Excellent throughout.

Everything was superb,from Sue greeting us upon arrival to the lovely comfy accommodation. All staff were friendly and couldn't be more helpful. We are looking forward to our next stay.

Perfect, tranquil place. Sorry it was such a short stay.

This is a superb B&B in a perfect location. The only noise was that of the cows!!! Very friendly hosts. Our room was enormous and very comfortable. There were little extras, such as cake and bottled water and proper milk!!!! Iron, ironing board, hairdryer, toiletries, sumptuous carpets and furnishings all led to giving it top marks. I would highly recommend Cold Cotes, you won’t be disappointed.

As one of us was coeliac, we were very impressed with the attention to detail regarding gluten free requirements. Excellent choice for breakfast. Very good stay and would return and recommend.

A place to re-energise and relax

From start to finish our trip was a blessing. Property is set in beautiful surroundings, close to knaresbrough and harrogate centre. Very cosy and spacious room, Sue and Mark made sure we feel like we are on holiday Breakfast was fresh and .delicious Very friendly atmosphere

The main aspect was the friendly staff and amazing breakfast. They couldn’t do enough for you. The effort of fresh milk and cake waiting in the room and homemade cake to take away from breakfast was also going above and beyond. The white company shower products were also really nice. Everything you needed from iron to wine glasses to bath robes and big fluffy towels. We usually go to hotels but this was far better especially the genuine friendly service.

The guest house is a collection of properties with the annex we stayed in one of the suites. Separate to this was a beautifully constructed and decorated oak beamed building that was used as a reception and breakfast lounge. The suite we had (No2) was lovely. As soon as we entered it was nice and warm. The suite was like a small apartment - 3 rooms. First was a small lounge area with settee, a TV & fridge / refreshments/ sink. This was separate to the very large bedroom by a door so ideal if one of us just wanted to read/ watch different channel/ not disturb partner sleeping. The bedroom was lovely + very large settee and massive bed, which was very comfy. Bathroom beautifully decorated and clean. Fresh/ clean robes. Lots of sockets perfectly located. Great selection of coffee, biscuits laid out including delicious fresh cake & fresh milk. Lovely liquid soaps / shampoos and moisturisers for use in bathroom. Fantastic breakfast selection - delicious Nice and quiet & relaxing

A gem of a find , purely by accident but thrilled we found it.

A perfect location, beautiful setting, wonderful room and exceptional host and staff. An absolute pleasure to stay and will definitely return ❤️

From start to finish everything about Cold Cotes is excellent. The hosts, the guest house , the little touches in the room..yummy cake waiting. You order breakfast the night before and it's ready for you arriving at the time you pick. Nothing is any trouble at all, you want something, you ask, you get...simple as that. We can't thank you enough for a lovely couple of nights stay. 🙂

Totally excellent

Absolutely fabulous. Easily the best B&B I've ever been in (and I've been in hundreds over decades). Everything here is way above standard. Boutique rooms, lovely rural location, lovely breakfast, guest sitting area, honesty bar, and owners who are outstandingly friendly and helpful. The only mistake you might make is thinking you can be here without a car. Its 6 miles out of Harrogate and buses do not pass here. Other than that, you can't go wrong. This place is exceptional.

Nothing. I think the only reason this place hasn't got a straight 10 rating is people who didn't check the rural location and thought they could walk into town.

Exceptional, elegant and comfortable B&B offering superb service

Beautiful room with quality touches and comfort. Delicious breakfast served in lovely setting and by genuinely friendly staff. The owners, Sue and Mark are so welcoming, and genuinely interested in making your stay as comfortable as possible. Truly the best B&B I have ever stayed in.

Fantastic Stay

Everything was done perfectly, the accommodation was fantastic, spotless really comfortable. Everything you needed and more.Everyday we were given fresh cake after breakfast which was delicious, lovely touch. Sue and her staff were lovely very welcoming and personal. The breakfast was great lots of choice and as much as you wanted. Will definitely return. A quiet relaxing gem. Thanks

I loved every single thing! All the Staff were amazing, friendly ,helpful and couldn’t do enough for us! The room was amazing , spotlessly clean and comfortable , the decor and the furniture were beautifully put together - chocolates on the pillows….. The breakfasts and service were exceptional - can’t wait to go back… ideal spot for visiting everywhere in Yorkshire - you have to go!! Can’t praise it enough- I forgot to mention the piece of cake we were given every day for later!! Lovely touch- Thank you

A lucky short notice find which served our needs ideally.

Spacious accommodation with access to a small sheltered courtyard. The wet room was well equipped and relatively roomy. The room had a small refrigerator with a supply of fresh milk.

We would have preferred solid soap rather than liquid dispensers.

Luxurious accommodation!

Beautifully decorated large room. Hosts and staff utterly lovely. Breakfast was 5 star. Lots of little touches made the stay perfect.

Internet signal was a little hit and miss but honestly this didn’t detract from the stay and we’ll definitely return.
