Friendly staff, spotlessly clean!

Sehr freundlicher und zuvorkommender Empfang. Zentrale Lage.
Die Lage des Zimmers ging zu einem Innenhof mit ständigem Rauschen einer Lüftungsanlage. Der Fernseher funktionierte nicht. Im Treppenhaus standen leere Wasser- und Whiskeyflaschen.

Nearby King Street , 5 minutes by walk. It will take around 10-15 minutes to old town , where a lot of restaurants is located.
Cost is reasonable , breakfast is good, people in this hotel is friendly and love to be answered, even building looks little
bit old, but that is ok for us.

I was with family , it was our first visit , hotel is in centrally located , also major shopping centre near by , we could easily get around.
2.0 / 5.0
The location is fantastic, central, in walking distance to the old town, public transport, shopping and the river.
The room was not 100% clean when I arrived, I've been coming there for over ten years and the hotel is past its time. It doesn't feel safe anymore. Many groups were staying there for partying purposes, I stayed on the 7th floor, where all rooms are connected through outside space, and other guests were smoking there and peeking through the window. Also, there is no security, and anyone can come up to the room levels.
The housekeeping kept throwing my soap away and replaced it with new ones, unnecessary and never replaced the body lotion which I needed.
Most annoying, I planned to use the sauna every day so that I could recover, but the sauna was out of order. That is unacceptable because despite my loyalty to the hotel, if I knew that the sauna wasn't working, I stayed at a different hotel

The room

The highlight was the wonderful oriental lady who managed the buffet breakfast area and her colleagues with friendly smiles. We stayed on 8th floor which links older with newer part of the hotel. Terrific views looking north towards the alt staďt/old town district and Konigsalle. Dusseldorf people very friendly especially when you take time to say Guten Tag. 8 minutes walk to tourist area for restaurants and bars and the transport system is superb 👌

lovely location, very easy access to public transport, excellent breakfast buffet, the warm food section also very good, the staff both at the reception and breakfast buffet are very nice and friendly. enjoyed my one night stay!!
the bedroom inside had another door locked apparently it was an executive room on the otherside so even though the stay at the room was super safe, it was kind of uncomfortable in the beginning to see that there is another door inside the room.

The location is perfect. Near to the central station. Very close to the shopping area, walking distance to the old town.
The breakfast is not as good as last year. Very basic and boring
2.0 / 5.0
The staff were very helpful. Check in was good and even when i did not have a travel adapter they were able to help
The property was veries tired. I have stayed at Mercure all over Europe and teh standard has always been high. I was on teh fifth floor, there was work going one changing skirting boards but did not see anyone working and the room had a massive slope in the ceiling which did not help when i got out of bed.

Good breakfast and hotel location is very good. Rooms old but clean.
Hotel Parking is too narrow. We had a problem woth the reservation which we had to resolve ourselves. Hotel needs refurbishment and extra elevators.

The breakfast is very good and you will be spoilt for choice. Rooms are not that modern but comfortable.
The parking facilities of the hotel are too narrow. The hotel is very busy but only has 2 elevators. We had a problem with the reservation which proved to be very difficult to resolve with little help from the front office.
