Left us search the whole property for our room with two crying children at 3 am

I liked the flexible check in and out. Spacious family room.

1- the receptionist did not even smile or have any facial expressions. Then gave us a room key upon arrival at 3:30 with two kids under 5 years old. She gives us the key to room 22 and points at the lifts, we go up and after driving for 7 hours with little tired kids. We look for the room on all 3 floors and can’t find it, so we go down to her and she doesn’t say a word just clicks on the lift button and presses on level 2, we go back up again and look for another 5 minutes we thought we were being crazy or pranked. Eventually my husband goes down to her and she tells him the room is actually not in the main hotel building but outside in another section and just opens the door for us and again not one word, doesn’t come to show us where it is after we asked her 3 times, we again circle the place because she said it’s level one. Then up and down until we find it. Honestly the kids were crying as they needed the toilet and she couldn’t care less. I also did not realise when I booked that the room looks completely different than the photos because it’s not part of the main hotel so if you’re a family adjust your expectations for the price of 200+ euros a night….

original room only had a bath and no shower so we asked to change - the only other room they said we could have was in an annexe - away from the building - no air conditioning - shower floor tiling was grubby. building generally very tired and needed improving.

location is stunning, staff were very friendly & attentive. Comfortable hotel, excellent breakfast with fast & easy check in/out.

you have to order your eggs from the waitress when the cook is standing right there, seems unnecessary.

Room and comfort of the beds exceptional. Opening the windows to the lovely gardens was just lovely

Breakfast is a lovely buffet, however supervision could have been better to prevent guests mishandling the food. Cooked breakfast really good and exceptional quality, likewise the fresh products and bakery items

Spacious and clean rooms.

Beautiful building in a wonderful setting. . This time we stayed in the main building which was worth paying the extra for as the rooms are much more spacious. The bedding was good quality and lovely fluffy towels. The restaurant was very good and reasonably priced too.

The first time we stayed here was in the Orangerie which is basic and does not reflect the splendour of the chateau. There is no air con in the rooms and due to the insects, we were not able to open the windows.

it is a beautiful property set in beautiful grounds. The staff were very friendly and the dining experience was impeccable. They were especially accommodating for our dod too.

Excellent stop on the way south

Lovely building in very picturesque grounds. Friendly welcome, shown to nice room on second floor with views over the park. Had a drink on the terrace, then meal in the restaurant. Varied menus priced from 55 euros, food good, friendly service although English a bit limited but better than our French! OK breakfast with tasty omelette cooked to order. Not cheap but would stay again if in the area.

Rooms really need aircon but probably difficult to install in an old building.

VERY DISAPPOINTING FOR THE MONEY

FOOD IN THE RESTAURANT WAS VERY GOOD. ON SITE PARKING. GOOD LOCATION FOR STOPOVER REASONABLY EASY ACCESS TO AUTOROUTE.

WE ARRIVED JUST AS A RAIN STORM CAME EXPECTING A ROOM IN THE MAIN BUILDING, BUT WERE POINTED TO SOME OUTBUILDINGS AND GIVEN A ROOM NUMBER WITH NO GUIDANCE AS TO WHERE TO FIND THE ROOM, WHICH BLOCK, AT FRONT, BACK, UPSTAIRS OR DOWNSTAIRS. IT RAINED SO HARD THAT WE HAD TO TAKE SHELTER IN AN OPEN EMPTY CONFERENCE ROOM. TRIED PHONING RECEPTION BUT THERE WAS NO ANSWER. EVENTUALLY HAD TO GET WET TO TRY AND FIND THE ROOM, WHICH TURNED OUT TO BE UP A FLIGHT OF STEEP STAIRS IN THE OPEN BUT THEN THE KEY CARD DIDN'T WORK! IN THE END AFTER REPEATED PHONING A MEMBER OF STAFF CAME AND GAVE US A KEYCARD TO A GROUND FLOOR ROOM. WE HAD SPENT 45 MINS IN THE CONFERENCE ROOM. ROOM WAS DATED AND IN A FAIRLY POOR CONDITION, LITTLE FURNITURE, NO BEDSIDE LIGHTS ETC. ALTHOUGH THE FOOD WAS EXCELLENT IN THE RESTAURANT, WE PAID FOR SPECIFIC LEVEL OF SERVICE WHICH WAS NOT FULLY DELIVERED.
