Wenn man sich in Kenia wie in Italien fühlen will, dann ist das das richtige Hotel

Ein schönes Hotel mit sehr ansprechender, angepasster Architektur, schöne Poollandschaft, direkt am Meer gelegen, sehr nettes Personal. Das Essen ist gut. Etwas schade, dass es wenig lokaltypische Gerichte gibt, als vielmehr italienische und internationale Küche. Einmal die Woche gibts "afrikanisches Buffet", welches aber sehr europäisch anmutet, was aber bei der Klientel passend ist. Für einen Kurzaufenthalt in Watamu einer der schönsten und preiswertesten Hotels.

Das Hotel wie auch die gesamte Umgebung in Watamu ist in italienischer Hand. Statt Englisch oder Swahili wird Italienisch gesprochen, und 99% der Gäste sind Italiener*innen. Mir persönlich ist eine gemischte Umgebung lieber, aber fas war mir vor der Buchung nicht bewusst. Auch Animation gibt es im Hotel - das muss man mögen ...

Villaggio turistico italiano stile anni 90

Sicuramente la cordialità dello staff della reception e di chi lavora lì (tranne che per gli animatori pesantissimi)

Sembra di stare in un villaggio turistico calabrese o pugliese dei vecchi tempi. Solo italiani ovunque, zero cultura local se non qualche serata che sembra costruita solo per i turisti. Il pezzo di spiaggia a disposizione è insufficiente e in una posizione pessima oserei direi in periodi estivi (ad eccezione di altre strutture visitate per lavoro). Insomma non lo consiglierei neanche per le camere veramente poco curate e con: -frigorifero che perdeva -letto scomissimo -zanzariera bucata Poi la cordialità del signore delle pulizie e della reception per fortuna ha aiutato ma non è un resort che consiglierei sinceramente

Not worth a stay. There so many options around that will do better ...

the pool area with beach access was the best of the game.

the unfriendly staff at the reception, the slow and unttentive staff at the restaurant area. The standard rooms are from poor qualtiy and runned down.

A nice hotel some 20 years ago. Big rooms but seriously outdated, mouldy and not well maintained.

Very good

Very friendly staff, relaxed atmosphere, room was clean , the pools are nice, good location, everything in walking distance, reasonable prices for extra drinks and food

great personalised service at a beautiful location.

the proximity to the beach and the staff were great. when we asked for specific excursions we were given exactly what we asked for including asking for personal excursions by locals, and things that benefited the local economy rather than the more touristy things. it was fantastic.

we didn’t realise how Italian centric it was, please advertise that it is in the Italian section.

Good stay. I'll likely stay there again.

Staff were very pleasant. Location was decent with good beach access. Pool was clean and accessible. Beer was cold.

Food was fine (I'm not picky) but was not exceptional by any means.

Overall it was pleasant

friendly staff, good location and clean. Mapango restaurant served good food.

the Safari agency on the location was rip off. breakfast was greasy and coffee was instant!

Pleasant

A few slight changes in Operations and information would have transformed our stay.

More information from management would have been great. Eg:you have to buy water for your room. The bar is a long way from the upper rooms.

Amazing location, clean pools with stunning sea views, wonderful staff and management!!

The location, the beautiful pools and the amazing views from the restaurant. The staff could not be more friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet was very good, with so much choice. Evening buffet was excellent with a themed African selection once a week. The Mapango restaurant was so good -Italian themed with pizza's and yummy salads etc. Definitely will be back again!!

Drinking water in the room was not replenished daily, only on first day. It was available in the dining room though.

Very good

generally good staff, nice rooms, and reasonable rates for extras (transfers, trips etc) which are organised professionally and efficiently. some entertainment in the evenings. nice pizza restaurant on site although there are very few vegetarian or vegan options.

the buffet breakfast is passable but not much better. the place is an Italian enclave, which personally we're fine with but if you prefer a more diverse mix of people then it's probably not for you. the water in the pools, showers and taps is salty, which was the main problem for me as you could never really feel clean, always covered in a layer of salt. after spending five days there I was completely over the moon to leave and go somewhere I could have a fresh water shower! I do completely appreciate that this makes sense in a place where fresh water is scarce. it's not really safe to laver the resort after dark. the two times that we did this, we got a lot of hassle from locals trying to intimidate us, following us around and trying to scare us into giving them money. since it's dark basically half the time, you're kind of trapped in the place, just something to be aware of.

Superb breakfast sets. Everything is extremely tasty, colorful and fragrant. Varied dishes tailored to the needs of both dietary and national preferences. Service at every step with a friendly attitude and a smile. Thank you very much to everyone from the reception, cleaning crew, bar service and kitchen. for creating a family atmosphere of stay. Also great fellow residents from Italy, nice, open people, in friendly relations with me a Pole. The hotel is beautiful and clean, with beautiful views from the balcony. Very pleasant evening dinners with animations. I greet everyone warmly. I would like to come back again in the future. ...Mariusz

Silent and in peace

The hotel is close to the center. The tuk tuks are always ready outside. The plaj is good.

The hotel is like 2 parts located and we were far from the sea. But we had a second swimming pool next to our building.

very pleasant

The pools are big and clean, one is quieter than the other which is nice. The resort is on the beach and is pleasantly decorated. THe rooms are big and the bed is comfortable.

You can tell that the resort is a little tired, a pipe broke in my bathroom flooding the place. However the staff were very flexible and nice and allowed me to stay for a couple of hours beyond the cut off time to compensate for the inconvenience.

Relatively inexpensive hotel in lovely Watamu.

The staff were great, nothing too much trouble and the bed was comfortable. The pools and bar near the beach were fun. The place is managed by Italians and many of the guests were from Italy.

The half board buffet food was a disappointment, and I only ate dinner there once as a result. The room was a bit tired and showing a lack of maintenance. The aircon worked with only two settings, fully on or off, so needed some manual input.

The food could be tastier. Everything in the hotel cost - even water and drinks for food. I would rather pay a bit more and then get free water - it is just better service, I think. Also, make more of the bar. Have waiters come to you. Offer something to drink etc.

Horrible!

Hi Booking.com Lily Palm Hotel was a nightmare for my stay together with my family - we were six of us and what disappointed us was the cleaningless of the rooms, the housekeeping did not change the bedsheets and towels for the 2 rooms I had booked and paid for. When I tried to get help, the housekeeping worker started arguing with me other than looking for solutions for us. No value for my money and wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

Didn't like the place at all.

Inexpensive beachfront hotel.

Great location, nice pools and very friendly staff.

Breakfast uninspired with poor pastries, rather oily eggs and bad coffee. Stained mosquito nets in the room. Hotel seems to not have been renovated in some 15 years.
