The hotel is very clean and there was a fridge in the room and a small pool and sunbathing area by reception. The hotel is in a quieter area of town, close to the beach and places to eat and drink.
There was a light for the area outside my room which was very bright and my curtains were very thin, so it didn't get dark in my room when I wanted to sleep. The internet didn't work very well in my room, I had to go to reception to use it properly. There was no hot water on my last day, but there had been on the first day.

Located centrally
My camera was stolen from my room and I believe it was staff that stole it.

Location of the hotel is the only bonus that can be highlighted.
Incompetence of the staff. Humidity in the room. Poor internet connectivity that does not reach all the rooms.

The breakfast was good
The photograph which advertised the property gave the impresion that it was a nice location directly on the sea front. However, when I arrived, it was first of all difficult to locate the hotel. It was not on the sea front but behind a dilapidated building along an alley-way. Also the the sea front is being excavated at the moment. Access to the beach was impossible. also the swimming pool was tiny and in a very shady location in front of the hotel lobby. I had to take my suitcase up two flights of outside stairs to my room. I made the mistake of turning on the air conditioner as the room had not been occupied for some time. However I regretted that because after the first night I started to get a throat infectionwhich eventually turned into bronchitis. I can't be sure but I think my infection may have come from the air conditioning system. All in all, my experience at Las Terrenas was not very positive, due in large part to the choice of accommodation.

It is located only a few meters away from the beach which is nice.
It was really noisy and dirty in the hotel and in the room. The toilette got blocked somehow so it was difficult to flush (and yes we know that you should not put toilet paper - we didn't!). They also have a pool outside which seems dirty so we didn't get in.

Good location...This is a beachfront hotel.
The staff lied to me and overcharged me when I signed the credit card receipt. It was only to the tune of a few dollars, but I don't like being scammed.

Staff so nice thank you. Bed comfortable. Lounge area outside great. Familial business with their kids going to school and everyday living is nice . Price is good ($40-$50) for what you get.
Loud bar right by the hotel and now building a huge club to (construction noise everyday : /). I hope you guys can cope with that . I had to sleep with 2 earplugs to be able to sleep on weekends from thursday to sunday.

The room is fine, comfortable, with TV, working fridge, AC and WIFI, hot water, closable windows (things that are not so obvious in DR).
The locations on one hand is great, in front of the beach, and right in the center. On another however is bad, as it's just next to Mosquito bar that is very loud till 2-3 AM. It's basically a party in your room. So either you go out there and party yourself, or prepare strong sleeping pills and noise cancelling headphones.
I missed glasses in the room. and a common kitchen - you can't cook there.
