Grounds pools. Lots of sunbeds
The hotel was let down by the food. Lukewarm to cold food. Had to warm food in the microwave everyday. A lot of repetition with foods with same desserts everyday even a la carte the food although served with excellent service but lukewarm. In fact not 5* standard at all. I have had better in 3 star

Good variety of food, great that it has water sports and it's own beach, lots of space.
Negative, the rooms are not modern, old and dark not the quality I thought for the price. A/C did not work but they fixed it. Beds not comfortable at all.

Facilities are nice. It has a nice small beach as well. Good number of bars serving drinks and snacks. The hotel is clean. Good food variety for all inclusive. It was a positive experience, yet it could have been better if the staff were well trained.
Staff need hospitality training and some of them do not understand english which makes it hard to communicate when ordering something. One of them couldn't prepare a the drink on the bar and was rude when I told him this is not what I ordered! Some lobby furniture is old like the metal tables (they got rust on them). Some serving glasses and cups are really old and you can see that they have been serving for extra long time. Sea view room that I got was not actually sea view, it was facing the garden and if you move your head out of the balcony you will partially see the pool and the sea.

The staff is as friendly and courteous as it gets, the lady at reception{sorry don't remember your name} went above and beyond to make sure our experience was smooth.
The location and beach access was just perfect.
Would highly recommend.
Small point, lack of vegeterian options in all meals

Pools are great and access to the beach was great. Staff are super friendly and welcoming.
Food was great on the all inclusive.
Location is good and it's a short taxi journey into Bodrum.
Rooms are spacious and well designed
No complaints,
Cocktails and wine weren't that great but hey the delicious food made up for it.

We had an all-inclusive package and enjoyed most of the food and drinks. Since we were on our honeymoon, the hotel staff kindly offered us an upgrade to a sea-view room and even offered us free wine in our room as a gesture of goodwill. It was a really nice experience!
A few more parking spaces could have helped.

Samara Hotel has great well maintained facilities, the beach is clean with easy access to the sea, food in all the restaurants is always good, fresh and tasty. Food and service in The Terrace & Begonvil was fantastic. There was always enough dining tables, beach chairs, towels. Good variety of alcoholic drinks. Standard room was very comfortable and big with housekeeping service every day. For this price everything was great value.
Wi-fi is unstable, weak and kept logging us off. Spa area is often overcrowded. House wine was not good quality. Our room was close to the disco so it was noisy every night. My biggest issue was service: there are some great servers and super nice people working at Samara, however, every so often we experienced attitude. Towel staff would roll their eyes. Front desk overcharged us by €800 and never explained or apologized (refund was issued). During buffet meals sometimes nobody would come and even pour water. I saw servers delivering drinks to the guests on the beach chairs but nobody ever approached us (even though we were tipping). I will repeat again: the service was usually good, these were just some exceptions.

Very clean, quiet and well appointed room. We stayed in the 500 numbered rooms which are much better than a room in the main building, which we were assigned the first night because we checked in too late in the day. We requested to be moved the next day. The grounds are beautifully manicured and kept. The beach and pool area are spectacular, always clean, and the food is amazing.
The first room we were given in the main building was small with older and more worn fittings, and was noisy late into the night because we could hear the music played loudly from outside. My wife and I came to relax, and would have preferred just the sound of the waves all day, and for us the music and “animations” during the day were too loud, too much and most often music we didn’t like. This of course is all personal taste though, I am sure some guests enjoyed it. We are non smokers and often other guests smoking outside was awful, but there’s not much to do about this.

The staff were very good and keen to provide a good service. We were also impressed with the customer relation office regarding how helpful she was to us with all matters related to our stay and travel to and from the resort. The restaurants staff were all exceptionally good.
Access to the beach was very good. The food provided was good and tasty and of good variety.
The biggest letdown of the resort was the pathetic intertainment activities down by the so called animation team who lacked any imagination and drive to entertain the resort patrons. The music at the pools was more or less non existent and poor in sound quality. Although the resort has a well set up theater area it wasn't utilised well by the animation team. All activities where substandard in nature and most patrons would leave 10mins or so after start. No discotheque or fun nights where held during our 5 day stay. The imagination team spent most of their time trying to sell patrons Bingo tickets to make money, or trying to sell discotheque tickets at external venues for $15 USD to make extra money on the side. It was my understanding that most patrons also weren't impressed with the provided entertainment at the resort. It so unfortunate that the animation team leader was seriously annoying throughout the functions he arranged annoying patrons with very lengthy introductions in Turkish assuming that all understood what he went on about even though it was clear that the majority of the patrons were foreigners.
The other big letdown was the air-conditioning in our room which never functioned well leaving the room hot and humid despite us asking for it to be fixed.

Everything was great EXCEPT Airport Pick up & Drop off !!!
We were 3 with booking of 2 rooms ( 1 double & 1 single). When we arrived at the airport, we found a small car waiting for us, despite the fact that I booked with Reception two ways ( pick up & drop off) with EURO 85. They said it will be a Mercedes limosine ( up to 4 persons).
Since our bags were 6 ( 3 big & 3 carry over), it ends up that we stayed in the sun for more than 30 minutes searching for big taxi to pick up from the airport.
We informed the reception while checking in that we didn’t take the booked car and we highlighted to the staff that they should complain of what happened cause the company they are dealing with is not honest and they sent us a sedan FIAT not a Mercedes Limosine ( as confirmed by the staff) who should cater for 4 persons with their luggage.
Upon checking out , we informed one staff in reception that we need Taxi for drop off to airport. Again, We found a small taxi cap came to take us. But this time, there was no time for another chaos as we were running out of time and there was no room for any delay.
The funny thing is that such staff wouldn't show any interest or care to help us. As if he is not in 5 star resort and hospitality business. He was about to let us miss our plan. I started to increase my tone that how on earth 2 rooms with their luggage could fit in a small taxi ( 3 persons with 6 bags). And for more than 15 minutes just arguments with the usual words “ I can’t do anything now, there are no taxis in taxi station …etc”. Finally, we were lucky to get a car by chance.
Such caliber could make a disaster one day in his position. Careless person like such staff couldn’t handle customer issues and urgent requests. He is not ready to work under pressure. I urge every reader of this review not to rely on reception upon arrival or departure.
