The staff especially Cheryl who was really nice and nothing was too much trouble
We were right at the top so lots of stairs .
In fairness it was very well priced is an old building and we didn't request
The food was ok but could be improved on .

Lovely building, clean, cosy and nice staff. The room was comfortable, and quiet
We had to move room as the first room was so cold, but the staff sorted it quickly.
The food was extremely slow in being served for our evening meal, almost an hour yet the restaurant was empty. When it arrived one the meals was raw in the middle. It was sorted but had clearly been microwaved and was inedible. The staff did remove the dish from the final bill though.
The breakfast was again slow to be served, and was cold.

Our stay here was absolutely fantastic. The staff were very helpful, nothing was to much trouble for them they go above and beyond to help. Very professional, spotlessly clean and will definitely stay here again could not fault them.

10 of us travelled down from Manchester on our motorbikes and the hotel was just perfect. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. They couldn’t do enough for you. Rooms were very clean. Food was just amazing. Great value for money. We’ll definitely be staying again.
We stayed in room 23 and the shower didn’t have much pressure but still managed to have a shower

The breakfast set up was not good, nobody told us we had ro sit on the table with our room number, there were 3 numbers on the table, told staff there was no coffee, sugar or juice left only be told"im busy doing breakfast so you'll have to wait "

a proper old fashioned hotel, but still very comfortable (such a comfy bed) steeped in the history of the Welsh Guards. Things to discover dotted all over the hotel. The staff are delightful.
there is nothing to dislike.

Staff was nice, food good nice but some things was missing from order.
Just the Bed it was a bit lumpy

Breakfast was fairly good if a bit greasy. One of the waitresses was excellent. The service was remarkably better when she was on staff. The location was good. Close to train station and central shops.
The room was very dirty. Carpets were shabby and not hoovered. Beds were extremely uncomfortable and the bed linens were dirty. We asked for a different room and called around to different hotels but nothing else was available. Wayfinding signage was confusing and inaccurate. All fire doors were propped open. Some of the staff were rude and unhelpful. Passage to rear car park was extremely tight. I wouldn't want to attempt it without a person on each side of my car. I would not stay here again.

Room was clean nice shower
Little bit dated in the public areas

The hotel was fairly clean and comfortable, with a new shower room .The food was good.
The wall at the side of the bed was badly marked and something had obviously been splashed on it. This could easily be remedied with a quick coat of paint or at least wiped down. The toilet seat also needed tightening.

The breakfast was excellent when cheryl was on, organised!! Breakfast Food was good but greasy mushrooms , hot tea should be served per table in a teapot !!not in a vacuum flask ?!!!
Like when cheryl is on , cereals, fruit and yogurts, good seating arrangements lots of space,
When the lads where serving on tables they need to be a bit more attentive to what customers need, or require. and concentrate on that table for the meal completely rather than bringing out parts of the order and others waiting ??
But good otherwise

The staff were lovely and one particular lady gave us plenty of tips on where to visit, and was really friendly during/serving our meal.
The food was good too.
One of the double beds was so soft your backside bottomed out and you could feel the bed base.
My son had the comfy one, who was joined by my wife during the night.
Night modernised bathroom. Although the bath was tiny....even for our 10year old.
The designated fire exit window in our room would not open. This was the exit for our floor.
Most of the fire doors were wedged open throughout the upper levels.
Baring in mind all the wood panelling on the lower floors, you really want those doors closed.
I'm a fire fighter, so I probably notice things like this a little more than the average guest.

Old Lovely Inn in Central Carmarthen. Staff friendly and very helpful. Good food
3.9
Friendly staff, good food, clean room, gluten free food available
Bed was a little hard but that's my preference rather than an actual problem
3.9
nothing
noise from the bar until midnight
noise from the squeaky floor boards from the room above
the constant noise from people shouting outside
to the point that the window could not be opened
the single bed was so uncomfortable the middle had a dip and the mattress was awful
I would say it was the worst hotel I have ever stayed in
3.9
Good Central location
Bed you could feel the springs in the mattress which made sleeping difficult. Facilities are a little dated.

Food was crap

Historic coach house in the middle of Carmarthen. The room was comfortable and clean. Bathroom was nice too though the toilet seat was broken. When we mentioned it to member of staff she just shrugged. Overall the staff were polite but disinterested and distracted. We felt like interlopers eating our dinner while they rearranged the room around us ready for breakfast. Reasonably priced but wouldn’t stay again. An occasional smile wouldn’t go amiss.
Not very friendly.
