arriving by car). The whole aesthetic is pitch-perfect Cape cottage -- very homey and attractive.
I'm already dreaming of coming back same time next year -- this is my absolute favorite time to be on the Cape, when most of the tourists have gone, and the weather is perfect and crisp. So grateful!

Ideal cottage on a small pond. Eleven (that's right, 11) windows of this small place overlook the pond! Restful, shady and cool...simply lovely!

The cottage was perfect for our stay. Private yet close to beaches and stores. It had a private dock on Ministers Pond which made morning coffee a little more special.

Perfect place for a serene getaway
We loved this cottage with its beautiful view of the pond and easy access to several local beaches. I would highly recommend it for a quiet getaway for two people.

All was very good except for the cleanliness. It's like it didn't get cleaned from you previous folk
As is common with many cottages on the cape without full basements there was a bit of mold. Not really bad, but if you have a mold allergy, this would not be a good rental for you.
Otherwise, great place to stay.

Peaceful and close to everything
Great cottage with views of pond. Rode bikes to Coast Guard most days. Practically on bike trail so we also rode north 1/2 hour to LeCount Hollow. Perfect for a couples’s getaway to Cape Cod National Seashore.

A beautiful haven on a serene pond
Amazing getaway from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The setting is magnificent -- all windows face onto a pristine pond. Host provides full array of kitchen supplies, tour brochures for the cape, etc. If you like nature, peace and serenity, you will love this cottage.

A lovely, simple cottage, in a great location
We enjoyed our stay very much. The cottage was exactly as advertised- perfect for a single or couple.
Bed was comfortable, the heating system worked perfectly- amazing that we needed it one night in July. We never used the AC.
A few small suggestions: there could be both more of, and better quality, in kitchen utensils and equipment.
A charcoal tower for the grill would be immensely useful.
There is considerable poison ivy around the dock area. Don't know what can be done about that, but worth noting. We had no problems, but some less wary tenants might be in for a rude surprise.
The dock could use some refurbishing, as well as the otherwise great adirondack chairs. So could the rowboat.

Peaceful & Beautiful Location
5 stars for us. Location: so close to the National Seashore, Wellfleet, Truro and P-Town. Close to Rt. 6 but tucked away in a quiet setting on the pond. The cabin was cozy and really clean, great shower and comfy bed. Everything we needed and perfect amount of communication with owner. I would highly recommend!
