Bekvämt boende.

Praktiskt och bekvämt läge för det jag skulle göra.

Vattenkokaren i köket fungerade inte. Ytterdörren går inte igen om man bara släpper den, utan man måste dra igen den för att låsa. Risker, speciellt nattetid. Samma problem även förra året, då jag bodde här.

Jag är mycket nöjd med boendet som helhet och har redan rekommenderat det till vänner.

Ingen frukostservering pga helg hade jag fått info om. Rummet mycket fräscht inrett. Bra att sänglinne fanns på rummet. Bra att städning ingick i priset. Centralt läge av boendet, men lugnt och ingen störning utifrån under natten. Fungerade utmärkt med besked om kod till port och rum, så det blev inga bekymmer trots sen ankomst.

Om frukost ingick även under helgerna hade det förstås varit en fördel. Annars har jag faktiskt inget direkt klagomål. Mycket nöjd.

Lovely staff.The hostel is a little rundown but clean.No breakfast because of summer.

It was near everything,staff were great.

The shared kitchen, Someone kept leaving food out on the dining table and never wiped it.I know the staff can’t stand there all day.I washed everything I was going to use as a precaution. I guess we were just unlucky with this one.They were noisy ,too.

The door code locks are rather awkward to use. They often need three or more attempts to register the correct key presses and are awkwardly positioned. I was sent incorrect information prior to my stay about the availability of breakfast.

Someone had apparently been cooking in the common kitchen so the whole corridor and also my room smelled of their food, which wasn’t very pleasant.

I just wanted a place to sleep. And this was perfect for this.

Didn't have breakfast, so I don't know.

Convenient youth hostel, comfortable and clean room. We did not meet any staff since we checked in after 5 pm and there was no breakfast on site. There is a nice little cafe around the corner though, where we could get sandwiches and coffee.

Desk was too small. Rooms are small, but it's the cheapest place.

The staff were good, including the guy maintaining the building with the rooms in. I'd give them higher marks if the guy who checked me in hadn't disappeared and closed the reception 10 minutes after I saw him. Underground car park was ideal for unpacking and for avoiding snow on the car.

The rooms were a bit cramped, but the main problem was that the "desk" is really just a glass stand for a TV, measurements of about 35cm x 100cm, which is too small for business use.

Good value for money

Nice location and an OK room. Like vanilla - nothing special, but not much to complain about.

During the whole stay the staff was nowhere to be seen, and they didn't send me the enter code beforehand, so it took some extra effort to get into the room.

Quite a nice stay at a very interesting place

➕ The hotel is part of Svefi folk school, and this alone turned this short stay into something much more impressive, as the reception is located inside the main building of the school, with plenty of artworks to see and a little glimpse into a life of a very artistic place indeed. The people running the place are very friendly. ➕ The location itself is right at the Haparanda's Torget, about a kilometre away from the bus station and the border to Tornio, so it's possible to go explore everything by walking. Quite easy to get to the place with rolling luggage too (might be a bit more difficult when it's snowy). ➕ The price for the stay was quite decent. The room itself is located in a separate building. The room was nice and clean. There was a small communal area nearby with a small kitchen. Wi-fi worked splendid in the room. Breakfast (in another separate building) was very nice too.

➖ One little thing that comes to mind is that the noise isolation of the room from the corridor wasn't the best.
