The breakfast was very good as was the view from the room. The breakfast room staff were very good.
The greeting was basic (also had to tend the bar) but pleasant.
The location of the accommodation was central to most of Aberystwyth's attractions.
The room was on the third floor, requiring one to climb three stairs, which were quite rickety and not level.
The room overall was of poor quality. I suspect it is just add on accommodation for a long weekend - but it was advertised and charged out at a quality single bed room rate.
The room was tiny and had a slight slope in the flooring. The advertisement states that there would be a cupboard/wardrobe - there was no other furniture in the room other than the bed and a small bedside table. There was no where to hang one's clothes.
The bed was located such that to get to the kettle one had to walk around the bottom of the bed and duck so as to not hit your head on the sloping ceiling.
The mattress was the worst mattress on which I have slept. Each of the springs had become independent of the others and each made a sound when you moved. The mattress gave little support while sleeping - causing back pain.
The kettle and sugar / milk containers were on the window sill. This made it impossible to put the window blind fully down. They need to have a small table to put the kettle etc on.
The hot / cold water regulator in the shower is broken (the button was missing - one wonders how long that has been the case. But it is surely a priority fix issue). This meant that one had a choice from very warm to scolding.
The wi-fi didn't work BUT worst of all the bed sheet had not been changed after the last customer and the floor had not been vacuumed.
The price for the room for the night was 25% more than I paid a week earlier in a major city. The quality at that hotel was much, much higher than at Harry's.
After booking and prior to my arrival I received an email from Harrys stating "Rooms are cleaned and checked thoroughly each morning before check in.
All items have been accounted for and room maintenance has been checked."
That clearly did not happen.

Clean and inviting
The room was very hot on the first day, if the curtains had been drawn in the morning to keep it cool it would have been much more comfortable- i did struggle to sleep a little from being so hot as I couldn’t work out how to open the windows but the second day we left the curtains drawn and it wasnt as hot in there but still would have benefited from being able to open the window

Friendly and helpful staff. We asked for an early check in to get changed before our sons graduation (as we had travelled for 5 hours!) and they delivered for which I’m very grateful!
The accommodation part is a bit tired looking

Clean, comfortable, convenient for the trip.
The bedroom overlooked a busy street which was very noisy on the Friday night. The hotel did provide earplugs.

Restaurant, staff,secure parking
Bed was very uncomfortable, too many stairs, no lift. Very noisy outside in the very early hours of the morning.

Generally good, very good breakfast. Close to town centre and beach.
We managed to get the last space in the tiny car park and left the car there throughout our stay. Parking in town is almost impossible, suggest you contact the hotel before arrival regarding where you can park. Also it can be a bit noisy at night from people in the street, not the hotel's fault.

We stayed in the apartment for one night - it was fantastic and just what we needed/ hoped for. Two good sized bedrooms, longe with table chairs/ sofa bed, really well equipped kitchen - small bathroom ( no bath) but v clean and functional. V v clean, comfy, fresh - could not fault it - loved the picture/ photos on the wall of Aberystwyth a really nice touch.
Nothing!!

The room was a little small but it is an old property so there is little they can do about that and the floor in the en-suite had a definite slope to the floor (old building again). I had to be careful going past the tele which was on the wall at the foot of the bed as it was a little narrow there and the TV stuck out a few inches. The kettle lid wouldn't spring open so had to fill down the spout. The en-suite door lock was not fitted either but then there is no reason really to have one. Great parking behind, wonderful staff and fantastic breakfast.
New Kettle.
