Brilliant location.
Friendly staff.
Close to all amenities, city centre, train and railway station.
Comfortable bed and good air con.
The toilet area was a little tight but otherwise everything else was fine.

La chambre était jolie et propre, ainsi que la salle de bain, plutôt spacieuse.
Si le quartier est plutôt bruyant, certains autres résidents de la guest house l'ont également été jusque tard le soir (la faute à des murs un peu trop fins ?)

I liked the terrace and the air conditioner on the room . The place is close to a lot of places that are available for lunch breakfast and dinner

The location was great, only 10 minutes to the center. Our standard double room was clean.
The room didn’t have much sun light and it was pretty dark. It was little, the bathroom was tiny especially the shower. We paid too much for a night in this room.

The location was perfect, the staff were very friendly and my room was clean. I slept great, so I had no complaints about the beds either. The room had an ensuite shower and toilet with plenty of towels, and the TV and air-conditioning worked perfectly.
The guest house is up a steep flight of stairs, which was easy for me to navigate, but other people might find it difficult.

Fine for an enforced overnight in Faro due to a flight cancellation. Very handy for train and bus stations.
The stairs are quite steep and the room was small.

Clean. 5min walk from train and coach station. 10min from downtown harbour.
Very expensive for a very basic 2star place without breakfast (70 EUR p.night midweek in May).

This is a good place to stay. It is very clean. The location is good. The staff is excellent. The price was excellent. Everything worked well (even in the bathroom). It just has a “well-cared for “feel”.
As an older couple, our room felt too much like a room in a hostel. The double bed was placed against the wall so it wasn’t convenient for a couple. There were 2 other single beds in the room. This was the only room we could get with a double bed for 2 nights. We wish we could have seen other rooms, so we were better informed. Although, this is a very good place, we will look at other places next year in Faro based on the room we had this time.

Sao Felipe is a few minutes walk from bus and train stations. Ideal for anyonw arriving late or keaving early. And it is one of the cheapest places to stay in Faro, too.

Centrally located. Clean.
Extremely small rooms. Not meant for taller people. The double bed fits for one smaller person comfortably. Estimated size is just 175x135 cm...
Steep stairway to access the premises. Missing insulation from the noise caused from other guests.

Good location
Very small bathroom, staff not very friendly
4.0 / 10.0
owner/host very accommodating and a nice person. completely refurbished with many new features such as bathroom and tv within walking distance of rail and bus stations
room very small no draws receptionist very aggressive when I asked why the room am hadn’t been cleaned and towels were wet. seemingly the bank side of the “do not disturb” sign meant “do nowt to the room!” I didn’t know that!! A simple misunderstanding did not deserve that reaction consequencly and unusually we left no tip.

Sao Filipe is a charming small hotel of only 11 rooms and the location is excellent being within a five minute walk of the bus, and train stations and also Faro old town. A perfect hotel for being a base and really quaint and also spotlessly clean. Reception open 24 hours and Anabel on reception was lovely and super helpful.
Didn't take credit or debit cards to pay but plenty of ATM machines close buy -So a small hinderence.

Guest House Sao Filipe is in a great location close to the bus and train station and a short walk to the centre. The room was small but comfortable and was very clean and had everything we needed for a short stopover in Faro. Bathroom was a good size with a good powerful, hot shower. Staff were very helpful, a kettle and mugs provided when we asked if there was anywhere to make drinks. We have stayed here twice and would stay again when passing through Faro and would recommend.

good location a couple of minutes walk from the train station. I only stayed 1 night as I was arriving late into the airport and leaving early by train the next day. The price was cheap. the receptionist on the night shift was nice and pleasant. there was aircon in the room. the bed was fine.
at this price it shouldn’t complain too much. the rooms are small. but that’s ok for one night. the walls are thin. I could hear snoring. and the room I was in faced the road so there was noise from that

near the train station, receptionist was lovely. it was spotlessly clean.
basic but to be expected with the price. bed was awful hard. shower is tiny if you are a large person you won’t fit inside it. leaving key with receptionist every time you leave is inconvenient.
