it was stunning, very comfortable, staff were incredible.

The staff were very pleasant
The room was small. The safe wasn’t bolted to anything and therefore was of little use. There was absolutely no ventilation in the room. The price of room service etc was over the top. The room was noisy.
4.4
A truly exceptional hotel. Needless to say that the decor is one of a kind. Hard to believe when actually being there that this is a hotel and not a museum. But besides the splendor of the place, the staff was exceptionally helpful and professional. With ample experiences in "5 star hotels", I am not one to easily give such a glowing review, but this place truly deserves it.

It’s a unique and magnificent hotel. The gardens are extravagant and so beautiful. The staff is very supportive, friendly, and perfectly reading each wish from your eyes. Thank you so much.
Of course it is overpriced. We would have appreciated a breakfast included. It’s overstaying the guests gratitude to charge each piece of breakfast (eggs, ham, cheese) extra, given a basic price of euro 28 per person and breakfast. We are not particular and happy to pay a fair price for such an extraordinary hotel, but too much is too much.

This is a lovely boutique hotel, beautifully furnished. The staff were exceptional and there is a real family atmosphere. Lovely old fashioned china was used for coffee and drinks
The food was pretty average.
Although the place is beautifully furnished it is dark and hard to see, even in your bedroom.
Its expensive. Very. It was winter and we were the only guests staying so the main living rooms were unlit and cold.

The place is absolutely beautiful and rich with history. The staff is great, they are interested in their guests and helped us make our stay as good as possible. The spa treatments were excellent, we will definitely be returning to Jardins Secrets next time we're in Nimes!
Our only regret during our stay in Nimes was not spending more time at the hotel and enjoying the beautiful facilities even more. If I have to make a constructive comment, it would be on the size of the hot water tank - there could have been some more hot water / faster reheating.

The hotel was the perfect retreat. It was beautiful, quiet and relaxing. The staff were excellent and the owner spent time with us providing more information about the hotel and Nimes. We had an amazing stay and look forward to going back

quirky decor, nice garden
Hard to find, unwelcoming staff seemed slightly surprised to see us and disinterested. No parking so the car is taken away and there is a charge, which seems unreasonable when considering the hotel's price. Asked for the car by a specific time, of course, did not arrive and staff seemed surprised by our request. Think they have put so much effort into making hotel into something out of a Dickens novel that they have forgotten the basics of how to welcome guests.

Breakfast was perfect in every way. Served with friendly efficiency
This is one of the very best hotels that we have stayed in - anywhere in the world. Our room was pefect. The entire building is sensationally beautiful. The service is impecable and friendly without being fussy or obstrusive

It really was a calm oasis in the middle of the city. It was a little slice of the decadent past. A beautiful shady mature garden. Exceptional service. Staff were so helpful and polite. The breakfast was sumptuous; fresh fruits, breads and pastries with delicious home-made preserves served so beautifully. The house is full of lovely antiques and bedroom was charming with the most comfortable bed and pillows.
My partner felt that it could have done with a proper shower but for a short stay I felt the bath was more than adequate with its hand held shower.

Beautiful gardens, amazing breakfast, friendly staff - a perfect hideout. Conveniently located within minutes from the train station and the city centre.

This is a truly amazing place. Surrounded by beauty and luxury. The garden is an oasis in the city, the decoration is magnificent, beds are so comfy. Best sleep ever! Staff is incredibly friendly.
Nothing!
4.4
it was ridiculously opulent and quirky. All in all - fun.
Incidentals - drinks etc - were pricey. €10 for a beer! And not replenishing the bottle of water in the room each day in 37C? A bit too mean for a high end place.

Location was good. Decor was lovely if you like heavy decorating. Large boudoir although no private toilet.
We would agree with other reviews that this was definitely not a 5 star experience. Air conditioning barely working. Got a fan but so loud you could not sleep. Lovely outside garden with pool but lots of mosquitos. Got 9 bites sitting outside having a drink. Internet barely worked. You had to go sit in reception down two floors if you needed to reach someone. No lift to room, which was difficult with arthritis to climb concrete stairs. Lovely room decor but done with low light atmosphere that made it difficult to see. Bathroom was decorated nicely but antique mirrors made for low reflection. Based on other reviews, I looked forward to staying here for months. So disappointed.

Fantastic location for a visit to the main attractions in Nimes & very helpful hotel staff. Beautiful, calm garden and courtyard. Fun to stay in an interesting place.
Overall (& compared to other places we stayed) it just didn't feel 'value for money'.
