Older residence
Room 27, at the very top and last room on floor overlooking the busy harbour. Floor curved, but we were told it was “quirky”
Restaurant failed to have any pizzas, several fish options nor Jersey potatoes as advertised.
Bar clearing out the bottle bins at 0630 which was directly below our window and very noisy.
Breakfast not bad, but coffee and toaster not working.

The hotel was very clean and the staff were exceptionally helpful.
4.1
Great location and the beach bar garden restaurant lovely - good breakfast and really great staff.
Slight drain smell in corridor on second floor - bathroom tired and windows either didn’t close properly or didn’t have a latch that worked so constantly banging when breezy outside.

Love Isle of Wight, will be back, but not to The George, charging 5star rates but it really isn’t a 5star place. Food was so so. The good thing was the Staff who were all wonderful.

Limited choice of wine by the glass.

Great location, comfortable and good food
Nothing but there isn’t a lift

Breakfast was good and Yarmouth is beautiful. Of course, the IOW is a wonderful place
Foresters Hall! When you book, you are told you have your own entrance, not that it is down an entirely different road about 200 yards from the hotel in a converted building. It is also billed as having goodness knows how many beds...4 are bunk beds and in the sitting room! If you follow the instructions to leave bags (no parking), you will then have to drag them along the two roads as you would be nowhere near the room. Breakfast is served in the hotel, fine if it isn't raining, but not too great if you have to put on coats/umbrellas just to eat breakfast. In fact, we only bothered once. Things like juice etc. come from the cheapest multipacks and are decanted. This is not four star and very overpriced

The location and breakfast were excellent but as the weather was so good it would have been nice to have the meal served outside.
Nothing. All worked well and staff were very efficient
4.1
Amazing location, Yarmouth great little town, outside garden area fabulous.
Service at bar horrendous takes ages to get served even when you the only people in bar. Drinks outrageously priced.
Hotel interiors tired. Breakfast very average for price of rooms. Didn’t eat in restaurant as standard of service so bad & food average, we thought we would be sadly disappointed. Hotel so much going for it with its location & building sadly trying to be something it’s definitely not delivering.Beach had lots plastic cups & rubbish on, Hotel could have tired up. Music too loud & not relaxing.

Location was good as was initial check in.
Dreadful bar service in the evening….no-one around yet still waited 20 minutes for 2 beers! Breakfast menu not very extensive and not as billed (no home made granola, guacamole tasted shop bought and full English was average).

High bar prices and high evening meal prices.

Breakfast was very good & location perfect for sightseeing

Food, hotel and staff were absolutely fab. Great location, next to the ferry port with nice local shops.
It's on the pricey in the given climate so clearly appeals to a certain clientel, and it makes it very expensive for families (like us) but then I don't think they are aiming to attract families.

Location was excellent, we loved it! Evening meal was fabulous and breakfast was very good!
Pink bedroom decor…. But actually it was all very nice.

Breakfast was excellent. Location superb. Staff extremely helpful and knowledgeable.
Information about parking on the Isle of Wight was contradictory, it was extremely confusing. The staff helped sort it out for us. Menu was fairly restricted, if you stayed more than two nights, especially as some items were unavailable.

property so old and everything didn’t work

My 8th great grandfather showed excellent taste when he built it. A fine old building in an unrivalled location. Food was great and bar/restaurant service competent and pleasant.
The afternoon receptionist was robotic. (The morning one a delight). The duvet was far too heavy for late summer and the window latch was broken allowing the rain to pour in overnight.
