Venue was great, food was great and so was the ambience
Please make a pathway to the pool area - we got muddy as it was raining
Think the bar was short staffed. Although the staff were great, they seem to be doubling up. Several couples were waiting for drinks and there were no staff - we just left.

gardens are beautiful, house interesting, food excellent and staff helpful and friendly
floor boards in bedroom creaked and walls were a bit thin regarding sound

Lovely garden.
Run down and badly in need of refurbishment.

Beautiful old world charm, although very dated & run down. Needs updating, rooms were very basic, empty & no facilities. Dinner was lovely although breakfast was very limited & no service.

The staff at reception were really friendly and helpful. The property itself is pretty - expansive gardens and lovely to walk around.
The beds were very uncomfortable and the hotel feels run down and outdated. We were told that the hotel is about to undergo a refurb - I'd be keen to come back once this has been done. I certainly wouldn't come back before then.

From the moment I entered the hotel I was treated so well. Everyone was friendly and made me feel like a special guest.
The toiletries in the bathroom could have been a little more LUX

Breakfast being part of the stay is an excellent idea as travel to breakfast is not a good choice.
Food at dinner was superbly presented.
The room was extremely comfortable and quiet.
We were actually booked in for two nights. Initially Thursday 28th March but my husband phoned and requested another night Wednesday 27th March as our function in Berrima started at 2.30pm. It became evident on Thursday morning that there was an issue when our key stopped working but the girls at reception sorted it out with no issues. We certainly had paid for two nights.

Perfect! When most hotels these days are overly curated and interiors overly crisp and white this is a real treasure. Wonderful old world aged charm that is getting harder to find. Wonderful gardens, wonderful interiors, wonderful breakfast.
Pushy breakfast staff member, Cheryl.
All other staff were truly excellent .

The staff were wonderful and breakfast was superb. Dinner was nice but as with most “fine dining” overpriced… but what is these days.
The gardens were beautiful.
The bathroom as very tired and in need of updating. Bath had mild and hair in it so did not use it. We went to the spa instead which was lovely.

The location and gardens are very good as are the staff and restaurant. The old mansion is interesting and special although rundown.
In short the hotel needs a refurbishment, the accomodation block needs a complete redo, with the bathrooms and rooms looking very dated and tired. The mansion rooms need a repaint (including the front door) the breakfast room needs a repaint, new windows and its floor tiles professionally cleaned, and the Bar its roof looked at as it leaked during our stay.
Some things are fairly obvious others simply need a rethink, much could be done by a serious maintenance program (ie removing the dead plants next to the front door) and a paint brush others need serious help and investment.
Basically its a good hotel but its reached the end the of the road as a luxary location without serious investment.
Which is sad as the staff are excellent and the food absolutely superb, although we were the only people in the restaurant during our stay

Milton Park has beautiful grounds and lovely rooms. Food and service is generally very high quality.
We booked the romance package and were told a room upgrade was included (if available) as part of the package, however despite there being minimal occupancy , we were told the upgraded rooms were all booked. This was blatantly false and our assigned room was dark without any of the views we know are available, from our previous stays. Very disappointing was the front of house staff who seemed uninterested in making our stay special.

Amazing grounds, very special spa facilities. Staff and service were next level.
Good was very good (excellent breakfast, though the dinner was slightly lower than expectations)
Some of the rooms could do with a refresh, particularly the bathrooms. We had a plumbing issue and had to have our room changed (staff were amazingly good about it).

All the facilities were fabulous, main pool a little cold. Haley on reception exceptional, always smiling, helpful, welcoming, a lovely person to deal with.

Unfortunately we did not get to stay due to family illness but have stayed before so knew what to expect. What I would rate 100% was Milton Park honoring my booking with a credit which I could use any time within the next three years. That was such a considerate thing to do and something I will remember, treasure and tell my friends about as this is so rare! rare THANKYOU Milton Park
There was no aspect of the hotel I didn’t like

I found the staff and the food lovely, however the place looked very tied needing an update, the future in my room was stained and ripped , the paint in the bathroom ceiling was falling off, the spa wasn’t working, other then that had a lovely time,
Update rooms

I have read some differing reviews about this hotel however we found it lived up to expectations. great grounds, great staff, very comfortable room and an excellent kitchen run by some talented chefs.
possible break seating arrangements need to be refined. we booked but the dining area was full when we arrived at our allocated slot. not a big deal for a couple but might be for those with a young family.

spa was out of order. Hydrotherapy suite closed at 3pm so was unable to use the facilities that were promised. Wedding (???) at the pool meant we couldn't use the pool either. Repeated emails to the spa went unanswered so we were unable to book treatments. I called the spa--they never called me back. I left my charger at the hotel and called. They said they would mail it. Never received it back. Very disappointing stay. Not at all worth the money.

House and grounds have old world charm.
Staff shortage due to COVID - no surprise. Phone was unanswered before arrival. Specific request to not phone me (use txt or email only as aim was to surprise wife for special occasion) was ignored (Champagne on arrival as apology - Thanks). Fine Dining Dinner included in package was cancelled due to COVID. Staff had no guidance from Management how to handle situation (so, pay for bar menu and minimal refund). Were advised on checkout that Management would address amount of refund. Heard nothing over 2 weeks later!

Overall everything exceptional
a choice of meat dishes on the set menu dinner would have been nice. Not liking seafood, we fund the pork a little rich
