Set in 19th centur warehouse, renovated in February 2016, Design Hostel One is a hostel within a ancient city walls of Split. It is less than 1 km from Bacvice Bay and 5 minutes’ walk to Diocletian Palace. Free WiFi is available.

因為在旅遊旺季前往，住宿費用比較貴，但地理位置好，累了中間可以回來休息一下還不錯！

地理位置很好，在中心位置，離哪裡都很近！

樓下好像是Bar, 晚上比較吵。空調非常冷。

Oikein mukava hostellikokemus.

Erinomainen sijainti Splitin lauttasataman kupeessä. Oma rauha sängyssä verhon takana. 4 hengen huoneessa oma suihku ja wc. Yhteiset tilat kivat, kiva iso parveke / terassi. Mukava henkilökunta! Hostellin edestä kulkee bussi vanhaan kaupunkiin.

Great location, has a lift, the breakfast was good and it has a nice garden.

I wouldn’t say it’s great value for money at all but that’s a reflection of split. We had a private room that was tiny and a bit run down. Also you couldn’t change the aircon temperature so it got pretty cold at times and our blanket was too small for our double bed.

Fab location, lovely rooms and welcoming staff! Beds were comfy and the black out curtains and personal light for each bunk was amazing! Free coffee was so appreciated! Didn’t have the breakfast but wish I did. It looked great and good value! Didn’t have a padlock so they gave me one for the lockers foc too!

Top bunks were a bit hard for people to get up to. Would have liked a hairdryer and a full length mirror but not a deal breaker! I have stayed in a few hostels in centre split and would choose here again!

Very good

This was a lovely hostel. Clean and very modern.

The only negative I had was staying on the top bunk the design of the "ladder" to get up and down are 2 slots in the bunk.. it was very difficult to get up and down using these.. particularly getting down I nearly fell twice.. but I am also quite short so maybe not so much of an issue for people with longer legs.

Me and my friend asked with almost a month prior to be in the same room and they didn’t remember to do so even though they told us they would do it. When we got there, she asked to at least to stay in a all female dorm for safety and they told us it wouldn’t be possible. When i got to my room, there were only girls in my dorm, they could have simply switched us.

Good place in Split for budget travelers

Excellent location 5 minutes from the bus station and in the old town with easy access to the Riva and other major streets. Staff was absolutely wonderful. Room was quiet. LOVE the privacy curtains on the beds. Personal light and functional outlets. Also like that there is a toilet and shower in the room, so you are only sharing with 3 other people (unlike some hostels that only have 2 showers for 20+ people). Towels were wonderfully soft. Overall a good place to sleep on a budget. Note: This is more like a capsul hotel than a true hostel experience.

The hostel had just opened and they were behind in renovations, so I cannot judge them too harshly, because there was a LOT of work that needed to be done. The place has a lot of potential. They were still figuring out the air conditioning, but unfortunately the room was very hot every night that I was there and I did not sleep well as a result. Hopefully they get that dialed in before summer! There was no kitchen which was the worst thing. Because Croatia is very expensive, long term travelers need to make use of a kitchen facility to stay healthy and save money. However in this hostel it was not even possible to boil water for a Nescafe in the morning, which meant we had to eat out for every single meal. Also not really a common area to hang out in and socialize - I think they were working on something, so maybe in a few weeks it will be a bit different. Also the layout of the rooms were not really conducive to meeting people either, but if you are just the the room to sleep it's great for that purpose. One of the lockers in the room was broken. I let staff know, but it was not possible to truly secure the belongings.

love split but this hostel was not worth the money at all.

great location! near the harbor, the beaches and all the restaurants!

we had a private room and it was horrible. so warm and the windows barely opened and the bed was really uncomfortable. the extra bed was just a mattress on the floor. no bathroom door and the shower was broken. way too hot in there and we were not warned that it had a loft and several stairs inside the room. not what we thought we paid for. they are also rebuilding the corridors and we got paint on our bags. no storage rooms available for bags and the public toilets smelled very bad and were very dirty.

could be better

Perfect old town location, nice design

Minimalistic design shouldn't also mean minimalistic service: 1. room wasn't made, almost never somebody at the reception, you have to go find them in the restaurant... 2. no shower gel at all, even though I'm paying 50 Euros per night, 3. aircon works well, but it's a central system, so if you want to change your room temperature, it has to be done by the reception

Perfect location for a cheep price but a bit run down

So location wise this hotel was great because it was in the old part of Split and very close to the waterfront and all the main sights and starting points for tours (all in walking distance of a few minutes) also to the Bus station you only walked about 10 minutes (maybe less) The Hotel belonged to a restaurant (which was okey but not very good) but there were a lot of good restaurants around The staff was very nice and helpful but you normally had to look for them inside the restaurant There was a black light on when you turned your normal light off ...so the bed was shining which was also kind of cool and you could see that it was very clean but at the same time the room was a bit to bright at night The room was not very big but clean and so was the bathroom The bed was comfy as well There were not many extras but all the necessary things were provided

So there is a central aircone which I think its unpractical (they did turned it warmer for me because I was cold but I wonder how many other people then were too hot) The whole place looked a bit run down (the reception even more so then the rooms) No shower curtain ...the whole bathroom was under water after each shower

Staff was super helpful. Location is right in the middle of old town

First room I've checked in wasnt cleaned, dirty toilet was disgusting. Receptionist was lovely and immediately upgraded my reservation to a larger room on the top floor. It was ok, but still lots of little things weren't cleaned and previous guests items were all over the room.

Don't stay here

Location was good

No WiFi as advertised. Damp patches in room. Fire exits were padlocked shut so only one way off of 3rd floor in an emergency. Blinds did not cover windows. Air con was extremely loud and controlled centrally. Windows couldn't be opened. Shower caused flooding in bathroom and made floor dangerously slippery

Nice basic hotel on excellent location in the center of Split

Excellent location of hotel in a center if city, cozy designed, good value for money.

Sleeping in a bunk bed is not comfortable, not enough space and hot, no drawers in room, no fridge.

The staff in the reseption was so nice and helpful. The food in the resturant was good. The location was super👍🏼

They need to clean the rooms alot better, the shower is dirty, it needs a scrubdown!!!! It was dust and sand on the floor… hair in the shower. It should be a tv and a small fridge
